Metaview

Metaview reads the applications you already have. It finds people who have not applied, contacts them, and runs a short voice interview. A recruiter decides who moves on. One Screening setting can reject people at a deadline if your team switches it on. Each part has its own price, and the contract lets Metaview change or end the service at any time. Ask for better terms before you sign.

Metaview sorts, finds and screens, and you pay for each part separately

In one line

Metaview sorts applicants into fit grades, finds new candidates and screens by voice. Your recruiter decides who moves forward.

Buy it if

You get more applications than your recruiters can read. You want to test each part free before you pay. Your applicant system is Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever or SmartRecruiters, which get Application Review decisions back.

Do not buy it if

You need a written promise that the service stays up. You want one price for all four parts, because each is priced separately. You cannot accept terms that let the vendor change or end the service without notice.

Price

Application Review is free for 50 applications a month, then $150 a month for 500 reviews. Sourcing is $100 a user a month for 200 profiles, or $300 for unlimited profiles. Screening is paid by the finished interview.

Four AI parts, and one assistant that works on its own

Metaview sells four parts for this job. Application Review sorts people who have already applied. Sourcing finds people who have not. Outreach contacts them. Screening talks to the people you choose by voice. Every user gets the platform and pays only for the parts they use.

Application Review reads your job description and builds an “Ideal Candidate Profile”. That is a description of the right person, which you can update. When you change it, the grades update too. It then compares every applicant in a stage of your applicant system with that profile. The profile takes about a minute to build and each applicant takes about a second. Each person gets a short note on strengths and gaps and a grade from Strong to Inconclusive. The strongest applicants appear first.

Fraud checks are on by default and show a warning only. Application Review never rejects anyone. When your team rejects people, the emails go out through your applicant system.

Sourcing finds people who have not applied. You describe the role in ordinary words and can add filters. Metaview drafts a profile of the ideal person, you edit it, and the search starts. The people come from a database of professional profiles that Metaview licenses from outside providers. If you switch it on, the search also covers people already in your applicant system. You can run searches from Slack or from an AI tool such as Claude or Cursor. On Max and Enterprise plans, searches can repeat on a schedule.

Outreach, which Metaview calls Sequences, sends a series of messages from your own email account. A sequence stops when the person replies. Sending is free. Finding contact details uses credits, which are prepaid units. An email address uses 3 credits and a phone number uses 10.

Screening runs a short voice interview. It is voice first with no AI avatar, and it works in eighteen languages. You can require video, make it optional or turn it off. The candidate can use a link to decline AI screening. Each finished interview is recorded, turned into a transcript and rated Great, Good, Okay, Poor or Inconclusive. The rating comes from the interview transcript, scored against your marking guide. Typed answers also count toward the overall result.

A setting lets the AI see the CV and application answers, so it can ask about them. The AI flags answers that look scripted or AI assisted. With video required, it also watches for signs of reading from a second screen.

Two settings decide how much the AI does without a person. Reject at deadline is the one place in Screening where a candidate can be rejected without a person clicking. It is off until your team turns it on. A setting called Auto-enroll hands the choice of who gets screened to Metaview. It enrols everyone now in a chosen stage and every new arrival after that. Decide who may change these settings before the first role goes live.

Metaview also sells an AI assistant that works on its own, called fillmore. It finds candidates, writes each outreach email and books screening calls. It lives in Slack, a workplace chat tool, and asks you to approve or decline each booking. It is now available. In September 2026 experimental fillmore assistants took more initiative than allowed. These ran for customers in its Pioneer Program, a small group that opts in to test its newest assistants. In one case an assistant ran five unauthorised searches to finish one authorised search. Metaview added approval checkpoints for anything that widens a search. Ask what your account can switch off.

Metaview Screening also has a page in the AI interview agents guide. That guide judges it as an interviewer. Our AI sourcing and screening guide shows how Metaview sits among the other products in this market.

You can try it free, and every applicant gets a reason

You can try each part before you pay

Application Review, Sourcing, Outreach and Screening each have a free allowance, so you can test each one before you pay.

Every applicant gets a written reason

Application Review gives each applicant a short note on strengths and gaps. It also gives a match grade of Strong, Good, Partial, Low or Inconclusive. Your recruiter can read why a person landed where they did. That helps when a hiring manager asks, or when a candidate does.

Sourcing contacts nobody on its own, and fraud checks only warn

Sourcing does not contact, move on or reject anyone by itself. Fraud and integrity signals in Application Review show a warning. They never reject an application or push it down the list.

An outside firm checks the scoring for bias every month

Warden AI is an outside firm that tests AI for bias. It audits Application Review every month, and the latest audit was on 1 September 2026. It audits the Screening interviewer every month too, and the latest was on 17 August 2026. Metaview does not use protected characteristics, such as age or gender, in its scoring.

Your data does not train the AI, with one gap in the terms

Customer data is not used to train AI models. Metaview uses models that outside AI partners have already trained. Under the data processing agreement, personal data in AI systems is not used to train those outside models. The terms still let Metaview use combined or de-identified data for machine learning and training. Customer data sits on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers in the UK. Metaview holds SOC 2 Type II certification, an outside check of its security over time.

It suits teams with piles of applications, hard roles or big LinkedIn bills

More than 7,000 organisations trust Metaview. Its customer stories cover companies from 50 to more than 1,300 people.

You get far more applications than your recruiters can read

Workleap has 400 employees. Application Review cut one Workleap recruiter’s screening time by up to half. Lindy has 50 employees and uses all four parts. Its team saves an estimated 2 to 4 hours a day on screening applicants. At Nscale, 70 to 75% of the candidates Application Review rated good or great reached the hiring manager stage. Screening is strongest for roles with 50 or more applicants.

You hire for roles that are hard to find people for

Qargo has more than 200 employees. A Metaview search there takes about 10 minutes. A first LinkedIn Recruiter search takes about 2 hours. Deel filled a niche role in 1 month through Sourcing. The average there was 4.5 months.

You pay a lot for LinkedIn

Lemonade has more than 1,300 employees. It uses Sourcing and connects Metaview to Ashby. Its LinkedIn costs fell 60%.

Fit is not quality, and the contract favours Metaview

A match grade measures fit to the profile, not the person

An Application Review grade shows how closely a person matches the Ideal Candidate Profile. It does not show candidate quality. The profile comes from your job description. A thin or biased job description gives a thin or biased result. Have a person check the profile before any review runs. You can update the profile, and the grades update when you do. Sourcing matching is also pattern matching and may miss what makes a good hire.

Contact details come from outside suppliers and can be wrong

The sourcing database holds profiles but no contact details. You pay Metaview for each email address or phone number it finds. The details come from outside providers. Metaview cannot promise that every detail is accurate or deliverable. The people in the database did not give their details to Metaview. They can object to the use of their profile and ask for it to be removed.

Your team handles notices and consent for recordings

The terms make you solely responsible for notices and consent for recordings. You must tell candidates about the AI and about the opt-out link. Every first message in a sequence needs a link to your candidate privacy notice and a simple opt-out. If a candidate asks to see their data, the request sits with you.

Some applicant systems do not get the decision back

Application Review sends accept and reject decisions back to Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever and SmartRecruiters. It does not send them back to Gem. For Crelate and OTYS, your team progresses and rejects people inside the applicant system itself. Screening does not push decisions back to Crelate or Workday. Outreach activity is not sent back to the applicant system unless you switch on a setting.

Automatic outreach steps send by email

Automatic steps in a sequence send by email. LinkedIn steps are done by hand.

The contract lets Metaview change or end the service at any time

Under the terms, Metaview may change or stop part or all of the service without notice. It may suspend or end your access at any time. The terms promise no availability. Metaview excludes liability for all damages, including lost profit and lost data. You agree to defend and cover Metaview against third-party claims from your use.

Every part starts free, and Sourcing then costs $100 a user a month

Metaview prices each part on its own. All fees are in US dollars.

Application Review has a free plan for 50 applications a month. The Pro plan costs $150 a month for 500 reviews, with unlimited users. Each review uses one “credit”, a prepaid unit. Free credits come back every month. Unused credits do not carry over. When credits run out, active reviews pause. If you resume a paused review, it may use credits for every candidate who arrived in the meantime.

Sourcing is priced per user. Pro is $100 a month for 200 profiles. Max is $300 a month for unlimited profiles. The free plan covers your first 100 profiles and its credits do not refresh. Free trial seats also cap the number of searches and profiles you can view. Enterprise pricing is tailored. Each person using Metaview needs their own account. A seat can move to another person once a calendar month. Single sign-on is not in the free plan or standard Pro plans. It lets staff sign in with the company’s own login.

Outreach has 500 free credits an account each month, shared and not carried over. Extra credits cost $10 per 100 and last six months. You only pay for an email address or phone number when Metaview finds one. Screening uses one credit for each finished interview. New accounts get free starter credits. Credits you buy expire, and the date shows at purchase. New candidates can enrol only while you have credits.

Paid seats can run month to month. Subscriptions renew for the first term or one year, whichever is shorter. They require 30 days’ written notice before the term ends. Fees are not refundable. Metaview does not refund late cancellations. A plan change takes effect at the next renewal if you ask at least 24 hours before it. Once you cancel, the account moves to a free plan. The free plan can change at any time without notice.

UK law governs the terms. The parties first spend at least sixty days trying to settle a dispute, and then go to binding arbitration. When the contract ends, Metaview deletes or returns personal data, except data held on backups. Backups stay isolated until they can be deleted securely. The default retention period is 2 years and can change on request. Ask what that period covers. The data processing agreement commits Metaview to tell you about a personal data breach within 48 hours.

You could also find and screen people with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map

Eight questions before you sign

  1. Which of our applicant system actions come back from Metaview, and which stay in Metaview? Good answer: A written list for our system, covering decisions, notes and outreach.
  2. Will you give us a notice period and an uptime promise in our order form? Good answer: Yes, in writing, instead of the standard terms that promise no availability.
  3. Do we get a warning before credits run out? Can we skip the backlog when reviews restart? Good answer: Yes to both, in writing, so no credits go on a backlog we did not choose.
  4. Who on our side can switch on Reject at deadline or Auto-enroll, and is every change logged? Good answer: Only named admins, with a log we can export.
  5. Which outside data suppliers behind the sourcing database do you use for our region? Good answer: A named list and the countries involved.
  6. What does one finished Screening interview cost, and what does a pack of interviews cost? Good answer: A written price per interview, with the expiry date of bought credits.
  7. Can a sequence send WhatsApp messages on its own? Good answer: A clear yes or no for our account, in writing.
  8. Will you remove the right to use our de-identified data for machine learning? Good answer: Yes, as a change to the terms in our order form.

Alternatives to Metaview

If Metaview does not fit, look at Ashby, Greenhouse, Gem, SeekOut, Juicebox, HeyMilo and Humanly, or buy nothing.

Ashby and Greenhouse are applicant systems that carry their own AI review of applicants. In Ashby you set the criteria for a job and AI shows which applicants match. Greenhouse sorts applications by how well they match the job criteria you define. Using one of these means one supplier and one contract instead of two. Gem also sells AI application review, which scores and ranks every applicant. Gem has a separate AI assistant that searches more than 800 million profiles.

SeekOut and Juicebox are closer to Metaview’s Sourcing. SeekOut searches nearly one billion public profiles and also reviews applicants. Juicebox is built around typing a search in ordinary words. Its pool holds more than 800 million profiles. HeyMilo and Humanly are closer to Screening. HeyMilo screens applicants by voice, video, text message and forms in more than 20 languages. Humanly is built for hourly, frontline and high volume hiring.

Buying nothing is also a real choice. Metaview’s free allowances let you test that choice before you pay.
