Oracle

Oracle Touchpoints is a weekly pulse built for managers to coach from, and it lives inside Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM. Managers see each person’s score by name, and every survey runs through Journeys. Oracle sells it per named user, with a 500-user minimum and a three-year standard term. Settle the AI data terms and the exit route in writing before you sign.

Touchpoints suits managers who coach from weekly scores they can see by name

In one line

Touchpoints is a weekly pulse tool where managers coach each report from named scores.

Buy it if

You run Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM and want managers to follow up on each weekly score.

Do not buy it if

You need answers that managers cannot link to a person. In Oracle’s survey journeys, there is no option to mark an answer as anonymous.

Price

USD 2.00 per month per Hosted Named User, minimum 500, on Oracle’s price list dated 8 October 2026. The standard subscription term is three years.

A weekly pulse, a named list for the manager and AI on check-ins and comments

Touchpoints is built around one idea. A short survey goes out often, and the manager follows up with each person. Oracle recommends a weekly pulse survey of 1 to 3 questions, with a 4-week analysis period. You can assign it to a line manager’s direct reports or to the whole hierarchy under a manager or leader. Employees get a worklist notification when a survey is assigned.

The manager gets a list of people, not a chart of groups. The Low pulse scores section ranks each direct and dotted-line report’s score, lowest first. Managers and matrix managers can open an employee’s past and current pulse scores. An employee sees their own current and past scores.

Nudges tell managers when to act. One nudge tells the manager to track an employee’s sentiment when the pulse score falls below a threshold. Another goes out when an employee does not respond to a survey a set number of times. Nudges appear on the Touchpoints page, on check-in pages and by email. Oracle’s feature overview places the threshold in the Schedule Allocation tab of the survey set-up. Oracle’s nudge page calls the threshold preconfigured in the survey, and the administrator cannot change it. Ask Oracle which one applies.

Oracle’s generative AI works at two points. In check-ins, it can suggest topics about an employee’s career development, at most three at a time. On survey answers, it labels each text answer positive, negative or neutral and writes a summary of each text question. An administrator decides whether each AI feature is on. Text answers are processed only for questions with sentiment analysis and summarisation turned on. Two site-level profile options must also be set to Y. Check-in topics are chosen in the check-in template.

Oracle’s AI answers and its brochure point in different directions. Information in the Fusion AI platform is not persisted or used to train models or generate responses for others. The model is a foundational model that is not further trained or fine tuned. Oracle’s Cloud HCM brochure lets customers choose to train the model in their organisation’s style and tone. Generative AI data has a retention period of 90 to 365 days, with 90 as the default. Model input and output are processed in a secure Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment. That environment might sit outside the local region. Ask Oracle which statement applies to your account.

What BDO USA uses Oracle Touchpoints for

BDO USA uses it for feedback

BDO USA is a business services firm in the United States. It uses Oracle Touchpoints to request and give feedback at any time. Oracle quotes a BDO USA People & Culture analyst on the result. It gave a consistent approach to capture feedback, with more timely feedback and more impactful performance reviews.

Grant Thornton is a US accounting and advisory firm that used Oracle Journeys. It ran surveys about vaccinations and managed accommodations and exemptions. That is not an engagement survey, so it tells little about Touchpoints.

Named scores, administrator set-up and small quick surveys limit Touchpoints

Five limits decide whether Touchpoints fits the way you run surveys, who sees answers and who does the set-up.

Managers see scores by name

Oracle’s survey journeys have no option to mark an answer as anonymous. The line manager and people assigned that area of responsibility can view responses. The person who answered cannot see them after submitting. Administrators choose which manager types see engagement analytics, and a line manager always has access. Administrators can hide the pulse score features, which show by default. Tell staff who sees their answers before the first survey.

Every survey runs through Journeys

Touchpoints surveys are distributed only through Journeys, which must be enabled. Someone has to schedule the process that assigns them, because it comes with no schedules. A survey journey can be targeted only by Legal Employer and Business Unit. A survey cannot be assigned in bulk with HCM Data Loader, Oracle’s bulk upload tool.

Quick surveys suit small groups once

A manager’s quick survey holds at most 10 questions. Quick surveys are for a limited set of workers, not a large population. They do not recur and they have an end date. Surveys made with Create Survey are personal to that manager.

Results come through Oracle’s own screens

Touchpoints survey results are viewed on the Touchpoints dashboard. For general survey journeys, the customer builds its own report in BI or OTBI, Oracle’s reporting tools. A pulse score appears only if the questionnaire and each question are scored.

AI risks

Oracle warns that generative AI can carry risks including misinformation, privacy concerns, bias and unintended side effects. Generated content can be scrutinised and used as-is, edited or ignored. Weigh that before AI summaries reach managers.

USD 2.00 a month per named user, 500 users minimum, three-year standard term

The figure on the price list is only part of the commitment, so the terms matter as much. Oracle’s Fusion Cloud global price list is dated 8 October 2026. Oracle prices Oracle Fusion Touchpoints Cloud Service at USD 2.00 per month per Hosted Named User. The minimum is 500 users. At that minimum, the list price comes to USD 1,000 a month. Over the standard three-year term, that is USD 36,000 at list price.

A Hosted Named User is anyone the customer authorises to use the hosted service. That counts whether or not the person is using it at the time.

Oracle sets a standard subscription term of three years. Fusion Suite pricing requires contract terms of 36 months or more. Oracle sells Touchpoints and HR Celebrate, its recognition and rewards product, as a single SKU, or product code. Fusion Suite components cannot be purchased a la carte, and additional base licences must be bought. Ask Oracle whether Touchpoints counts as a Fusion Suite component. Oracle’s price list is subject to change without notice.

Get the exit route in writing, because of how Oracle holds survey data. Survey results are not purged from the application when the journey is purged. Responses to Touchpoints survey questions are not archived and stay in the database for reporting. Survey journey responses are reported with OTBI and BI Publisher, Oracle’s reporting tools. Quick survey responses cannot be downloaded. Ask Oracle for an exit term in writing.

Eight questions to put to Oracle

  1. Who sees each person’s pulse score, and can we limit it to HR? Good answer: A named list of roles, set the way we choose.
  2. Who sets the low-score threshold for nudges, and where? Good answer: One written answer that matches what a test survey displays.
  3. Can we buy Touchpoints on its own, or only with other Oracle HCM products? Good answer: A written answer, with the number of users on the order.
  4. Can we start below 500 users or on a term shorter than three years? Good answer: The minimum and the term written on our own order form.
  5. AI information is not used to train models, yet a brochure lets customers train one. Which applies? Good answer: A written answer that covers each model and who can train it.
  6. Where is generative AI input and output processed, and how long is it kept? Good answer: A named region and a retention period we choose between 90 and 365 days.
  7. How do we get survey results out when the contract ends? Good answer: A named report or file route for each survey type, tested before we sign.
  8. How will staff without a desk or work login receive a survey? Good answer: A named route that carries the survey itself, not only messages.

Alternatives to Oracle, including buying nothing

Cooleaf and WorkTango each answer one point where Touchpoints stops. Buying nothing is a third route.

Cooleaf answers the question of who sees individual answers. In Touchpoints, managers see individual pulse scores for each report. Under Cooleaf’s help centre, survey responses are anonymous and no admin level can see one individual’s exact responses. Cooleaf’s performance surveys are different. They are non-anonymous, and responses are tied to individual employees. Ask Cooleaf which survey type your questions would use.

WorkTango answers the question of the first commitment. Oracle’s standard subscription term is three years, with a 500-user minimum. WorkTango’s minimum contract length is 12 months. Its annual cost depends on employee count. Ask WorkTango for the figure for your headcount in writing.

Buying nothing avoids the 500-user minimum and the three-year standard term. It also gives up the named low-score list and the AI check-in topics. It gives up HR Celebrate too, which Oracle sells in the same SKU. Our guide to employee engagement software covers the wider market.
