Winningtemp
Winningtemp runs surveys all year, reports by team and processes personal data only in the EU and EEA. Answers stop being anonymous in Guided Temperature meetings and in escalations. Some AI features carry a Beta label. The price comes by quote. The contract renews yearly unless you give 90 days’ notice. Moving data to another provider is estimated at 90 days.
Winningtemp runs surveys all year and quotes its price on request
Winningtemp runs employee surveys all year and turns the answers into team results, comments and action plans.
You want short surveys all year with results for each team. Your data must stay inside the EU and EEA. You can wait for a quote.
You need a price before you speak to anyone. You need results for groups of fewer than three people, because three is the lowest setting. You may switch provider on short notice, because Winningtemp estimates 90 days for an export in a switch.
Winningtemp quotes its price through a form. Enterprise is for organisations with 1,000 or more employees. AI Conversation has a 30-day trial with full access.
Winningtemp promises anonymity, with two exceptions staff must be told about
Winningtemp works as a loop. Employees answer short pulse surveys all year. One help article puts the rhythm at weekly or every other week. Another puts it at weekly or monthly. Each employee gets a different mix of questions, chosen by AI. Team results appear as a temperature, compared with benchmarks once there is enough data. Managers and employees then create actions, and an Impact column displays the effect of each finished one. Each Guided Temperature meeting opens with a check on earlier commitments. AI turns team inputs into suggested commitments there.
Anonymous, with two exceptions
Winningtemp tells employees that answers are always anonymous and no manager sees them. The same article then tells them something else. A manager can view their responses in a Guided Temperature meeting, as they are not anonymous. The second exception is the escalation. Winningtemp spots response patterns linked to stress or low job satisfaction. In what it calls an escalation, the employee can choose to contact someone at the company. Winningtemp tells them they are not anonymous in this step. If they make contact, their name and email go to the person they chose. Your launch message to staff needs to cover both. An employee can hide a bullying or discrimination comment from their immediate manager. Managers and administrators read comments without knowing the author. Pulse comments go out in daily batches, so timing cannot point to the author.
Group size decides which teams get which feature
An administrator sets the results level. Three is the lowest value. At level three, three different people must answer before a team’s temperature appears. By default, a comment appears only after three team members have answered. The same floor covers gender and age breakdowns. AI Conversation starts higher. Its default minimum is five respondents, and the customer can set five, six or seven. A team too small to meet the threshold cannot use AI Conversation. Take the results level at three and AI Conversation at its default of five. A team of three or four then gets results and comments but no AI Conversation.
Outside companies run its AI and support
AI Conversation is an anonymous chat in which employees answer in free text. Employees can skip a question. They approve an anonymised summary before insights are generated. Managers see how many people took part but not what any one person said. AI Conversation uses Claude Sonnet from Anthropic in the EU. Generative AI runs on AWS Bedrock in Ireland. Amazon Translate machine-translates custom questions. The support chatbot WinningBOT runs on Ebbot, and its conversations go through Zendesk. Ask for the full list before you sign.
It needs your employee list
Employee data, teams and org structure flow in from an HR system. They arrive through a data link called the Kombo API, or through customised file integrations. Staff can sign in through any standard company login provider, including Azure AD, Google Workspace and Okta. Reliable data usually builds after four to six weeks, Winningtemp tells customers. Plan your first survey round around that wait.
Our guide to employee engagement software covers how the rest of this market handles the same questions.
Where Winningtemp makes privacy and access easier
Administrators cannot see who answered
The system administrator role cannot see who answered or wrote a comment. System administrators and management cannot see individual response data. System administrators cannot read whistleblower reports. The Support role has the administrator’s settings but cannot see temperature or comments. The People Analyst role cannot see comments.
The AI can be switched off by team
Customers can switch off any AI-powered feature. That works for one team or the whole organisation. Users are always told when AI is active. Winningtemp tells customers its AI is not trained on customer data and makes no decisions about employees.
Data stays in the EU and EEA
Personal data is processed only inside the EU and EEA. It goes to servers in Germany run by UpCloud. Responses go to AWS servers in Ireland and the Netherlands. Analysis runs on Microsoft Azure in the Netherlands. Winningtemp became certified in ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 in May 2022.
Staff without computers can answer
Check-in lets people without a smartphone or computer answer on a shared device. It can also use a QR code poster. The app exists for Android and iOS. Winningtemp for Slack and the Teams app carry no extra cost.
Prediction, beta features and contract terms to settle first
This section covers what is still in testing, what Winningtemp leaves to another tool and what the contract allows. A Head of HR needs these before rollout. Each one changes what staff can be promised or what the organisation can recover.
Turnover prediction takes more than one form
Winningtemp offers turnover prediction for teams. The SMART index gives managers an early indication of turnover or sickness-absence risk. A 2019 product blog post covers a model that estimates when each user will quit. Winningtemp tells customers its feedback data is never used to rank, monitor or profile individuals. Ask which of these runs on your account, and who can see the result.
AI Conversation categories differ by article
A setup article refers to a beta period with only some question categories. The activation guide gives three question categories in the pilot. Another article gives 25 categories. Ask whether the beta is still running. AI Conversation is a paid add-on, and its price depends on the plan and the number of licences.
Some features are in testing or gone
Winningtemp removed the daily question feature on 16 October 2026. Labs features are in development and carry a Beta marking. AI summaries and sentiment analysis for open-ended Focus survey questions carry a Beta label. A connection for AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot is a private beta for selected customers.
The Whistleblower feature is not a full EU solution
Winningtemp tells customers it is not a full EU-compliance solution. Anyone at the company can report anonymously through it. It is not available through Check-in. Ask which EU whistleblowing requirements it covers and which need another tool.
Winningtemp may reuse your data
It may use customer data in aggregated or anonymous form for statistics and product development. During the term it may also use customer data to develop the service. That includes data on how you use the service. Under its data processing agreement, Winningtemp may store and process user data for analysis if the data is aggregated. It may use your name and logo in its marketing to say you are a customer. Ask whether the order form can limit these uses.
Liability is capped
Each party’s total liability is limited to 100% of the customer’s payments for the service. That covers the twelve months before the loss. Swedish law governs the agreement. Arbitration at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce institute settles disputes. Winningtemp’s service levels sit in a separate document attached to the contract. Winningtemp must give at least three months’ written notice of material changes to the terms. Ask your legal team to read all of this before you sign.
Ownership can change
Winningtemp may transfer the agreement to a third party in connection with a transfer of its operations. In 2024 Winningtemp reported that it reached profitability during 2023. In June 2023 it reported over 1,200 customers in over 20 countries. Ask who your contract sits with if it moves.
Customers range from a 22-person team to 8,800 employees
Winningtemp reports customers from a 22-person team to an alliance of about 8,800 employees. Find the group nearest to yours below. The results are the figures Winningtemp reports for them.
Teams of 20 to 120 people
A 22-person HSB Norr team reports turnover falling from 30% to 0%. Morrinson Wealth has almost 100 people, a mix of employed and self-employed. GetAccept grew from 30 to 120 employees and reports a 93% response rate.
Companies of 300 to 1,200 people
Löfbergs has 300 employees across eight countries. AddSecure has 1,200 employees in 16 countries. Aqua Dental has 350 employees and Formue had 430 at the end of 2023. Länsförsäkringar Älvsborg reports 500 users and an 85% response rate.
Large groups and seasonal staff
A business unit of Alfa Laval has 2,200 employees. About 8,800 employees in the SpareBank 1 alliance use the surveys. Travel Retail Norway has 1,000 employees, and up to 1,300 in summer.
Reported gains in engagement and turnover
Clavister reports its eNPS going from -40 to +32. eNPS is a score built from asking whether staff would recommend the employer. Clavister’s turnover fell from 14.7% to 3.7%. Fellowmind reports its eNPS rising from 20 to 73 in 36 months, and turnover falling from 18% to 12%. In 2020 Winningtemp reported that customers, on average, had 30% less staff turnover after one year. It also reported 26% fewer reports of negative stress and a 21% increase in employee satisfaction.
A quoted price, a 90-day notice date and a 90-day export
Winningtemp asks for a form to get a quote and gives no figure. Enterprise pricing is tailored to the organisation’s scope. Predictions, guided meetings and recommendations belong to the Standard plan. Optional add-ons sit on top. The AI Conversation add-on is priced by plan and number of licences. Name your headcount and the add-ons you want in the form.
The Norwegian Tax Administration, Skatteetaten, has a contract with winningtemp AB titled “tool for employee surveys”. Its result value is NOK 4,700,000 for 31 July 2026 to 30 July 2029. That gives one public figure. Treat it as one buyer’s contract value and not as a rate card.
Winningtemp offers a 30-day trial of AI Conversation with full access on all plans. All customers can also try AI Conversation for up to three teams at no cost. Ask whether the main product has a trial. Reliable data usually builds after four to six weeks, so ask for one that long. Support is by email, phone and chat in office hours, typically within 24 hours.
Winningtemp offers onboarding for technical set-up and a dedicated customer success manager.
The agreement applies for twelve months from the access date. It renews for twelve months at a time unless written notice arrives at least 90 days before the term ends. Put that date in your diary on day one. Fees are invoiced a year in advance and payable within 21 days. Semi-annual invoicing adds a 7% surcharge. Fees already paid are not repaid on termination.
Two terms cover the price at renewal. On renewal the price list in force applies. A price agreed in the main agreement may rise at most 5% a year. Ask which one governs your contract. Before each new term, the customer may reduce licences, add-ons or plan. Adding licences leads to an updated price from the customer success manager. Paused accounts do not count toward licences.
Leaving has two 90-day clocks. In a switch to another provider, Winningtemp estimates the export and transfer at 90 days from the order date. Winningtemp tells customers it deletes all personal data 90 days after the contract period ends. An export ordered on the last day would finish about when the data is deleted. Order it well before the end date.
On written request, Winningtemp returns customer data in a format it chooses. Free-text feedback is among the exportable data, in CSV. During the term, users can export data or generate reports by role. Generated reports stay available 30 days. In certain cases Winningtemp may charge fees for early termination in a switching process. In a switch, the customer stays responsible for payment of the rest of the current term.
You could also run survey steps with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map
Ten questions to settle before you sign
- Does our plan include weekly pulses, every other week or monthly? Good answer: One rhythm, written into the order form.
- What happens in an escalation, who is told, and what does the employee read first? Good answer: Plain words the employee reads before the escalation, in writing.
- Does turnover prediction on our account cover teams only, or each person? Good answer: Teams only, in writing, with a switch to turn it off.
- Which AI Conversation categories can we use today, and is the beta over? Good answer: A dated list of categories and a stated end to the beta.
- Which outside companies process employee text or support chats for the AI features, and in which country? Good answer: A named list of companies, each with an EU or EEA location.
- Which EU whistleblowing requirements does the Whistleblower feature cover, and which need another tool? Good answer: A written list, so our legal team can check it.
- Can we read the service levels before we sign? Good answer: The document with uptime and response times, attached to our order.
- Which price applies at renewal, the price list in force or our agreed price with the 5% yearly limit? Good answer: Our agreed price, with the 5% limit written into the order form.
- When must we order the export so it arrives before the deletion date? Good answer: A delivery date well before deletion, written into the contract.
- Does the main product have a trial, and can it run for four to six weeks? Good answer: A trial or pilot of that length, agreed before we sign.
Alternatives to Winningtemp, including buying nothing
Two places where Winningtemp stops have an alternative to look at. inFeedo answers the AI Conversation add-on. Eletive answers the Whistleblower limit. Buying nothing is the third route.
At Winningtemp, AI Conversation is a paid add-on. At inFeedo, Amber holds the conversation at milestones and in pulse surveys. Amber asks each employee how they feel, and the analytics show sentiment by team, manager and location.
Winningtemp tells customers its Whistleblower feature is not a full EU solution. Eletive calls its whistleblowing channel compliant with EU whistleblower rules. Ask which requirements it covers. Only an appointed whistleblower auditor can read the comments. The channel is in Eletive’s Standard and Professional plans and not in Essential.
Buying nothing removes the twelve-month term, the 90-day notice date and the export wait. You give up regular team results from Winningtemp. Your HR system may also run a survey, and our guide for HR system owners covers that route.
