Leoforce
Leoforce finds candidates for your company. Three of its products do this. Rediscovery contacts the people already in your records. Capture finds and qualifies new people. Source buys job advertising. Leoforce gives no single list price. Fees cannot be cancelled once signed.
The short answer on Leoforce
Leoforce uses AI to find candidates and score them. Rediscovery also contacts them by text message and email. Your team makes the hiring decision.
Your applicant tracking system holds many past applicants and you want them contacted again. Or you want new people found and qualified for you, paid for each qualified applicant.
You need a price before any sales call. You cannot sign fees that cannot be cancelled. Your legal team will not accept terms that put hiring decisions and your own legal compliance on you.
Custom for every product. It depends on products, volume, roles, traffic, geography, integrations and outcomes. Rediscovery is tiered by database size and open jobs. Capture charges for each qualified applicant.
What Source, Rediscovery and Capture each do
| Product | Its job | Where the people come from | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rediscovery | Brings back people already on file | Your applicant tracking system first, then other talent databases you subscribe to | Tiered by database size and open jobs |
| Capture | Finds and qualifies new people | 30+ channels and existing databases | A charge for each qualified applicant |
| Source | Buys job advertising to reach people | Existing talent first, then paid media | Custom quote |
Leoforce draws on a pool of more than 850 million profiles from more than 70 channels. Its AI can also score and rank your own database.
Rediscovery starts by connecting your applicant tracking system, the software that holds your applicants. It searches that pool first. Then it searches other talent databases you subscribe to. Its sources include more than 60 applicant tracking systems, 16 job board databases and GitHub. Its AI scores the people in those databases on how well they match and how likely they are to reply. It then writes to the best matches by text message and email. Interested people answer in a two-way conversation. Leoforce qualifies them there and hands your team a shortlist.
Capture works on new people. It sources across 30+ channels and existing databases. It qualifies people on skills, experience and fit. It judges them against the number of candidates you want for each opening. It sends the people it keeps into your applicant tracking system. Capture can also book the interview slot.
Source covers paid advertising. AI agents run the job advertising. Source reaches the talent you already hold first. It then buys media outside. Its AI learns from your feedback, such as who you interview, and adjusts the advertising as it runs.
Leoforce also sells Convert, which screens people after they apply, and a self-serve product called Recruiter. Source, Rediscovery and Capture are the three that find new and past candidates. The guide to AI sourcing and screening shows how the rest of the market compares.
Results and the company behind them
A national healthcare provider used Rediscovery to re-engage more than six million candidates. It cut its CPA, a hiring cost measure, by half. For Rediscovery, 60% of previously vetted candidates were reactivated.
Leoforce supports candidate engagement programmes for government bodies, including some federal agencies. Its AI has learned from hiring data since 2012.
Leoforce has over 200 staff and is a certified minority-owned business.
What Leoforce offers a careful buyer
A score comes with its reasons
Leoforce gives each candidate a score for the role. A score details feature explains how Leoforce reached it. Your recruiters can see why a person ranks where they do.
Names can be hidden and diversity can be tracked
Leoforce can mask a candidate’s identity. You can also switch on diversity indicators. Results then highlight matching candidates from those groups without selecting only them. Capture is skills-first and takes in no protected traits.
An outside audit under the New York City law
An independent audit under New York City Local Law 144 found no evidence of bias in Leoforce’s candidate lists. That law covers automated tools that screen candidates in New York City. Each tool needs a bias audit within the year before use.
Security audits and privacy law
Leoforce holds ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type II, two security audit standards. It complies with GDPR, the European Union data protection law. It also complies with CCPA/CPRA, the California privacy laws, and the New York City bias law. Leoforce follows the AI Risk Management Framework from NIST, the US standards body. It also follows ISO/IEC 42001, an AI management standard.
A person can check candidates first
Capture offers an optional human validation layer. Leoforce recruiters then check candidates before your team sees them. Your own team still decides who to hire.
Who Leoforce suits
Your applicant tracking system holds many past applicants
Leoforce’s services need no complex set-up or training. Rediscovery starts by connecting your applicant tracking system.
You have no applicant tracking system, place staff for clients or hire for the public sector
For smaller teams, Leoforce needs no applicant tracking system. For staffing firms, it automates recruiting tasks so staff can focus on client relationships, placements and revenue. For public bodies, every applicant is reviewed against the same criteria.
What the terms and the data practices put on you
Outreach runs without a person writing each message
Rediscovery sends personalised messages to top candidates by text message and email. The outreach is fully hands-off.
Where the candidate data comes from
Leoforce builds profiles from public sources, social platforms, job boards and partners. It adds phone numbers and email addresses from contact providers. Its legal basis for holding the data is legitimate interest.
Where the candidate data goes, and how people ask to be deleted
Leoforce stores candidate profiles and provides them to prospective customers. It shares candidate data with companies that have suitable roles. It may share the data with subsidiaries outside the United States. Candidates can ask for erasure by emailing its Data Protection Officer. Leoforce replies within one month.
Hiring decisions and screening rules are yours
You are solely responsible for hiring decisions and for your own screening protocols. You promise to use data legally and responsibly. You also agree to cover Leoforce for claims that arise from your breach of privacy, data protection and anti-discrimination law.
Liability is limited and the service comes as is
Leoforce caps its liability at the fees you paid in the prior twelve months. You use the software and any data from it at your own risk. The services come as is and as available, without warranty. Leoforce stays liable for unlawful biased results caused by its own gross negligence or deliberate acts. It is not liable for discriminatory selection procedures caused by your manual use of its products.
The public terms are dated August 2022
Leoforce’s public terms were last updated on 4 August 2022. The agreement is governed by North Carolina law, and the Wake County courts have exclusive jurisdiction. You also allow Leoforce to use your name and logo in its marketing.
What Leoforce costs and how to leave
Leoforce uses no single per-seat price across its products. Pricing is custom. It depends on the products you pick, your volume, the number of roles, traffic, geography, integrations and outcomes. Rediscovery is tiered by the size of your active candidate database and the number of open jobs. Capture charges for each qualified applicant.
Fees are non-cancellable and non-refundable. Invoices fall due within five business days unless a statement of work says otherwise. Overdue amounts carry a late fee of 1.5% a month. The agreement renews for terms as long as the first one unless you end it 90 days before it expires.
When the term ends, your right to use the services ends too. Each side returns or destroys the other’s confidential information at the owner’s option. That also applies on ten days’ written notice. Data you supply through your database counts as your confidential information.
You could also find and screen people with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map
Ten questions to put to Leoforce
- What will the quote cover, and what is the rate for each qualified applicant on Capture? Good answer: A written rate for each product, and a written definition of qualified.
- Is human validation switched on for us, and does it cost extra? Good answer: The order form says whether it is on, who does it and what it costs.
- Can we see the full bias audit report, with its date and the roles it covered? Good answer: The full report, a recent date and results for roles like ours.
- Where does the data on people you contact for us come from? What do we tell a candidate who asks? Good answer: Named kinds of source, and a standard reply we can send.
- Can we approve the message wording and the list before any text message or email goes out? Good answer: Yes, for each role, with a way to pause a campaign at once.
- Fees cannot be cancelled and the deal renews unless you give 90 days’ notice. Can we start with a short pilot? Good answer: A pilot term with an exit, and a renewal date set in the order form.
- What happens to the profiles you build and the data we gave you when the term ends? Good answer: Deletion or return in a stated number of days, written into the contract.
- What hiring cost does CPA measure in the healthcare case study, and over what period? Good answer: A written definition, the period and the starting number.
- How many of the six million candidates did you contact, and how many were hired? What counts as reactivated in the 60% figure? Good answer: Counts for contacted, replied, interviewed and hired, and a written meaning of reactivated.
- Your public terms are dated August 2022. Is that the version we would sign? Good answer: The current version, sent in writing before we agree to anything.
Alternatives to Leoforce
Gem, Beamery and Findem each reach past candidates as well as new ones. Buying nothing is a fourth route.
Gem’s AI Talent Rediscovery Agent resurfaces past candidates across its CRM and your applicant tracking system. A CRM is a database of people you keep in touch with. Gem’s AI Sourcing Agent searches more than 800 million profiles. Gem also sells its own applicant tracking system.
Beamery is a talent CRM too. Its searches start from the role. They surface past candidates who nearly got the job, recently engaged people and internal talent. Beamery can charge an extra fee when the number of employees you have moves you into a higher price band.
Findem draws on more than 850 million profiles. It puts warm pools such as past applicants first, then widens to new people. It connects to your applicant tracking system and CRM.
Buying nothing means past applicants are searched by hand.
