Oracle Employee Concierge

Oracle Employee Concierge is for companies that already run Oracle Fusion Applications. Employees ask a question about leave, pay, benefits or compensation. The Concierge sends it to the right helper. Oracle says the assistants cost nothing extra. Predefined roles can count towards your subscription use.

Oracle says it costs nothing extra, but ask about predefined roles

In one line

Oracle Employee Concierge is a chat that reads an employee’s HR question and passes it to a helper for leave, pay, benefits or compensation.

Buy it if

Your HR data already sits in Oracle Fusion Applications. You want employees to ask one chat about pay, leave and benefits and get answers in line with your own policies.

Do not buy it if

Your HR data sits outside Oracle Fusion Applications. You also should not buy it if you need the cost settled before you start. Oracle says the assistants cost nothing extra, but predefined roles might count towards your subscription use.

Price

Oracle says its AI assistants are built into Oracle Fusion Applications at no additional cost. Predefined roles might count towards subscription use. Ask Oracle for the list.

It reads each question and sends it to the right helper

An employee opens a chat panel called Ask Oracle and types a question. The Employee Concierge decides who should answer. It sends each question about pay, benefits, leave or compensation to the helper that fits. It also answers some questions itself, using the tools and resources it has. Its answers follow your organisation’s policies.

Four helpers sit behind it. Here is what each one does for an employee.

The four Oracle helpers behind the Concierge
Helper What it tells the employee What happens next
Leave and Absence Analyst Shows leave balances such as PTO, vacation and sick leave. Answers questions about past and upcoming absences, donations, cash payouts and eligibility for programmes like Family or Disability Leave. Takes the employee to an Oracle page to submit a time off request, bid for holidays, donate leave or ask for a payout.
Compensation Advisor Gives employees insight into their salary, bonuses and stock grants. Gives the answer. Ask Oracle in a demo what else it can do with pay.
Benefits Analyst Shows current benefit enrolments, the benefit providers and policy numbers. Gives the details. Ask Oracle which benefit changes an employee can make through it.
Pay Analyst Finds and filters payslip history. Breaks down earnings and deductions. Gives the breakdown. Ask Oracle whether it can also raise a payslip query.

Two assistants go further than answering. The Marital Status Update Assistant lets an employee view and update their marital status. It gives guidance for their role and completes valid changes. The Personal Contribution Assistant lets an employee enrol in new personal contributions and review current and future ones. It submits updates in line with plan rules and your policies.

Employees reach it in the Ask Oracle panel. Your administrator can create connectors for Microsoft Teams and Slack in a tool called AI Agent Studio. Customers and partners can extend the AI to give employees more help.

Its AI assistants run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications support several AI language models, from providers such as Cohere, Meta and OpenAI. They power features like writing content, summarising and answering questions.

Salary and personal data can wait for an approval. Oracle has an approval step it calls a Human-in-the-Loop flag. When it is on, the employee must approve before the assistant fetches sensitive data such as salary or personal information. Find out who on your side controls that setting and whether it starts on or off.

Our guide to AI HR assistants shows how this fits with the rest of the market.

Answers follow your policies, in your employees’ language

One chat for pay, benefits, leave and compensation

The employee does not need to know which team owns the question. The Concierge reads it and passes it to the helper that fits. Every question goes to the place that can answer it.

Answers follow your own policies

The Concierge answers in line with your organisation’s policies. The employee gets your rule, not a general one.

Employees can get answers in their own language

Oracle has an option called “Answer in user’s language”. Your administrator switches it on.

A person can approve before sensitive data appears

A setting makes the employee approve explicitly before the assistant fetches sensitive data. Salary and personal details are the examples.

It lives inside Oracle Fusion and carries Oracle’s name

Predefined roles might count towards your subscription use

Oracle says its AI assistants come built into Oracle Fusion Applications at no additional cost. Using predefined roles might count towards your subscription use, whether or not you bought the cloud service. Ask Oracle for the list of roles in writing.

It is built into Oracle Fusion Applications

Oracle sells the assistants as part of Oracle Fusion Applications. If your HR data sits somewhere else, ask Oracle what you would need to buy before the Concierge can answer anything.

Employees leave the chat to finish a leave request

For leave, the assistant takes the employee to an Oracle page to act. That is where the request is submitted. Ask Oracle which other requests finish in the chat and which finish on a page.

The chat carries Oracle’s name

The chat panel is called Ask Oracle. You cannot rename it in the live chat window or in the AI Agent Studio preview. Your employees will see Oracle’s name, not yours.

Oracle is a listed company

Oracle Corporation is listed on the New York Stock Exchange as ORCL. A large, long-established public supplier tends to sell on fixed, standard paper, so expect little room to change the contract.

The price is “no additional cost” until a role counts against you

Oracle gives no dollar figure here. It says its AI assistants are prebuilt with advanced security and natively integrated within Oracle Fusion Applications at no additional cost. It said this when it announced the Concierge on 16 September 2025. It said it again in October 2025.

Using predefined roles might count towards your subscription use, whether or not you bought the cloud service. Ask Oracle for the list of roles in writing before you count on zero cost.

Oracle sells through two main agreements. They are the Cloud Services Agreement and the Oracle Master Agreement. Your contract has three parts. One agreement covers the whole relationship. An ordering document holds the details of your deal. The service policies sit beside both.

Oracle’s Cloud Hosting and Delivery Policies, dated 14 June 2019, cover leaving. When the cloud services end, you get 60 days to pull your content back. It comes out over a secure connection, in a format a machine can read. After that it deletes your content from its cloud environments, unless the law says otherwise. Check that your own order uses the same terms.

You could also build the same steps on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map

Eight questions to ask Oracle before you switch it on

  1. Which roles count towards our subscription use when we switch the assistants on? Good answer: A written list of roles, and what each one adds to the bill.
  2. What do we need to own today before the Employee Concierge works for us? Good answer: A named list of Oracle products, with a price for each one.
  3. Which requests finish inside the chat, and which send the employee to an Oracle page? Good answer: A list by request type, checked in a live demo with our own policies.
  4. Is the approval step for salary and personal data switched on from day one? Who can switch it off? Good answer: On by default, with a named administrator and a record of every change.
  5. Does Oracle or an outside AI provider keep or learn from our employees’ questions? Good answer: A clear no, written into the order, with the same promise for each provider Oracle uses.
  6. Who on the Oracle side or our side can read employee conversations? Good answer: A named list of roles and a log of who opened what.
  7. Which Cloud Services Agreement or Oracle Master Agreement would we sign, and which service policies come with it? Good answer: The actual documents before the demo ends, with the current hosting policy attached.
  8. When we leave, how do we get our content back, and how long do we have? Good answer: A file format and a time window written into the order.

Alternatives to Oracle Employee Concierge

If Oracle Employee Concierge leaves your shortlist, look at Workday Self-Service Agent, SAP Joule, UKG Bryte AI and Applaud. Buying nothing is a fifth option.

Workday Self-Service Agent handles time off, expenses and profile updates for Workday customers. Employees chat with it in Slack, Microsoft Teams, M365 Copilot, Gemini or Workday. Workday charges in Flex Credits, its own units. It uses 1 Flex Credit for each answer and 5 for each completed task.

SAP Joule works inside SAP SuccessFactors. SAP says Joule Base is included in standard cloud subscriptions at no additional cost. Joule Premium is priced by usage in units SAP calls AI-units, billed monthly.

UKG Bryte AI lets employees request and cancel time off, check balances, and see pay statements. It suits UKG customers.

Applaud connects to Oracle Cloud HCM, PeopleSoft and E-Business Suite. Look at it if your people data sits in Oracle but you want an assistant from a different company.

Buying nothing means employees keep emailing HR for payslips and leave balances. Our comparison of all eighteen assistants shows how they differ.
