Pin finds people who have not applied, writes to them and books their interviews

Pin is an AI recruiting platform. You describe a role, and Pin searches 850M+ profiles for people who match. It scores each person, writes to them and books the interview. Paid plans start at $99 a month for one user on annual billing. A free plan lets any team try it.

Pin sources, scores, writes and books for a recruiter, from $99 a month

In one line

Pin finds people who have not applied and ranks them against your role. Its assistant writes the messages and books the interviews. If you run an applicant tracking system, Pin sits beside it.

Buy it if

You hire in the regions Pin searches. You want one tool for finding people, writing to them and booking calls. Your team uses Chrome and signs in with a Google or Microsoft work email.

Do not buy it if

You want the AI Agent to work through candidates already in a job. You hire mostly outside the regions Pin searches.

Price

Solo costs $99 a month per user on annual billing. Professional shows two prices, $135 and $179 a month per user. Business is priced by quote. Extra lookups cost $50 for 250.

What Pin does from the search to the booked interview

You describe a role and Pin searches 850M+ profiles from several data providers. You can also import a role from your applicant tracking system. Each match comes with a fit score and a written reason.

Pin’s AI assistant works in two modes. In Assist mode a person sends the outreach. In Autopilot mode the assistant sends it. A person first approves or declines about five candidates to teach the assistant what you want. The assistant then routes qualified people to a shortlist or to outreach.

Pin writes a personal note to each candidate from their profile. It follows up when a candidate goes quiet. A reply pauses the follow-up emails and lands in your inbox. Autopilot also answers candidate questions. Those answers start as drafts, and no setting switches the answering off. Messages go from your own email and calendar. Pin recommends no more than 300 emails a day from one address.

Pin connects to Greenhouse, Ashby and Lever, and to more than 120 systems in all. The Greenhouse link pushes sourced candidates, CVs and applications into your pipeline without adding the same person twice. Pin does not ask Greenhouse for the access it would need to reject candidates or move them between stages.

Autopilot talks to candidates in your name. Preview the outreach and start with a low daily limit. Decide who on your side owns these settings before the first message goes out.

Where Pin gives you control and safeguards

You can see why Pin picked each person

Every match comes with a fit score and a written reason. Pin keeps a log of what its assistant did and why. A person can stop outreach, sourcing or scheduling with one button.

A person can approve each email before it sends

Emails in a follow-up series can send from a queue where a person approves each one. Choosing “Add to Shortlist” sends nothing on its own.

If you run an applicant tracking system, Pin works beside it

Pin is built to work alongside an applicant tracking system. Most users start using Pin within a day.

Booking interviews comes with the paid plans

When a candidate replies with a time, Pin reads the reply, checks your calendar and books the slot. It works with Google Calendar, Outlook and Cal.com. Free Mode does not include automatic booking.

Where your data lives and who protects it

Amazon Web Services in the United States hosts all your data. Kombo, Unipile, Google, Anthropic and OpenRouter also handle it. Pin offers a data processing agreement and an option to keep data in the EU. Pin is SOC 2 Type II compliant. SOC 2 is an outside audit of how a company protects data.

Who Pin is sold to and the results it shows

Agencies, boutique firms and independent recruiters

Staffing agencies, boutique firms and independent recruiters use Pin. For agencies, Pin is sold as one platform. It takes the place of LinkedIn Recruiter, an outreach tool and an applicant tracking system. Cascadia Search Group’s founder says Pin contributed to over $1M in billings in a year.

In-house teams

Pin is also sold to in-house teams. Pin serves startups to enterprise organisations. Range’s CEO says Pin delivered two hires within two weeks.

Recruiters accept 83% of the candidates Pin recommends into pipelines. That means a recruiter keeps them for a role. Hiring managers approve 84% of the candidates Pin shortlists. Pin’s 2026 survey of more than 2,000 organisations using Pin found an average time to fill of 14 days. More than 2,000 recruiting teams use Pin. Love Thy Recruiting, Inc. makes Pin. Steven Lu founded it in 2024 and Expa backed it with $3M of seed funding.

Where Pin stops, from regions to LinkedIn

Searches cover only some regions

Candidate searches work only for candidates in a set list of regions. They include North, Central and South America. Pin launched in India in September 2026. Ask Pin whether your hiring countries are covered before you pay.

Pin builds profiles from public sources

Pin collects profiles, CVs and other details from publicly available sources. Pin shows an estimated salary for each person. The salary is an AI estimate, not verified pay data.

Filters include gender, ethnicity and veteran status

The search filters include gender, ethnicity, veteran status, graduation year and visa requirements. Pin’s AI never sees names, gender, photos or protected demographic details when it ranks people. Check with a lawyer which filters your hiring rules allow.

LinkedIn raised concerns in September 2026

On 12 September 2026 the CEO posted that LinkedIn raised concerns about Pin’s presence on LinkedIn. On 16 September the CEO posted that Pin’s company page and the CEO’s profile were off LinkedIn. The same post said Pin was working with LinkedIn to resolve it. Pin does not depend on LinkedIn.

Getting your data out is limited

You can export one job at a time as a spreadsheet file (CSV) or a PDF. Sourced candidates cannot be exported until you add them to outreach. Only candidate details sync to your applicant tracking system. Emails and LinkedIn messages do not.

The AI Agent works only on candidates it finds from now on

It does not go back through candidates already in the job.

What Pin costs and how you leave

Pin has four plans. Free has a hard cap on lookups, and you cannot buy more on it. Solo costs $99 a month for one user on annual billing and includes 500 lookups. Professional shows two prices, $135 and $179 a month per user, and includes 1,000 lookups per user each month. Paying yearly takes 25% off. Business is priced by quote. It includes unlimited seats, lookups and AI agents.

Pin charges a credit, also called a lookup, each time it finds an email address or phone number. A phone lookup costs 1 credit. Automatic phone searches in a follow-up series cost 2 credits for each number found. Credits are shared across the team and unused ones do not roll over. Extra credits come in packs of 250 for $50.

Connecting an applicant tracking system is an add-on on the paid plans. Premium integrations cost $100 a month. Free Mode has no phone lookups and no applicant tracking connection. A Free Mode user can review 50 candidates a week.

The online Terms of Service set a subscription period of one month, paid automatically. You must give 30 days’ notice before the period ends to stop it renewing. Pin can change its prices on 30 days’ notice. If you sign a separate cover page with Pin, it replaces the online terms while it runs. Pin’s liability is capped at the fees paid or payable in the 12 months before a claim.

When you cancel, Pin deletes your data after 30 days. You can restore it inside those 30 days.

You could also find and screen people with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map

Eight questions to put to Pin

  1. Which countries can we search today, including ours? Good answer: A written list of countries, with the date it was last updated.
  2. How many lookups and active jobs does the Free plan give? How long is the free trial, and what does it include? Which Professional price applies to us? Good answer: A written number of lookups and active jobs on the free plan. A stated trial length and the features it unlocks, in writing. The one Professional price we would pay.
  3. Where do Kombo, Unipile and the companies that find email addresses for you process our candidates’ data? Good answer: A named country for each company and a signed data processing agreement.
  4. Can we read the August 2026 Algorithmic Fairness Report before we buy? Good answer: The full report, the name of whoever ran it, and results by group.
  5. What can Autopilot send without a person reading it first? Good answer: A written list, and a setting that makes a person approve each message.
  6. Which features we would use rely on LinkedIn, and what changed after September 2026? Good answer: A named list of features and a dated confirmation of each.
  7. How do we take every candidate, message and note with us when we leave? Good answer: One export covering all jobs and outreach history, inside the 30 days before deletion.
  8. Does a yearly plan fix our price for the year, or do the monthly online terms still apply? Good answer: A written answer on the price and the term, in a signed order form.

Alternatives to Pin

If Pin comes off your shortlist, look at Juicebox, SeekOut, Gem, hireEZ and LinkedIn Recruiter, or buy nothing.

Juicebox is an AI recruiting platform built around PeopleGPT, a search engine where you type the request in ordinary words. It searches 800M+ profiles from 30+ sources and is built for recruiters. SeekOut searches nearly one billion public profiles. Its Core plan is designed for small businesses and solo recruiters. SeekOut also scores applicants against role requirements and returns a ranked shortlist.

Gem has an AI sourcing agent that searches 800M+ profiles. Its AI application review agent scores and ranks every applicant. Gem also sells its own applicant tracking system. hireEZ runs agents on top of an applicant tracking system. Its EZ Agent gives every candidate a screening conversation by voice or chat, and you decide who moves forward. LinkedIn Recruiter is the paid LinkedIn tool for searching its members. Its Hiring Assistant add-on is an AI agent inside Recruiter, and LinkedIn is rolling it out gradually.

If you are unsure, Pin’s Free Mode lets you try the search and scoring without paying first. Our guide to AI sourcing and screening covers the whole market.
