Talview
Talview’s AI interviewer, called Ivy, talks to each candidate, scores the answers and ranks the people who finish. Recruiters review the reports and decide who to hire. You get a price by asking for a quote, and the terms let Talview end your service at any time. Get notice and uptime promises into your order form.
Talview interviews and ranks high volumes of candidates, and you get the price by quote
Talview interviews every candidate in the same structured way, scores the answers and ranks the results. Recruiters read the reports. They can also set rules that move candidates on automatically.
You interview thousands of people for the same few roles. You use an applicant tracking system such as Greenhouse or Workday. You want scores and transcripts your hiring managers can read.
You hire a handful of people a year. Your legal team will not accept terms that let the vendor end the service without notice.
Talview prices by unit and gives a quote after you fill in a form. Talview lists Ivy at $5,000 for a one-month subscription on Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace.
Talview Ivy also has a page in our guide to AI interview agents. Read the Talview Ivy page for how the interview itself works.
Ivy interviews each candidate, scores the answers and puts people in order
Ivy runs the first interview for you. It asks structured questions about behaviour and skills, and it asks follow-up questions as the candidate answers. It holds thousands of interviews at once. No recruiter needs to sit in.
A recruiter picks or edits an interview template for the role. You can set the scoring to match how your team hires. Ivy scores each answer against the skills the role needs. When the interview ends, Ivy produces a report. It holds an overall score, a score for each skill, a summary, notes on behaviour and a transcript.
Talview then ranks candidates against each other. Recruiters set a pass mark and change how much each score counts. Recruiters can also set rules that move candidates to the next step on their own. Ranked candidate pools make shortlisting decisions three times faster.
Talview also scores people who applied but have not been interviewed. It ranks the whole applicant pool from strong fit to weak fit. Scores can use years of experience, skills or certificates, education and career history. Recruiters see the score, the reasons and a suggested next step.
Ivy also reads non-verbal cues. The EU AI Act bans AI that infers emotions at work, except for medical or safety reasons. Ask Talview which cues Ivy reads and what each one changes.
The same interview for everyone, with a reason behind every score
Every candidate gets the same interview
Each candidate gets the same structured interview and is scored against one marking guide. Ivy gives an example behind each rating. A hiring manager can see the reason for every score.
System flags never reject anyone on their own
Talview’s services do not accept or reject anyone based on system flags, and a person reviews each flag first. GDPR is the EU data protection law. It lets people refuse a decision made only by software when it seriously affects them.
It connects to Greenhouse and Workday
Talview pulls applications from Greenhouse and Workday, the systems that hold candidate records. It sends interview forms and status changes back. Other systems connect through standard integrations or a programming interface. Set-up takes days.
It checks who is on camera
Talview checks candidates by face, voice and device. Ivy watches for a stand-in taking the interview and for signs of outside help. Face matching uses Microsoft tools.
Security, fairness and legal cover
Ivy has a SOC 2 Type II certificate, an independent report on how a vendor protects data. Talview meets ISO 27001, an international security standard. Every model is tested to reduce bias. Outcomes are monitored against diversity measures. Third parties audit its fairness. Talview also commits to defend you if someone else claims the platform breaks their patent or copyright.
It suits teams that interview thousands of people for the same roles
Teams that interview thousands of people
Ivy is built for high-volume hiring in call centres, outsourced business and IT-enabled services, and technology firms. It supports several languages. A team with a few hires a year will not need that.
Teams with a clear list of skills for each role
Hiring managers define the scoring once for each role template. Talview then screens everyone who matches. This works best when you already know what a good answer looks like.
Talview can end your service without notice and caps what it owes you
Talview can end your service at any time, with no notice
The terms of use let Talview end the agreement and your access whenever it likes. They promise nothing on availability, security or results. Ivy comes with a service agreement. Ask for a notice period and an uptime promise in it.
The most it will pay back is six months of fees
Talview caps what it owes you at the fees you paid in the six months before a claim. California law and California courts govern the terms. Ask a lawyer what that means outside California.
Every interview is recorded
Ivy records and transcribes every session. Talview may collect face images, audio, screen capture and the candidate’s surroundings. Tell candidates before the interview starts.
Candidate requests come back to you
Talview is the processor, the business that handles data for you. You are the controller, the business that decides how data is used. Candidates who want to see, correct, erase or export their data are told to ask you. Decide who answers them.
Interviews are online only
Talview runs only online interviews and assessments. A candidate who needs another format is told to speak to the hiring organisation. You provide any in-person option yourself.
Candidate data can be processed in several countries
Personal information may be processed in the USA, the European Union, the wider European Economic Area (EEA) and India. Hosting is in the United States, Europe and Australia. Clients in the EU, or clients who need GDPR compliance, are hosted in the EU.
Ivy is still new
Ivy was in pilot with some customers in July 2025. Ask how many customers use it today.
Talview quotes a price per unit, and lists Ivy at $5,000 a month on Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace
Talview prices by unit, and each feature has its own unit. Options exist for single features and for bundles. You fill in a form and a salesperson contacts you.
A first order typically needs about 150 to 200 candidates. A pilot above 10 candidates may cost extra. Ask for the price of a 150-candidate first order in writing before you agree to a pilot.
Talview lists Ivy on Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace on a one-month plan at $5,000. The plan renews automatically. Companies that buy from Microsoft can pay with Azure credits. Check that the marketplace plan matches what your salesperson quotes.
When a contract ends, Talview destroys the data it processed for you and shares proof. Until then it keeps the data as long as the service needs it. By default, Talview keeps data for six months. The service agreement sets this.
You could also find and screen people with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map
Nine questions before you sign
- What notice will you give before ending our service, and what uptime do you promise? Good answer: A written notice period and an uptime figure in our own order form.
- Will you raise the six-month cap on what you owe us? Good answer: Yes, to at least a year of fees, written into the order form.
- What does Ivy treat as non-verbal cues, and what does it do with them? Good answer: A short list that does not include mood or emotion. A cue never changes a score on its own.
- Which of our applicant tracking systems can Ivy send scores back to, and what shows on the candidate record? Good answer: A named list that includes our system, with the score and a link to the transcript.
- Where will our candidates’ interviews be stored, how long do you keep them and how do we export them? Good answer: A named country, a retention period we can shorten, a file format and a deletion date with proof.
- What does a candidate get if they cannot or will not take an AI interview? Good answer: A named alternative that does not count against them.
- Who ran the third-party fairness audit, and can we read the results? Good answer: A named auditor, a date and a report we can keep.
- Which of our rules can move on or turn down a candidate with no person looking? Good answer: A named list of rules, a setting to switch each one off and a person who reviews every turn-down.
- How many interviews does the $5,000 marketplace month cover, and what does each extra one cost? Good answer: A written number of interviews, a price for extra ones and the cost of a 150-candidate first order.
Alternatives to Talview
If Talview does not fit, look at HireVue, HeyMilo, Humanly, Maki People and CodeSignal, or buy nothing.
HireVue sells an AI Interviewer with agents that ask follow-up questions and record answers. HeyMilo screens every applicant by voice, video, text message and forms in more than 20 languages. Humanly is built for hourly, frontline and high-volume hiring. Maki People’s Mochi agent runs the recruiter phone screen. It sends results to your applicant tracking system as they come in. CodeSignal runs AI interviews for volume roles, customer-facing screens, support and operations, and an engineering behavioural screen. Its Build plan costs $79 a month, billed annually. It covers the Product, Design and Engineering AI Interviewers.
Buying nothing is also a real choice. If you interview a few dozen people a year, your recruiters can run the first call. Talview’s minimum first order is far larger than that.
