Confirm Engage
Confirm Engage is a retention tool for large employers with hourly, on-site staff. Its short surveys reach people by text, email or QR code. Site managers get one action to take. Its starting price is $13 per user per year, but other Confirm figures are higher. Confirm’s pages leave three things open. They are where data sits, who a risk signal points to and which contract applies.
Confirm Engage is built for large frontline workforces and priced per user per year
Engage is Confirm’s engagement and retention product for large employers whose staff work on the front line. It reaches them by text, email or QR code.
You need to hear from staff with no work email or desk. You want check-ins at onboarding, milestones and exit. Site managers should get one action to take from the results.
You need to know in writing where your data sits. Confirm’s pages give several answers. You do not want staff flagged by name as likely to leave. Confirm’s Engage page puts risk signals on employees.
It starts at $13 or £10 per user per year, billed annually. The price is based on a 5,000-person company. It varies with products, workforce size and support level.
Short surveys reach people by text, and site managers get one action
Engage is Confirm’s engagement and retention platform for frontline and deskless workforces. It used to be called WorkStep. Confirm positions it for large employers whose staff mostly work on the front line, in six industries. Its customers include employers in logistics, manufacturing and retail. Engage is one of Confirm’s products, sold apart from the others. They include Learn:Go, Perform, Create, Library and Custom.
Staff answer without an app. Confirm reaches them by email, SMS, WhatsApp or QR code. A company device is not required. Engage listens at onboarding, at milestones and at exit. Annual and always-on surveys run beside them, with two-way feedback channels.
The aim is to give a site manager something to act on. Site managers get a real-time view of team sentiment and one clear action. Confirm adds AI to three jobs. The AI Assistant reads the milestone answers in a leader’s scope each day. It surfaces a shift in sentiment or a new theme when the leader logs in. Comment Insights reads 90 days of open-text comments. AI Replies drafts an answer to an employee in the leader’s own voice. A person reviews each AI reply, and none is sent automatically.
HR leaders get the wider view. Engage tracks eNPS over time. eNPS asks how likely staff are to recommend the employer. Favourability heatmaps cover each site. Industry benchmarking is built in. Predictive turnover risk signals are part of the analytics. Engage records actions by theme and tracks them against retention outcomes.
Getting Engage running depends on your employee list. Confirm integrates its platform with HRIS platforms, CRMs and other people-tech tools. Ask Confirm how Engage gets its employee list. Confirm’s customer success team works with customers from day one.
Our guide to employee engagement software covers how the rest of this market handles the decision.
What Confirm Engage does well
Staff answer without an app
Surveys arrive by email, SMS, WhatsApp or QR code, with or without a company device. Engage needs no app. Shared devices are a third route for answering.
Check-ins follow the employee’s time at work
Engage runs listening at onboarding, at milestones and at exit. A Confirm guide calls its milestone surveys automated and 60 seconds long.
A person approves every AI reply
AI Replies drafts an answer in the leader’s own voice. These drafts are never sent automatically. All three AI features keep a person in the loop.
Actions are tracked against retention
Engage records each action by theme and reports turnover impact by initiative. Confirm tracks every survey response, alert and action against retention outcomes.
SOC 2 and ISO 27001 for Engage
Engage is SOC 2 Type 2 audited. Confirm also reports ISO 27001:2022 certification. Learning Pool gives its SOC 2 report to clients and prospects on request. They must sign a non-disclosure agreement first.
Five things to settle before you sign
Who builds and supports Engage has changed in 2026. Five companies came together under the Confirm name this year. WorkStep will operate as a specialised frontline division within Learning Pool. Learning Pool announced the WorkStep purchase on 20 April 2026 and the Confirm rebrand on 10 August 2026. Learning Pool Limited trades as Confirm. The five cards below are the points to settle first.
Anonymity rests on groups of three
A Confirm blog post refers to a rule of three to protect anonymity. A segment’s demographics or identifiers appear only when at least three respondents sit in it. Three is a small group. Employers can reply to urgent comments and alerts while the writer stays anonymous. Engage also offers confidential two-way messaging. Ask whether the minimum can be raised, and how onboarding and exit surveys are treated.
Risk predictions name people or teams
Confirm’s pages put its risk predictions in two ways. Its Engage page puts predictive signals on the employees most at risk of leaving, weeks before they go. A Confirm guide puts them on teams at risk of turnover. Ask what a manager sees. Learning Pool’s US privacy policy does not allow activity with a high risk of economic harm. It gives automated determinations of eligibility for employment as an example. Ask whether that policy covers Engage.
Confirm’s pages give several answers on data location
The Engage page offers configurable regional data residency. The security page puts data on servers in the UK and US. The supplier list includes Google Cloud hosting for Engage in the USA. It also includes AWS for several services, Engage among them, in the USA and EU. A reader cannot tell from these pages where Engage data sits. Ask for the region in writing.
OpenAI is among Engage’s suppliers
Confirm’s supplier list includes OpenAI as a language-model service, worldwide. Engage is one of the services it covers. Engage’s AI does three jobs. They are the AI Assistant, Comment Insights and AI Replies. Ask which of the three use OpenAI and what text it receives.
Contract terms come from a US master agreement
These are the terms of Confirm’s combined US master agreement. Ask whether Engage is sold under it. After the initial term, that agreement continues from year to year. The fee rises at the end of the initial term. The rise follows the Consumer Price Index increase over the preceding term. To end at the close of the initial term, the customer gives at least two months’ written notice. After that, the customer may end the contract with notice at least one month before each anniversary. The agreement limits Confirm’s liability to the fees paid in the 12 months before the issue, with exceptions. The initial term length is a question for Confirm.
It suits large employers with hourly, on-site staff
Engage suits large employers whose staff are hourly and on site. Confirm positions it for frontline organisations in six industries. PepsiCo Beverages North America has 60,000 hourly workers. GEODIS has 46,000 frontline staff. NFI has 14,000 or more employees. Each result below is Confirm’s own account of a customer.
PepsiCo: new hire turnover down up to 29%
PepsiCo Beverages North America has 60,000 hourly workers. Confirm reports that new hire turnover fell by up to 29% within the first year. Employees who engaged with check-ins stayed at rates 9% higher than those who did not.
GEODIS: a pilot that scaled in three months
GEODIS runs a 46,000-person frontline operation across 168 countries. It began as a four-campus pilot and scaled across the business within three months. Overall turnover fell 22% and new hire retention rose 9%.
Aspire Bakeries: 92% of flagged alerts resolved
Aspire Bakeries supplies customers across 13 locations in the US and Canada. Confirm reports that 92% of flagged alerts were resolved in 180 days. General satisfaction is up 20% since launch. Turnover improved 2% year-on-year in 2025.
Potbelly and NFI: turnover results
Potbelly has 350 restaurants. Confirm reports that frontline turnover dropped by more than 30 points there. NFI has 250 locations across North America and 14,000 or more employees. NFI saw a 36% fall in new hire turnover in the first month and an 18% fall overall.
A starting price of $13 per user per year, and other figures
Confirm gives Engage a starting price of $13 or £10 per user per year, billed annually. The price is based on a 5,000-person company. At $13, 5,000 users come to $65,000 a year.
The price varies with the products you buy, the size of the workforce and the level of support. Onboarding is typically scoped by headcount and number of sites. You can take products one at a time or as a suite.
Confirm’s own blog posts give higher figures. One post sets Confirm at $10 to $18 per user per month. For 100 people it gives $12,000 to $21,600 a year. It adds custom implementation at $5,000 to $15,000, depending on organisation size. A post on calibration software puts Confirm’s base cost at $120,000 to $150,000 a year for 500 people. Ask which products those figures cover.
Leaving is a question to settle before you sign. Under Confirm’s combined US master agreement, the customer loses access to its content and stored customer content on termination. The same agreement tells the customer to save or back up its own materials. Confirm will securely delete the personal data, or return it if directed in writing. Ask whether Engage is sold under that agreement, and how results and comments leave as files.
You could also run survey steps with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map
Ten questions for the first call
- Is Engage sold under the combined US master agreement? What is the initial term? Good answer: A named agreement for Engage and a stated term length.
- What is the smallest group that sees results, and can we raise it? How are onboarding and exit surveys treated? Good answer: A stated minimum we can raise, and a written answer for each survey type.
- In which country or region is our data stored and processed? Which suppliers handle it? Good answer: A named place for each supplier, including OpenAI, Google Cloud, AWS, Fivetran and Looker.
- Which of the three AI jobs use OpenAI, and what text does it receive? Good answer: A named list of jobs and the data each one sends.
- Does a risk signal name a person or a team, and what may we use it for? Good answer: A named level for each signal and a written limit on use in decisions about individuals.
- How does Engage get its employee list from our HR system? Good answer: A named connection for our system, or a file route with a stated schedule.
- What does $13 per user per year cover for our headcount, and what costs extra? Good answer: A written quote for each product and service, implementation included.
- How do results and comments leave Engage in bulk when the contract ends? Good answer: A file format, a deadline and a named contact.
- What is the size of your benchmark base, and does it include our industry? Good answer: A count of customers and employees, and the industry suites we can use.
- Which customer has a workforce closest to ours, and may we speak to them? Good answer: A named customer and a call before we sign.
Alternatives to Confirm, including buying nothing
Culture Amp reports turnover risk only for groups, and Viva Glint builds its benchmarks from data on over 1,300 customers. Buying nothing is a third route.
Look at Culture Amp if you want turnover risk for groups, not people. Confirm’s Engage page puts risk signals on employees. Culture Amp’s turnover risk identifies groups more likely to see departures over the next 12 months. Only hotspots with at least 25 employees appear. Risk is shown at group level only, never as certainty about a named person. The model calculates a score for each employee, and the display stays at group level. Multi-Signal Intelligence, which holds it, is a closed early access programme only.
Look at Viva Glint if the benchmark base matters. Confirm’s benchmarks grow with its customer base. Ask Confirm how large its base is. Viva Glint’s benchmarks draw on data from over 1,300 customers, employing over 10 million people. Its industry suites include Manufacturing and Retail.
Buying nothing means giving up Engage’s check-ins at onboarding, milestones and exit. It also means giving up the daily AI Assistant and the drafted replies. If Engage is sold under Confirm’s US master agreement, you skip its Consumer Price Index rise. If your HR system already runs surveys, our guide for HR system owners covers that route.
