Jobvite
Jobvite is a hiring system, also called an applicant tracking system. Its AI feature Talent Fit ranks applicants by how well they match the job and explains each match. Jobvite also has AI that starts a candidate search when a role opens. Jobvite tailors its pricing to your hiring needs. You start with the core system and add modules. Employ owns Jobvite and also owns Lever and JazzHR.
Jobvite ranks your applicants and explains each match, but check the AI contract terms
Talent Fit gives a ranked list of the strongest candidates for a role. It gives a reason for each match and the gaps a recruiter may want to ask about. Its AI can also qualify or disqualify candidates automatically, so ask who controls that.
You already hold applicants in Jobvite and want ranked lists inside the same system.
Your lawyers will not accept terms that make your company responsible for checking the AI’s output. Your company will not accept terms that count signing as the legal notice to candidates that AI is in use.
Ask for a written price for each AI feature.
What Talent Fit and Jobvite’s other AI do with an applicant
Talent Fit is Jobvite’s AI feature for finding the most qualified candidates for an open role. It puts the top candidates in a ranked list. The order shows how well each one lines up with the job requirements. Next to each match, it explains why that person ranks where they do. It also lists possible gaps and areas for the recruiter to clarify. Jobvite introduced Talent Fit on 12 June 2025.
Jobvite’s AI helps automatically qualify or disqualify candidates based on skills and matches them to roles. It can recommend jobs to past candidates. It can book interviews by itself when the candidate and the hiring team are both free. Jobvite’s AI can also help bring in and reach candidates from under-represented groups.
Sourcing is a second feature. Jobvite’s Zero-Click Intelligent Sourcing starts when a requisition opens. A requisition is the formal request to fill a role. The feature then surfaces qualified candidates from the candidate relationship list kept in Jobvite. That is the list of past and possible candidates a team stays in touch with. Nobody has to start the search.
Employ, the company that owns Jobvite, launched the AI Screening Companion on 13 November 2025. It continuously matches candidates to open roles. It flags candidates who are losing interest and sends feedback to rejected candidates. It launched first for Lever customers, with other platforms to follow. Employ also plans identity checks with ID.me for JazzHR, Lever and Jobvite in the second half of 2026.
Who Jobvite’s AI suits
You already hold your applicants in Jobvite
Talent Fit works on the open roles in Jobvite and lists the strongest candidates for each one. You can use the AI without moving your applicants to a new system.
Your recruiters want to see the reason for each match
Talent Fit gives an explanation behind each match. It also lists gaps and points a recruiter may want to clarify with the candidate. A recruiter can use that list as a set of questions for the first call.
You keep a list of past candidates you want to look at again
Jobvite’s AI can recommend jobs to past candidates. Its Zero-Click Intelligent Sourcing starts a search when a role opens. It pulls qualified people from the list of past candidates kept in Jobvite.
You want the AI Screening Companion or AI Screening by VONQ
The AI Screening Companion launched first for Lever customers. AI Screening by VONQ holds chat and voice conversations with candidates. It is available within JazzHR and Lever. Ask Employ whether each one runs in Jobvite today, and from what date if not.
Where Jobvite’s AI and its contract stop
The AI helps qualify or disqualify candidates automatically
Jobvite’s AI helps automatically qualify or disqualify candidates based on skills. Ask whether you can switch this off, and who on your team controls the setting.
Your company carries the risk of the AI’s mistakes
Under Employ’s AI terms the AI may make errors, make things up and add bias. You must review what it produces. The terms make you responsible for the legality of the data you put in. They also make you responsible for how you use and rely on the AI. Employ gives no warranty that the output is accurate.
The terms treat signing as the legal notice that AI is in use
Under Employ’s AI terms, signing the AI addendum counts as any legally required notice that the service uses AI. Ask your lawyer whether candidates in your countries need their own notice.
Your data can help train the AI if you consent
If you instruct, direct or consent to training, Employ holds a limited licence to use your input data. The licence is for training its models. It uses the data in anonymised or combined form. You also consent to Employ using AI-related usage data to improve the AI or its services. Employ may hand AI work to a third party.
Outside companies are approved to handle data for the AI Companions
Employ’s approved list for its AI Companions includes Anthropic and AssemblyAI, both in the USA, and IBM watsonx and OpenAI. Ask which of these touch Talent Fit.
Get a date for any AI that is promised but not yet running
Pay for what runs today. Ask for a date next to every planned feature in the order form.
Employ publishes AI bias audit results for Jobvite. They come from Holistic AI and relate to New York City’s bias audit rule. Ask Employ which AI feature the audit covers.
How Jobvite is priced and what happens to your data when you leave
Jobvite tailors its price to your hiring needs. You start with the core Jobvite applicant tracking system and add parts that Jobvite calls modules. AI-Powered Candidate Matching is among the features of the software. Ask whether it sits in the core system or in a paid module. Ask for the price in writing.
Under Employ’s AI terms, AI features may be available by default. The AI does not process your customer data until you enable it. Ask for each AI feature to be listed on the order form with its own price.
Jobvite’s standard service level agreement commits to 99.5% platform uptime. Lever’s commits to 99.9%. If uptime matters to you, ask Employ whether a Jobvite customer can get a higher figure in the contract.
When a contract ends, deletion from the live system starts 30 days later. It is complete after 45 days. Backup copies are gone by 200 days. Under Employ’s data protection addendum, Employ gives you a copy of your data after termination or expiry, then deletes it. The addendum puts the job of retrieving the data on you unless the agreement says otherwise. Ask for the export to happen before the 30 days start.
You could also find and screen people with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map
Nine questions to put to Jobvite
- Is AI-Powered Candidate Matching in the core Jobvite price, or is it an add-on? Good answer: A written price with a line that names the feature and gives its cost.
- Jobvite’s AI helps qualify or disqualify candidates automatically. Can we switch that off, and who can change the setting? Good answer: Off unless we turn it on, with one named administrator and a record of each change.
- Which AI features run in Jobvite today, and which are planned? Good answer: A written list, with a date next to every planned feature.
- Do the AI Screening Companion and AI Screening by VONQ run in Jobvite today? If not, when, and at what price? Good answer: A yes or a date, and a price, both in the order form.
- Which outside companies handle our candidates’ data for each AI feature, and in which countries? Good answer: A named list for each feature, with a country beside every name.
- Can you confirm in writing that we have not consented to training on our data, and do not by signing? Good answer: Yes, written into the order form.
- Does the published bias audit cover Talent Fit, and roles like ours? Good answer: The full report for Talent Fit, with results for each group.
- Employ named a new chief executive in February 2026. Who owns the Jobvite AI plan now, and is it in writing? Good answer: A named owner and the AI plan for Jobvite written into the order form.
- How do we take our data with us when we leave, and in what format? Good answer: A named file format and a date that falls before the deletion starts.
Alternatives to Jobvite
The alternatives are Greenhouse, Lever and Workable, or buying nothing.
Greenhouse Voice AI interviews applicants by voice. It works with Jobvite, and Greenhouse sells it on its own to teams on other hiring systems. A Jobvite customer can therefore add Voice AI without moving. Greenhouse also builds AI into its hiring system. Its Real Talent add-on includes Talent Matching. Talent Matching sorts applicants into Strong, Good, Partial and Limited groups, plus a group for manual review. Real Talent also checks for fraud. Greenhouse shows categories with explanations instead of a single score.
Lever belongs to Employ too. Lever’s core platform includes AI-powered screening with matching, insights and signals. AI Screening by VONQ is an add-on that holds chat and voice conversations with candidates as soon as they apply.
Workable sells its AI by usage. Workable Agent runs sourcing, screening and a shortlist from inside its hiring system. It searches a database of more than 400 million profiles and scores each candidate out of 100. You add it to any plan and pay in prepaid usage units called AI credits. Evaluating a candidate costs 1 credit and finding a passive candidate costs 2. A bundle of 5,000 credits costs $600.
Buying nothing means no new AI contract terms on candidate data. Our guide to AI sourcing and screening covers what the rest of the market offers.
