Demo it if you will pay Orgvue to help build your model

You own your outputs and can export them free at the end

• Orgvue's subscription agreement says you own the data you upload and the outputs made from it.
• You can export your data to CSV, PowerPoint or PDF at no extra cost when the contract ends. Orgvue deletes personal data within 90 days of the end, so export first.
• Brittam Insurance says it saved close to $5 million on labour and overheads with Orgvue. It also cut the layers in its organisation by 30%.
• Henshaw, Orgvue's AI assistant, stays off until you choose to turn it on. Orgvue says OpenAI does not use your data to train other AI models.

It serves large global companies and lets you choose a data region

• Orgvue says it serves close to 200 large global companies. Its named planning customers include TVH, a parts supplier with about 5,300 employees.
• Orgvue hosts your data in the EU, the US or Australia, and you choose which. If staff data must stay in the EU, you can keep it there.

You build the model, and you check every AI answer yourself

• You do not get a finished plan. Expert Services or a partner builds the model with you. Orgvue says the aim is for your own team to run the planning afterwards. Plan for your own staff's time as well as the project.
• Orgvue's contract bars you from entering personal data into Henshaw. Orgvue warns that Henshaw's answers may be wrong. You must check each answer yourself, and you carry the responsibility for any decision based on it.
• If a partner delivers your project, Orgvue's end-user contract caps what it owes you for all claims at £50,000. Under a direct subscription, the cap is typically 12 months' fees. Which cap applies to you matters if the project goes wrong.

Orgvue quotes on request, and the price rises 7% a year

Get a written quote from Orgvue before you compare vendors. Orgvue's G-Cloud 15 listing on the UK government's Digital Marketplace gives discounts but no base price. The discount grows with the yearly contract value, from none under £250,000 to 80% above £5 million. Use the G-Cloud discount schedule as a guide when you negotiate.

The Order Form adds 7% a year to the price through the term. You cannot leave a committed term early just because you want to, except for breach or insolvency.

Orgvue bills Expert Services monthly, on top of the yearly subscription. Expert Services set Orgvue up, run the planning project and advise on organisation design and workforce planning. Orgvue offers no free trial, and you pay for a pilot.

What to ask Orgvue before you sign

1. Will your own team or a named partner build our model, and what is the timeline in writing? Good answer: a named team, a named partner if one is involved, and a date in the statement of work.
2. What will our first year cost in total, at our headcount and contract value? Good answer: a written figure before the demo ends, not just a discount percentage.
3. Will you cap the yearly price rise, or tie it to something we can check? Good answer: a capped or indexed rise written into the contract.
4. Can we end the contract early if the plan does not deliver what we agreed? Good answer: a written exit right beyond a serious breach or insolvency.
5. Do the Lightcast and Revelio Labs data cost extra, on top of the subscription? Good answer: a plain yes or no, in writing, before we sign.
6. Does any part of Orgvue besides Henshaw predict or flag anything about a named employee? Good answer: a plain yes or no, in writing, naming each feature that does.
7. Which of our systems link to Orgvue directly, and how does other data get in? Good answer: a named list of live connections, not ones still being built.

Alternatives to Orgvue

If Orgvue does not suit you, look at Nakisa, Anaplan or Visier. The strategic workforce planning guide explains the other kinds of product in this market.

Nakisa gives you a planning method that is already built. It rates your workforce on five measures, including capacity, cost and skills. It then compares six ways to close a gap, such as hiring, training, using contractors or automating roles. You load your own data and set the assumptions, rather than build a model from scratch.

Anaplan is also a platform that your team or a partner builds the model on. BT has run its workforce planning models on Anaplan for about five years. If you want a platform to build on, demo Anaplan as well as Orgvue.

Visier Workforce Planning comes with four ready planning models, but you must buy Visier People Essentials first. Visier's platform can also predict, with a score, which named employee is likely to resign. From 2 December 2027, a named-employee prediction can bring EU AI Act duties for employers in the EU. The Act's duties apply if the use is on its list of high-risk uses, called Annex III.
