Confirm Perform
Confirm Perform runs your review round and drafts manager reviews with AI. It also asks staff which colleagues need support. The scale-up track starts at $8 per user per month. The frontline track starts at $13 per user per year. Confirm changed owner in May 2026, so check who signs your contract.
Perform runs the review round, with two prices for two kinds of company
Perform runs your review round. It adds an AI assistant that drafts manager reviews. It also asks staff which colleagues need support.
You want review rounds, rating review meetings and feedback in Slack or Microsoft Teams in one product. You are comfortable with managers editing an AI first draft.
You need an uptime figure in the contract. Under the US terms, service levels are on a reasonable-endeavours basis. You need one country for your data, and Confirm’s three documents disagree on where it is held. You do not want a supplier that may keep anonymous data about how your staff use it.
The scale-up track starts at $8 (£7) per user per month, billed annually, for a 200-person company. The frontline track starts at $13 (£10) per user per year, billed annually, for a 5,000-person company.
Admins switch each stage on or off. The AI drafts reviews and feedback.
Perform is an AI-powered performance management platform. Confirm builds it for growing companies of 100 to 10,000 or more employees. Perform was previously called Confirm. It is now sold on a frontline track and a scale-up track.
The review round
An admin switches each stage of a review round on or off and changes it. In the Your Team stage, managers answer custom questions and rating scales for each direct report. A feedback stage asks employees about their manager or about peers they are assigned. The Your Team stage must run after the ONA and feedback stages have closed.
The admin decides in Cycle Admin whether managers can give ratings. Without ratings, managers see only written questions. Confirm’s chosen manager rating scale runs from 1 to 5 with half points.
Managers release each report to the employee, ideally during the spoken conversation. Afterwards the employee rates how helpful the conversation was and leaves comments. That rating and those comments go only to HR and admins, unless the employee lets the manager see them. At the end of the conversations stage, reports can be released for managers who have not released theirs.
Rating review meetings and the nine-box grid
Calibration is the rating review meeting where ratings are compared across managers. In Perform it is a stage where admins change manager reviews and record why. HR admins and calibrators can create their own views of the ratings. When a rating is calibrated more than once, Confirm keeps every value and the most recent one is final.
Admins can also build talent grids, such as a nine-box grid, from any custom question. Any question or any ONA result can set either axis. A person’s box comes from manager ratings and calibration. It cannot be edited directly in the grid. Promotion packets cover packet creation, committee decisions, approvals and export to the main HR system. A packet links to the person’s performance profile and includes the most recent manager rating.
Asking staff which colleagues matter
Perform includes Organizational Network Analysis, or ONA. It asks people four questions. One of the four asks who needs additional support or attention. The stage that includes ONA is on by default in a review round.
Employees do not see the count of heads-ups they received. Managers can switch on a view with the count. The Key Takeaways report ranks employees by a mix of outstanding impact, influence and how often they received heads-ups. Ask Confirm what a heads-up is and who sees the count. ONA finds real contributors and supports promotion and pay decisions backed by data. Normalising ONA data by demographic characteristics goes through your Customer Success Manager.
AI help
The AI assistant drafts a response to every manager review question, including ratings and rating comments. The manager edits the draft. It does not draft promotion recommendation questions. Employees can also generate AI drafts of their own self-review answers. The self-review AI reads objectives, activities and feedback, even where those are not turned on in the self-review. An admin turns the drafts on, with a switch for each question.
Users type a short prompt to create or improve feedback and recognition. That does not need existing performance data. Engagement survey results carry optional AI-written summaries. The AI flags managers who may be rating on visibility rather than performance. Perform also flags high performers who are pulling back, and its AI agents flag retention risks. Its flight-risk prediction accuracy is 73 to 81%.
Admins can create AI agents, which are assistants that help with HR and performance tasks using your own data. The admin picks the data each agent can reach, such as direct reports, objectives or feedback. Seven templates come ready made. Three cover HR business partner advice, manager coaching and people analytics. Four more cover review round help, new manager onboarding, learning recommendations and personal advice. A separate AI Admin role controls them, and it must be assigned on purpose. The AI assistant must be switched on for your organisation first. Ask who switches it on.
Systems it connects to
Perform connects to the main HR system and to task tracking. Rippling connects through Merge.dev, an outside service that links the product to the HR system. The Rippling link needs the customer to hold a Merge.dev Professional or Enterprise plan. Workday connects through a report file that Confirm takes in. Where there is no link, admins import and export users by spreadsheet file (CSV).
With the Merge.dev link, a record deleted in the HR system is not deleted in Confirm. Confirm supports company sign-in and automatic adding and removing of staff accounts. It also offers an MCP server and an API. An API is a connection that lets other software reach its data in both directions. MCP is a link that lets other AI tools use the data.
Managers make the final call, and calibration changes are recorded
Customers report fast, complete review rounds
Foursquare reports 99% participation and 90% of top talent retained with Perform. Its review round now finishes in 24 days. A Crisp senior vice president reports that 98% of reviews were done by the Saturday after a Monday launch. Confirm reports that its AI cuts review writing time by 90%. It also cuts time in rating review meetings by 75%. For QuotaPath’s Director of People Operations, Perform transformed how they do performance reviews. Canada Goose, Thoropass, Ardurra and Trillium Flow are also Confirm customers.
The manager makes the final call
Each manager question has its own switch for the AI draft. The AI does not draft promotion recommendation questions. Confirm tells managers that the review is theirs and that they answer for everything written. It also tells them not to paste the AI output without editing.
Feedback reaches people where they already work
The Slack link works both ways. Slash commands send feedback, recognition and notes from Slack into Confirm. In Microsoft Teams, all four types of continuous feedback can be sent directly. For staff away from desks, a printed QR code opens the feedback tools on a phone.
Calibration changes are recorded and exported
In the calibration stage, admins change manager reviews and record why. Calibrated values export to a CSV file with the calibrator and the date. Filtered results export to CSV in most tables. Separately, an Audit tab records AI management actions such as creating or deleting agents. Only AI Admins see it.
It suits teams who want a questionnaire on colleagues instead of peer reviews
If your managers work away from desks
Confirm sells Perform on a frontline track, priced per user per year. The AI agents support site managers, HR business partners and operations leaders. A printed QR code opens the feedback tools on a phone.
If you want a questionnaire on colleagues instead of peer reviews
Confirm’s cycle builder advises against peer review requests. In Confirm’s view, ONA is more accurate. Confirm reports that it ran peer reviews alongside ONA inside its own company. For companies above a few hundred employees, most of the people both methods picked out were the same.
If your staff already work in Slack or Microsoft Teams
Staff can send feedback and recognition from either tool. They can also talk to an AI agent by direct message in Slack or in a chat in Microsoft Teams.
Confirm’s own pages disagree on what ONA collects and where data is stored
You sign with Learning Pool Limited, trading as Confirm. Marlin Equity Partners announced on 19 May 2026 that it had acquired Confirm HR, Inc. Marlin said in the same release that Confirm will be merged with Learning Pool. Learning Pool announced its rebrand to Confirm on 10 August 2026. In 2026, five companies came together under the Confirm name. Ask what changes for your product, price and contract.
Two Confirm pages disagree about what the questionnaire on colleagues collects
In Confirm’s help centre, ONA asks people questions and does not monitor communication tools. In a Confirm blog post, ONA analyses digital collaboration patterns from Slack, email, calendar and GitHub. Ask Confirm which description applies to your account before you tell staff what is collected.
Three Confirm documents give three answers on where data is stored
Confirm’s security page puts data on servers in the UK and the US. Its help centre puts every server in data centres in the United States only. Its UK contract puts customer content in the UK or the European Economic Area, unless a listed exception applies. Confirm is certified to ISO 27001:2022, an information security standard. Ask which document governs your contract.
The AI reads the employee’s role and department
Role and department are among the inputs to the manager review draft. The AI also reads all data on the manager review page. OpenAI supplies the AI model service for Perform, as one of the outside companies that Confirm passes data to. Confirm uses GPT-4 for review generation and manager coaching. Decide whether you accept these inputs before you switch the AI on.
Confirm may keep anonymous data about how your staff use it
Under the US terms, the supplier may collect anonymous combined data about how your employees use the service. It may use that data to improve the service and to create new features. It owns that data.
Under the US terms, service levels are on a reasonable-endeavours basis
Under the US terms, service levels are on a reasonable-endeavours basis. That means the supplier will make a reasonable effort rather than guarantee a level. The supplier’s total liability is limited to the yearly fee under the contract. If you need an uptime figure, ask for it in writing.
The rating review flag rules do not appear on screen, and final ratings lock
Calibration flags ratings using default rules, such as a change of two or more rating levels. The rules do not appear on screen. Final ratings cannot be edited after the calibration stage ends. Confirm asks customers to tell their Customer Success Manager if the defaults do not fit. The defaults can be changed and new rules added.
Scale-up costs from $8 per user per month. Frontline costs from $13 per user per year.
Confirm sells Perform on two tracks and prices them in different units. The scale-up track starts at $8 (£7) per user per month, billed annually, for a 200-person company. The frontline track starts at $13 (£10) per user per year, billed annually, for a 5,000-person company. Check the unit before you compare. One price is per month. The other is per year.
Pricing varies by product, workforce size and support level. Implementation support and training are included in the subscription. Confirm quotes a bundled price of $240 to $300 per seat per year. Ask which products that bundle covers.
Many companies are running in weeks or sometimes days. Confirm gives a typical set-up time of 48 hours. Under AI agents, Confirm uses the line “Deployable in a day, no engineering required”. Data readiness, HR system and login set-up, review round design, permissions and rollout plan drive the time. Ask how long set-up takes at your size.
Under the US terms, Confirm invoices fees annually in advance. After the first term the contract continues year to year. Fees rise with the Consumer Price Index from the end of the first term. The supplier may also raise the fee after the first term on at least 60 days’ written notice.
You have two notice dates, and the supplier has its own. To end the contract at the end of the first term, you give at least two months’ written notice. After the first term, you give notice at least one month before each anniversary. The supplier may end a contract at any time on one month’s written notice. It then refunds the fee for the unused months.
Under the US terms, you lose access to your content and materials on ending. The supplier deletes personal data or, if you tell it in writing, returns it. Under the UK contract, personal data is kept until it is deleted under the supplier’s cancellation policy. Backups may take a further 12 months to clear. Ask which exit terms apply to you.
You could also run review steps with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map
Thirteen questions for the demo
- Which price track applies to us, and what do we pay per user at our headcount? Good answer. A written quote with the unit on it, per month or per year, and the headcount behind it.
- What does a bundled seat at $240 to $300 per year cover, and does it apply to either track? Good answer. A named list of what the bundle includes, and which track it belongs to.
- Does ONA read any messages, email or calendars, or does it only ask staff questions? Good answer. Only questions, written into the contract.
- What do the ONA counts feed into, and which roles see them? Good answer. A written list of reports and roles, including the Key Takeaways ranking.
- Which of your three documents on data location governs our contract? Good answer. One named country or region in the order form, with every exception listed.
- Can you put an uptime figure and a notice period in our contract? Good answer. A written figure and a written period on our own order form.
- Can we opt out of anonymous usage data collection about our staff? Good answer. Yes, in the order form.
- How long will set-up take at our size, and what do you need from us? Good answer. A written plan with dates, and a list of what we must supply.
- Which exit terms apply to us, and when is our data fully deleted, backups included? Good answer. One named contract and a written deletion date.
- Which company do we sign with, and what changes after the merger with Learning Pool? Good answer. One named company, and a written promise that product and price terms hold for the first term.
- What does the 73 to 81% flight-risk accuracy figure measure, and on whose data? Good answer. A definition, and results from customers like us.
- Which HR systems connect today, and what does the Rippling link cost on the outside service? Good answer. A current named list, and the full cost of the outside plan that Rippling needs.
- Can we see the default rating review flag rules before the first round? Good answer. The default rules in writing, and a way to change them.
Alternatives to Confirm
If Confirm Perform leaves your shortlist, look at Lattice, 15Five, Culture Amp, PerformYard, Teamflect and Windmill. You can also add Risely’s Merlin beside your review product.
Lattice sells its Performance product at $10 per seat per month. It sets a minimum annual agreement of $4,000. Evidence-based review drafts come with every Lattice Performance subscription at no extra cost.
15Five Perform costs $11 per user per month, billed annually. Its AI-assisted reviews left beta on 17 September 2026.
Culture Amp prices by the number of employees, the product and the service tier. All products are billed annually.
PerformYard costs $5 to $15 per person per month. The price varies with employee count and chosen products. There are no additional fees for onboarding or training.
Teamflect is built natively for Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Its Essential plan costs $7 per user per month, billed annually. Its Professional plan costs $11 per user per month, billed annually. The Starter plan is free for up to 10 users.
Windmill works with Slack and Google. Its performance reviews product launched in November 2025. The first 10 seats are free, and each additional seat costs $10 per seat per month.
Merlin is Risely’s AI coach. It runs no review round, so it sits beside a review product and does not replace one. Merlin helps managers write review feedback that fits their company’s standards and guidelines. A manager can also upload feedback already drafted. Merlin coaches them on bringing it in line with the company’s feedback guidelines. Merlin coaches managers on best practice for constructive feedback too. In Risely, an admin sets the company’s feedback guidelines. The manager writes the feedback and gives the rating. Merlin coaches the wording and leaves the rating with the manager. Risely includes review-feedback coaching in its enterprise plan.
Buying nothing is also an option. Compare the per user price above with what running reviews without software costs you.
