hireEZ
hireEZ sells an AI assistant for recruiters called EZ Agent. It searches for people who have not applied, ranks the people who have, and screens candidates by voice or chat. A recruiter decides who moves forward. A solo recruiter pays from $494 a month. A team gets a quote.
One assistant from search to booking, with data questions to settle first
EZ Agent works on top of an applicant tracking system. It finds people, ranks applicants and runs first screens, and a recruiter makes the decisions.
You need to go and find some of your candidates, as well as sort the ones who apply. You want one assistant to do both.
You are a team and you need a price before you speak to sales. You cannot accept a vendor that holds profiles of people who have not applied. You want an outside audit that proves the tool meets New York City’s AI hiring law, Local Law 144.
Solo recruiters pay from $494 a month with a seven-day free trial. For teams, hireEZ sets the price against the tools you replace. A four-week check then confirms it before you sign.
What EZ Agent does from the first search to the booked interview
Start with the search. You give EZ Agent a job description, a candidate profile or a few keywords. It searches more than a billion profiles across 45 or more platforms. It gives the reason for each name it returns. It also searches the tracking system. People who applied for an earlier role come back as options for a new one. Through partner networks it reaches job sites a customer already pays for.
Next comes the outreach. Campaigns run by email, text message and LinkedIn message. A search result turns into a message in one click. Reports show open rates, replies and engagement. People who signed up to hear about jobs stay engaged without manual follow-up.
Applicant Review sorts the people who applied. It reads each application, ranks it and explains the rank. It labels every applicant Best, Good, Partial or Not a Match. It uses only what the applicant submitted. A recruiter can move anyone forward. A recruiter can also reject anyone for any valid reason and add notes. A feature called ResumeSense flags inconsistencies in a CV that could point to fraud. hireEZ’s own tests found that 3% to 5% of CVs held hidden or misleading content.
The phone screen gives every candidate a conversation by voice or chat. It uses your questions and your pass mark. Candidates take it when it suits them. EZ Agent can draft the questions from your job description, and a recruiter can edit them. Each screen produces a transcript, highlights and points tied to the role. It also produces a report on answers that look AI-assisted and on voices that change during the call. A voice service called ElevenLabs conducts the interview. The model scores the transcript against a marking guide the recruiter sets. It gives each candidate a High, Partial or Minimal match.
After a candidate says yes, the assistant books an interview inside rules you set. It lines up calendars across panels and time zones. It also updates statuses in the tracking system and flags top candidates.
A recruiter approves the search plan, reviews every shortlist and rules on every exception. No EZ Agent plan runs without a human decision. The assistant still carries out its plan across platforms without a person starting each step. A setting controls what it can do on its own. The screening model does not disqualify applicants by itself.
EZ Agent reads from the tracking system and writes back to it. It has more than 100 connections to tracking, recruiting and HR systems in all, including Greenhouse, Workday, Lever and Oracle. hireEZ also sells its own tracking system. Teams go live in weeks and see value inside 90 days.
Our guide to AI sourcing and screening shows how the rest of this market handles the same jobs.
hireEZ’s headline figures, and what to ask about each
70 or more Fortune 500 teams use the platform. EZ Agent delivers 80% more qualified candidates. Applicant Review cuts manual review by 80% and screens CVs 70% faster. These are hireEZ’s own figures.
Ask what the 80% more qualified candidates is compared with. Ask whether the figures come from the new platform.
It works with the big tracking systems and gives a reason for every name
It works on top of a tracking system, yours or hireEZ’s
EZ Agent has more than 40 ready-made links to tracking systems, including Greenhouse, Workday and Lever. Customers on the older hireEZ keep their data, links and contracts when they move to the new platform.
Each name and each ranking comes with a reason
When EZ Agent finds a person, it shows how and why they match the role. When it ranks an applicant, it explains the rank. A recruiter can read the reason before agreeing or overruling it. That gives you an answer for a hiring manager who asks why a person made the shortlist.
Outside firms have tested its AI
Armilla, an AI assessment firm, tested the phone screening model on 30 April 2026. It checked 792 scored transcripts across 10 roles. It tested the applicant ranking model on 25 February 2026, using 3,676 profiles across 10 roles. Warden AI, which audits AI hiring tools, checks hireEZ’s candidate search every month.
It holds the main security certificates
hireEZ holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 and 27701. These are security and privacy certificates. It adheres to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension. These are the rules for moving personal data from Europe to the United States. A review dated 31 October 2025 checked it against 44 requirements of GDPR, Europe’s data protection law. Staff can sign in with a company login.
It works for a lone recruiter, staffing firms and employers cutting search spend
A lone talent acquisition person
First Entertainment Credit Union has 500 employees. Its talent acquisition partner is the only talent acquisition professional there. Premier Search, a staffing company, appears in a case study with one employee.
Smaller employers that already run a tracking system
Tango Card is a technology company in Seattle with 150 employees. It uses JazzHR and Lever.
Staffing and recruiting firms
hireEZ sells to staffing firms and recruitment outsourcing firms as well as employers. IQTalent Partners is a recruiting firm of 200 or more people. It gets 7 times more qualified talent and twice the engagement compared with its previous platform.
Employers that want to spend less on search tools
HatchWorks is a software company in Atlanta with 200 or more people. It cut its LinkedIn Recruiter spending by 61% and its time to hire by 40%. Dental Care Alliance has more than 5,000 people. It cut its total recruitment budget by 20%.
Employers that run a lot of outreach
Nordson has more than 8,000 people. It has a 74.4% email open rate, an 18.1% reply rate and 2.5 times more qualified candidates. BrightSpring Health has more than 37,000 people. It accessed 281,740 candidates and qualified 87%.
It holds data on people who have not applied, and the AI learns from use
New York City has a law on hiring software, called Local Law 144. If you hire in New York City, it covers tools that substantially help assess or screen candidates. You need a bias audit of the tool from the past year and you must publish a summary. You must also tell candidates about the tool ten business days ahead, and they can ask for another process. The city defines a candidate as a person who applied. It says scanning a CV database or sending outreach falls outside the law. Applicant Review and the phone screen work on people who applied, so the law can apply to them. The duty falls on the employer or recruiting agency, not on hireEZ.
Its profile database covers people who have not applied
hireEZ collects profiles of people who have not applied and keeps them in its own Talent Database. Outside data providers supply their contact details. hireEZ is registered as a data broker with the California Department of Justice. A data broker collects and sells personal data about people it has no direct relationship with. hireEZ shares California residents’ work details with employers looking for their skills. California’s privacy law, the CCPA, counts that as a sale. Californians can opt out. People can also ask for access, correction or removal through a portal.
Your chats and hiring outcomes can help train its AI
Chats with EZ Agent may be reviewed and used to improve hireEZ’s AI models. The AI also learns from hiring outcomes, recruiter behaviour and candidate replies. What it learns from a team’s corrections stays inside that customer’s data. In 2024 hireEZ used GPT, an AI model from OpenAI. It stored customer data with Amazon Web Services in the United States. OpenAI was under contract limits on keeping or using that data. Ask whether the same holds on the new platform.
The bias checks come with stated limits
Armilla’s assessment does not certify the phone screening model free from bias. Warden AI’s New York City report used Warden’s own set of real candidate profiles. Past data was not available. Warden AI’s report is not evidence of full compliance with Local Law 144. In 2020 a hireEZ release note described a diversity filter that guessed Native American from family names. Ask whether any filter still guesses ethnicity from names.
One login works on one device at a time
Signing in from two browsers or two devices is rejected. If a recruiter works from a laptop and a phone, test that before you sign. Two people cannot use one login at the same time.
Solo recruiters pay from $494 a month, and teams get a quote
Solo recruiters pay from $494 a month. That plan comes with a seven-day free trial.
Teams do not get a flat price for each user. hireEZ used to list one, and the list price stopped matching what the product does. It sets the enterprise price against the tools a customer replaces. A four-week check with the customer’s team then confirms the price before signing.
Two US federal orders show what public buyers paid. In 2022 an order described as HIREEZ professional recruiting support came to $41,600. In 2023 the Department of the Navy signed a fixed-price order described as HIREEZ for $95,550.
A customer can ask hireEZ to remove its data. If the customer does not ask, hireEZ keeps the stored data for three years and then destroys it.
You could also find and screen people with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map
Eight questions for the demo
- Which steps can EZ Agent take without a person starting them, and who on our team can change those settings? Good answer: A written list by step, one named admin who can change it, and a log of every change.
- Will you use our chats, interview data and hiring outcomes to train your AI? Which AI provider and storage country apply on the platform that opened in August 2026? Good answer: A written no for our account, or a clear opt-out. Also a current security document.
- Can we have the full bias audit for the applicant ranking and the phone screen? Good answer: The full report, with figures for roles like ours. We can publish it if New York City rules apply to us.
- Where do the profiles of people who have not applied come from, and how does a person get removed? Good answer: Named data providers, and a removal request that also reaches the copies in our own system.
- What will we pay, and which actions cost extra, such as finding contact details or exporting profiles? Good answer: A written quote that lists users, features, any extra charges and the renewal terms.
- Which of our systems can EZ Agent write scores and statuses into? Good answer: A named list of systems, and what appears on the candidate’s record in each.
- What does a candidate get if they ask for something other than an AI phone screen? Good answer: A named route to a person, which does not count against the candidate.
- When the contract ends, how do we get our data out, and when is it deleted? Good answer: A stated file format and a deletion date written into the contract.
Alternatives to hireEZ
If hireEZ comes off your shortlist, look at SeekOut, Gem, LinkedIn Recruiter and Juicebox, or buy nothing.
SeekOut does a similar job. It searches about a billion profiles and a customer’s tracking system. Applicant scoring and AI screening cost extra on its Team and Enterprise plans. They come included at the top tier. Its entry plan, Sourcing Core, is for small businesses and solo recruiters. It costs $149 a month paid yearly or $179 billed monthly, with a 14-day free trial. Other plans are quoted. In March 2026 SeekOut priced its AI screening, called Sam, at about $2 per completed interview.
Gem has an AI sourcing assistant that searches more than 800 million profiles. Its AI application review scores and ranks every applicant against your criteria. Gem also sells its own tracking system. It prices by the number of employees you have. Companies under 30 employees get its all-in-one product free for six months.
Hiring Assistant is an AI assistant inside LinkedIn Recruiter, sold as an add-on to a Recruiter contract. It comes in three tiers with monthly limits. For corporate customers, Tier 1 allows 200 sourced candidates and 3,500 evaluated applicants a month.
Juicebox lets you search in ordinary words. It has a free plan. Its AI assistants cost $199 each a month as an add-on.
Buying nothing is a real choice. Count the roles you fill in a year and how many are hard to fill. Compare that with $494 a month, the published solo price. Our market guide sets out the jobs this software does, so you can decide which of them you need.
