Breezy HR

Breezy HR publishes its prices and charges nothing per user. You pay for its AI scoring with prepaid credits, and you can let the score move applicants forward. An outside auditor checks the score for bias each month, but the legal duties stay with you. The terms let Breezy stop the service without notice and cap what it owes you.

Published prices and no fee per user, with AI scoring as a prepaid extra

In one line

Breezy HR is a hiring system that publishes its prices and charges nothing per user. Its AI scoring is a prepaid extra. Under its terms, Breezy may stop the service without notice.

Buy it if

You want to read prices before you talk to sales. You want every recruiter and hiring manager in the system without paying per person. You are happy to prepay for AI scoring in credits that never expire.

Do not buy it if

You need a firm promise that the service keeps running. You need your HR system linked on a cheaper plan, because those links start on Business. You will not accept a cap set at the greater of $20 or three months of fees.

Price

Startup is $157 or $189 a month. Growth is $273 or $329. Business is $439 or $529. Breezy does not say which price is for yearly billing. Bootstrap is free. Pro has no published price.

Breezy HR runs your hiring and scores applicants with AI you control

Breezy HR is an applicant tracking system. That is the software that holds every job, applicant and hiring stage in one place. You post a job to your career site and to more than 50 job boards. Applicants move through stages that you set up. Each job gives you one view of its candidates.

The record of each interview stays with the candidate. Interviews can run as video calls inside Breezy. The recording saves to the candidate’s profile, next to the CV and your notes. Candidates can pick their own interview times, and interviewer availability syncs with Google or Outlook calendars. Offers start on the Business plan. E-signing starts on Growth.

The main AI tool is Applicant Insights. It scores applicants from 0 to 10 against criteria that you control. Breezy drafts up to five scoring categories from your job description, and you edit them. Every score comes with a breakdown. Breezy strips personal details before it scores and compares the application with your job description. Your team makes the final call.

You can also let the score move people, and that choice matters most. With a minimum score set, candidates can move from Applied to another stage on their own. Breezy calls the stage for rejected candidates the disqualified stage, and a score can never send anyone there. Screening questions work differently. You can set a rule that rejects a candidate by their answer. You set that rule yourself, by the answer you choose.

Breezy’s own sample pipeline goes this far. In it, strong applicants move forward by score from Applied. The first human touch comes at interview scheduling, in stage four. If you copy that setup, nobody on your team reads those early applications before the score moves them. So decide who reads early applications, and whether that suits the law where you hire.

Not every applicant gets a score, so someone still has to read the rest. Applicant Insights does not review candidates who were already in your pipeline before you switched it on. It skips CVs it cannot read, such as scans. It also skips candidates in the disqualified stage. It scores each candidate only once.

The must-have categories need care too. A candidate who scores under 5 in one has the overall score capped at that score. So one weak category can pull the whole score down. Breezy advises avoiding education, experience or employment gaps as must-have variables where possible. Scores that include file attachments carry a flag, and the score does not move those candidates. Breezy advises treating those scores as a screening signal, not a pass or fail.

Other AI tools sit alongside the score, and each raises its own question about who can see or do what. Resume Audit looks for signs that a CV was written by AI, copied or tailored automatically. AI Candidate Sourcing suggests people who applied to your other jobs. It needs at least 500 candidate records. It leaves out people added more than three years ago. It also leaves out people with no email, expired GDPR consent or a block. Reaching out sends an email inviting them to apply. Sourcing can also make old profiles visible to users who had no access to the original job. So check who can see what before you switch it on.

Two newer tools are in beta, so ask what may change. AI Interview Analysis scores the transcript of a video interview against your criteria. It needs a video meeting transcript and cannot be used with scheduling links. Its score does not feed the candidate score, so the two sit apart. The Breezy MCP server connects an AI assistant to your account. That gives you a second way to act on candidates, besides the people who log in. The assistant can read candidates, CVs and feedback. It can also create positions and candidates, move stages and send messages. The permissions of the user who connects it limit what it can do.

Partners add more AI, and Breezy’s monthly audit covers Applicant Insights. So ask what checks cover a partner’s scores. Mega HR’s assistant Megan can screen applicants, book interviews and run AI-led video interviews inside Breezy. It needs an active Mega HR account. Claira scores all applicants for open roles and ranks them.

When you hire someone, Breezy exports the candidate to your HR or payroll system to create the employee record. It does this for 16 systems, including BambooHR, HiBob, Rippling, Gusto and Deel. Those links start on the Business plan. Zapier connects Breezy with more than 2,000 other apps. Breezy also has a public API for your own developers.

An admin switches on each AI tool. An admin turns on each Breezy Intelligence tool in Company Settings. Anyone who can create or edit positions can then turn on Applicant Insights for each position. That puts a real decision about screening in the hands of whoever edits a job. Write down who may do it.

Our guide to applicant tracking systems covers how the rest of this market handles the same choices.

What the bias audit and the credit counts measure

Two sets of figures decide whether Applicant Insights is safe and affordable. The first is an outside bias audit. The second is how many credits each AI action uses. They answer different worries, fairness and the size of the bill.

Warden AI audits Applicant Insights every month for bias by sex, by race or ethnicity, and by both together. The latest audit is dated 1 October 2026 and covers a sample of 30,024. All three results read Clear. An impact ratio compares each group’s selection rate with the most selected group. In the New York City report, the ratio is 1.00 for female applicants and 0.99 for male applicants. For race and ethnicity the ratios run from 0.98 to 1.00. The ratio is 0.98 for Asian and Hispanic or Latino applicants. It is 1.00 for Black or African American and White applicants.

Read the audit’s limits before you rely on it. For the New York City audit, Warden used test data. That was its own data set of real candidate profiles, because it had no access to historical data. Warden itself adds that the audit reflects behaviour under controlled test conditions. It is not a formal certification or compliance determination.

The audit matters most if you hire in New York City. There, Local Law 144 puts the audit duty on the employer. Breezy’s audit exists and runs monthly. The law still asks the employer to publish a summary of the latest audit and to give candidates notice. Under the city’s guidance, the vendor that built the tool is not responsible for its bias audit. Our market guide covers the rest of the law.

One point is specific to Breezy’s score. The city reads “substantially assist” as including relying only on a tool’s output. If the score alone moves applicants from Applied to another stage, that may count as relying only on its output. So ask before you switch on automatic moving.

Credits set the bill. Scoring a candidate typically uses about 500 credits, and a CV audit up to 600. A refresh of an Activity Summary typically uses up to 700. Each AI sourcing run uses about 50,000. At the starting rate of $30 per 100,000 credits, scoring one candidate costs about 15 cents. At that rate, scoring 1,000 applicants costs about $150, and one sourcing run costs about $15. The 14-day free trial includes 100,000 credits.

What works in your favour before you sign

Four things work in a buyer’s favour at Breezy. They cover the bill, your data, moving in from another system and equal-opportunity records.

Every plan has unlimited users

Every Breezy plan includes unlimited users. Recruiters, hiring managers and interviewers can all work inside the system without a fee for each person. So the bill depends on the plan you pick, not on how many colleagues you invite. Breezy Intelligence credits, the prepaid units that pay for its AI, never expire.

Your content stays out of AI training

Under its terms, Breezy does not use customer content to train AI models. The data protection addendum of its owner, LTG, also covers the suppliers that handle data for Breezy. It bars the vendor and those suppliers from using customer data for AI training unless you authorise it in writing. Breezy’s terms apply that addendum wherever Breezy acts as processor for your data.

Moving in from four rival systems can be free

Breezy moves your records from JazzHR, Workable, Greenhouse or Lever at no charge for up to 25,000 candidate records. Larger moves cost a one-time fee from $250. Migrations are only for Growth, Business or Pro customers who pay yearly. A move typically takes seven business days and may take longer. Breezy does not guarantee migrated data against errors. So check a sample of records before you switch off the old system.

Equal-opportunity reporting is part of Breezy, but check which plan carries it

Breezy’s help articles put GDPR, EEOC and CCPA compliance features in the free Bootstrap plan. Its price comparison puts EEOC and OFCCP reporting in the Startup column. So ask which plan carries the reports you need. EEOC and OFCCP are the US agencies for equal-opportunity and federal contractor hiring. With the Dispositions feature on, Breezy asks for a reason whenever a candidate moves to the disqualified stage. Breezy calls storing those reasons essential for OFCCP requirements.

Customers report fast hiring at a range of sizes

The customers’ own reports suggest Breezy suits teams that hire often, hire in volume or hire fast. Breezy sells pricing for teams of 10 to 10,000 people. Its customers range from 1 to 25 people at Pointed Copywriting to more than 1,000 at Nando’s Peri-Peri and Waitr. Breezy’s own count is 17,400 companies, 28,920,000 candidates and 400,000 hires in 83 countries. The four reports below show what that means in practice.

Waitr hired 1,800 drivers in one month

Waitr has more than 1,000 people. It reports a time to hire of about one week for drivers and about 100 days for an engineering position. So its strongest result is for repeated roles that need a fast decision. It hired 1,800 drivers in August.

DP Logistics cut the time to close a candidate from a month to 10 days

DP Logistics has 101 to 500 people. It reports that the time to close a candidate fell from a month to 10 days. If speed is your problem, that is the result to test in a trial.

Dodge Data & Analytics reports saving over 80% of its hiring time

Dodge Data & Analytics has 501 to 1,000 people. It reports that Breezy saves it over 80% of the time it spent before. Ask Breezy what Dodge counted as hiring time, or for a reference call.

Docebo has averaged four hires a month since 2015

Docebo has 101 to 500 people. It reports growth of 158% since it adopted Breezy in 2015, averaging four new hires a month. That is a steady pace of hiring over many years, not a one-off surge.

Eight limits to weigh before you sign Breezy HR

Most of Breezy’s limits sit in its terms, so each one is worth raising before you sign. The others cover your data, the AI credits, the legal duties for AI and who owns Breezy. The cards below give the detail.

Breezy may stop or change the service without notice

Your hiring runs on this service, so the notice period matters. Under its terms, Breezy may stop, suspend or modify the service at any time without prior notice. It may change the service in its sole discretion. It may also revise the terms and post the current version on its website. Breezy last updated its terms on 10 August 2026.

Breezy caps what it owes you at three months of fees, or $20

Under its terms, Breezy caps its total liability for all claims about the service. The cap is the greater of $20 or what you paid for that service in the past three months. So the cap follows your fees, not your loss. Florida law governs the terms, which matters if you hire outside the US.

Support hours follow US weekdays

Support runs by email and in-app messaging on weekdays from 9 am to 8 pm EST, excluding US federal holidays. If you hire in other time zones, that window may leave gaps. Breezy will endeavour to answer helpdesk tickets within 24 hours. That is an aim, so ask what happens when it is missed.

You grant Breezy a licence to your content that you cannot withdraw

You keep ownership of your content. You also grant Breezy a worldwide, irrevocable licence for the term of the service. The licence carries the right to sublicense. So Breezy can pass rights in your content to others while the service runs.

Your data passes through more than one supplier

If you choose Germany, ask whether CVs are still read in the USA. Breezy hosts on Amazon Web Services, in Germany or the USA by your choice. A supplier called Sovren reads CVs into the profile in the USA. So hosting and CV reading can sit in different countries. For applicant data, you act as the controller, the party that decides how it is used. LTG acts as the processor that handles it for you. The LTG group holds ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certificates. The SOC 2 Type II reports for 2026 and 2025 are restricted documents that need an NDA. If you hire in the EU, GDPR consent also matters. Candidate consent lasts 24 months by default. Admins can adjust the period and choose auto-renewal and auto-removal. Auto-erasure removes candidates on the first Sunday 14 days after consent expires.

AI scoring stops when the credits run out

With no credits left, Breezy switches its AI functions off until you add more. You can add credits when the balance is below 300,000, and the account maximum is 1,000,000. A customer who cancels gets no refund for unused credits. So check your balance often, because scoring stops when it reaches zero.

The legal duties for AI scoring stay with you

Under Breezy’s terms, AI content may be inaccurate or incomplete. It may also be misleading, outdated or biased. It should not be the sole basis for any recruiting or employment decision. You remain responsible for employment, discrimination, privacy and AI laws. That includes notice, consent, audit, assessment or human oversight requirements. The EU AI Act puts recruiting tools on its list of high-risk uses, known as Annex III. An Article 6(3) exemption can apply. It does not apply when the system profiles people. The EU Digital Omnibus sets 2 December 2027 as the date these duties apply to Annex III systems. Breezy designs its AI features with the EU AI Act, GDPR and CCPA in mind. Its terms still leave the duties with you.

Breezy has belonged to LTG since 2019, and LTG changed hands in 2025

LTG bought Breezy in April 2019. On 31 March 2025, Leopard UK Bidco Limited became owner of LTG’s entire share capital. Funds managed by GASC APF, L.P. own that company. LTG shares were suspended from AIM, a stock market, the same day. Under its terms, Breezy may assign the contract without restriction, while you need its written permission. So the contract could pass to another company without your say. Your data protection terms come from LTG’s addendum, so read LTG’s documents as well as Breezy’s.

What it costs, and what happens to your data when you leave

Three things set your price at Breezy. They are the plan, the AI credits and the add-ons. You cannot judge the plan from the headline figure, because the features you may need sit on different plans.

Bootstrap is free. It keeps one active job opening or candidate pool at a time. It gives unlimited access to candidates added in the last 30 days. Breezy publishes two prices for Startup, Growth and Business and does not say which is annual and which is monthly. Startup is $157 and $189 a month. Growth is $273 and $329. Business, for high-volume hiring, is $439 and $529. Yearly billing includes two months free. Ask which price you pay.

Pro has a Contact Us button in place of a price. It includes everything in Business plus a dedicated account manager. It also gives you the option to add API access, advanced reporting and data export and import. Single sign-on, which lets staff log in with their company account, is on Pro.

Features switch on by plan. E-signing, the employee portal and the recruiter portal for outside recruiters start on Growth. Position approvals, offers and offer approvals start on Business. So do links to assessment tools, links to your HR system and the hireEZ integration. So the Business price is the real price if you need hired candidates sent to an HR system.

The plan price is not the total, because add-ons come on top. Three add-ons cover everyday hiring work. Text messaging costs from $41 a month for credits. Onboard, Breezy’s employee onboarding product, starts at $49 a month. AI Interview Analysis is a subscription that you can add to any paid plan. Its monthly interview allowance does not roll over, and extra interviews expire 30 days after purchase.

Three more add-ons are optional or limited. Perform, Breezy’s performance management product, is priced by employee count. For 10 to 49 employees it costs $83 or $99 a month. Expert Training is quoted at $99 per hour. The Custom Reporting add-on is for Pro plans only and is bought yearly through Breezy’s Customer Success team.

Plans renew for a term of the same length unless you cancel, so note the renewal date. Plans bill in advance. Payments are in US dollars unless agreed otherwise. Invoices fall due within 30 days. Unpaid amounts can carry interest of the lesser of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate allowed by law.

Leaving starts with an export, so plan it before you cancel. Candidate data exports to CSV, for one candidate or in bulk. You need admin access to export complete data at company level. The CV field in the file is a link to a PDF. Position data exports to CSV as well.

Deletion follows the export. On active paid plans, Breezy never deletes position or candidate data except at your request. If you cancel a paid account, Breezy deletes the data one year later. If you ask for immediate deletion at cancellation, a new subscription cannot recover it. Bootstrap data is deleted after a year of inactivity.

You could also run hiring steps with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map

Ten questions for the demo

These questions matter because the answers decide your real bill and your risk. Each comes with the answer you want to hear.

  1. Breezy publishes two prices for Startup, Growth and Business. Which one is the yearly price, and what is our total for the year with the add-ons we need? Good answer: One written figure for the whole year, with each add-on listed.
  2. Will you put a notice period before any suspension or end of service into our contract? Good answer: A written notice period, in the order form.
  3. Will you raise the liability cap above $20 or three months of fees? Good answer: A higher figure, written into the order form.
  4. Can we read your SOC 2 Type II report before we sign? Good answer: Yes, under an NDA, before signature.
  5. Where is our applicant data hosted, and does the reading of CVs into the profile leave that region? Good answer: The region we choose for hosting, and a plain answer on the USA supplier.
  6. Can we have the full Warden AI report for Applicant Insights? What do we publish if we hire in New York City? Good answer: The full report and the wording of a summary we can publish.
  7. How many credits will we use each month at our hiring volume? What happens to our hiring when they run out? Good answer: An estimate for each AI action, and a warning before the balance reaches zero.
  8. Who on our side can switch on automatic moving of applicants? Who can connect an AI assistant to our account? Good answer: Named admins only, with a record of each change.
  9. Which plan do we need for EEOC and OFCCP reporting and for the Dispositions feature? Good answer: A named plan, confirmed in writing.
  10. How do our candidates and their documents leave when the contract ends? On what date do you delete them? Good answer: A full export on request and a written deletion date.

Alternatives to Breezy HR

Recruitee, Workable, Manatal, JazzHR, Pinpoint and BambooHR each charge in a different way from Breezy HR. Price them against it.

Breezy’s own free Bootstrap plan keeps one active job opening or candidate pool at a time. If you hire for one role at a time, it may be enough.

Start with how each one charges. Breezy charges by plan, with unlimited users. Manatal charges per user. Its FAQ puts the Professional plan at $15 a month per user, billed yearly, with 15 jobs and 10,000 candidates. Its plan cards put the same plan at $19. Add recruiters and Manatal’s bill grows, while Breezy’s plan price stays the same. Ask Manatal which figure applies.

Recruitee also prices on unlimited users instead of seats. Its subscription depends on the plan, the number of employees and the billing period. Recruitee checks the number of employees before each contract year, so your bill can move with headcount. Paying yearly earns a 20% discount.

Workable and Breezy differ on AI credits. Workable’s Standard plan is $299 a month for 1 to 20 employees. Its AI credits come in bundles of 5,000, 10,000 and 50,000. They expire one year after purchase and are non-refundable. Breezy’s credits never expire, but Breezy gives no refund for unused credits when you cancel.

JazzHR sells by the year and by the number of jobs. Hero costs $1,000 a year billed yearly and starts at 3 job postings a month. Plus costs $3,480 and Pro costs $5,508. At either published figure, a year of Breezy Startup costs more than JazzHR Hero’s $1,000.

Pinpoint gives a price after a short call about your company and hiring process. Breezy publishes its prices, so you can compare before any call.

If you want hiring inside a wider HR system, look at BambooHR. It prices by employee, from $10.25 a month for companies with more than 25 employees. Companies with 25 employees or fewer pay a flat monthly rate from $250. Breezy can send hired candidates to BambooHR on the Business and Pro plans. The two can run side by side. Our comparison of every system sets out the full field.

Sources and method Everything here about Breezy HR comes from Breezy’s own website, help centre, terms, privacy notice and customer stories, from its owner LTG’s public pages, and from the Warden AI trust pages that audit its AI. What Breezy publishes about its own product is taken as a true description of that product. Laws are quoted from the official texts. Where two figures differ, both are given and the difference is put to the vendor as a question. Every source was read on 2 November 2026.
