Oracle Recruiting candidate recommendations

Oracle Recruiting suggests candidates for each open role and rates each one with stars. It is an option added to Fusion HCM, Oracle’s core HR system. Oracle publishes its list prices.

Oracle Recruiting suggests candidates, and a person chooses

In one line

Oracle Recruiting compares the profiles it holds with each open role. It shows your hiring team who to review first. A recruiter or hiring manager makes the choice.

Buy it if

You run Oracle Fusion HCM, or plan to. Your roles are written in English. You have six months of hiring data in Oracle, or can move six months of it across. You accept Oracle’s standard contract term of three years.

Do not buy it if

You hire mainly in other languages. Your account sits on a EUR pod or a government pod. Ask Oracle which one your account uses. You have far fewer than 500 people. Oracle charges for at least 500 on each price line.

Price

$23.00 a month for each counted person, base plus Recruiting, with at least 500 counted. These are list prices on 10 Sep 2026.

How Oracle picks candidates for your hiring team

Oracle Recruiting covers finding candidates, screening, open roles, offers and onboarding. Suggested Candidates compares candidate profiles with the details of an open role. Many jobs draw hundreds of applications, and reading them takes time. The feature reads the context of a word, so terms do not have to match exactly.

Each suggestion gets four ratings for profile, education, experience and skills. A rating shows zero to three stars of relative match. The list starts with the strongest profile match, and filters narrow it. Dismissing a suggestion removes it from that recruiter’s list only. The stars do not replace a closer review.

Similar Candidates starts from one profile and finds up to 30 similar people. A hiring manager can also see people who closely match the employee who left a role.

People who applied can be sorted by AI ratings. A summary is written automatically for each new application. A recruiter can type a search in ordinary words, and confirm the filters it creates.

For people who have not applied, Oracle has AI assistants. One turns an open role into a search. Another saves the matches to a list and starts looking on a schedule your team sets. A third drafts a series of messages once it finds 1,000 or more matches. A person must switch the series on. A recruiter can schedule a follow-up email from the next day up to a week later. It is not sent if the person replies.

What works in your favour

Every suggestion shows its reasons

The four ratings show why a person was suggested. The AI summary of each application opens with an overall fit assessment. When the role and the candidate both list skills, the summary marks matches and gaps.

Your team can change the weights

An administrator can switch on a job application rating. It shows bars for education, experience, skills and profile. The default weights for education, skill and experience can be changed. The three weights share a fixed total, so raising one lowers another.

Switched on with Recruiting

The matching features switch on by themselves. They need no separate Oracle AI activation steps. Suggested Candidates receives no copy of a CV and no personal data. Oracle Recruiting sends it only some candidate fields.

LinkedIn tools carry no extra Oracle charge

Recommended Matches uses AI to highlight LinkedIn members whose experience and skills fit your open roles. The LinkedIn integrations come to Oracle Cloud HCM customers at no additional cost.

Who it suits, and what Oracle’s customers report

You run Oracle Fusion HCM, or plan to

Recruiting and Recruiting Booster are options added to Fusion HCM. Suggestions sit inside the same system your hiring team works in. Recruiters also use candidate search to find people for current or planned roles.

Equity Residential, 2,500 or more employees

Oracle’s AI helped Equity Residential speed up candidate review. Recruiters could quickly find similar candidates for a job opening. Ask Oracle to show you that search on your own data.

Wood, 36,000 employees

Wood cut time to hire in its trade and craft workforce by 53%, from 45 days to 21. That came after Wood put in Oracle Fusion HCM as a whole, so it does not isolate candidate recommendations. At Wood, AI sped up hiring. It scans CVs, matches candidates to roles on skills and drafts candidate messages.

Where the recommendations stop

English, and not on a EUR or government pod

Suggested Candidates needs English as the language your account runs in. It also needs an account outside a EUR pod or a government pod. A pod is the Oracle cloud set-up that hosts your account. The Suggested sort does not appear when a role includes non-English languages.

It needs history and complete records

Good suggestions need six months of hiring data in the system, or six months of migrated data. The feature works best for roles that need skilled labour. AI results are a machine’s best reading of the data. Missing details in a profile or a role give less relevant suggestions.

Suggestions arrive hours after the data moves

Oracle exports anonymous role and candidate data to its AI cloud service. Recommendations appear 8 to 12 hours later. Oracle recommends running the update that sends data across every hour. A role posted at 9am may not show suggestions until the evening.

Some settings act on candidates with no one checking

The AI suggestions leave the final choice to a recruiter or hiring manager. Other settings work differently. Answers to disqualification questions decide whether candidates move forward or are disqualified automatically. Interview invitations can go out automatically when an application reaches a set point. Decide who on your team switches these on and checks them.

Summaries put concerns near the top

The AI summary of each application puts concerns such as employment gaps and education mismatches near the top.

Decide who sees the diversity section

An application can include a diversity section. It can show date of birth, ethnicity, gender, marital status and religion. A team that screens without names can mask data in the application list. Decide who sees that section.

You answer data requests

You are the controller of the personal information Oracle handles for the service. The controller is the organisation that decides how data is used. The people who use the system for you send their data requests to you. External candidates can delete their own profile on their own.

What it costs, and the three-year term

Oracle prices by Hosted Employee, not by the number of people who log in. That means every full-time, part-time and temporary employee. It also means agents, contractors and consultants. They count when they have access to the software, use it or are tracked by it.

Recruiting is an option added to the Fusion HCM base, which costs $15.00 a month per Hosted Employee. Recruiting adds $8.00 and Recruiting Booster adds $3.00. Every line has a minimum of 500. At 500, the base plus Recruiting is $23.00 each, or $11,500 a month. With Booster it is $26.00 each, or $13,000 a month. These are list prices.

The price list has separate lines for AI assistants, called AI Agents Cloud Service. Oracle prices them apart from the Recruiting lines.

Oracle’s standard term for cloud subscriptions is three years. When the term ends, Oracle makes your content available to retrieve for 60 days.

You could also find and screen people with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map

Nine questions to put to Oracle

  1. Which price line covers Suggested Candidates and the job application ratings, Recruiting or Recruiting Booster? Good answer: A named line on the order form, with its price.
  2. How many people will you count for us, and how do you count contractors and temporary staff? Good answer: A written count and the counting rule, in the order form.
  3. Is our account on a EUR pod or a government pod, and does that switch off Suggested Candidates? Good answer: A yes or no for our account, in writing.
  4. What do recruiters see on a role written in a language other than English? Good answer: A named list of languages and what shows for each one.
  5. Which Oracle AI assistants come with our subscription, and which sit on the separate AI Agents price lines? Good answer: A list of assistants, each marked included or priced.
  6. Do you have a bias audit for these ratings, and can we keep a copy? Good answer: A report from an outside auditor with figures by group, ready to publish where a law asks for it.
  7. Does Recommended Matches need a separate LinkedIn licence, and who pays for it? Good answer: A written answer naming the LinkedIn licence we need and the cost.
  8. The summary puts concerns such as employment gaps near the top. How are they weighted, and can we switch them off? Good answer: A written description of the weighting and a setting we control.
  9. When the contract ends, how do we get our candidate data and suggestion history out? Good answer: A named file format and more time than the 60 days in your hosting policy.

Alternatives to Oracle Recruiting

The alternatives are Workday Recruiting, iCIMS and SmartRecruiters, or buying nothing.

Workday’s AI recruiting agent finds past applicants and people on your contact list, including before a role is posted. Workday also compares applicants to the role and gives the reason behind each grade. The iCIMS sourcing agent reads open roles and suggests candidates ranked by skills, requirements and relevance. It includes past finalists who were not hired and profiles that have gone quiet. iCIMS announced it as available on 1 September 2026.

The SmartRecruiters Professional plan includes AI talent matching. SmartRecruiters prices that plan on request, while Oracle’s list price is public.

Buying nothing means people search and sort applications by hand. Our guide to AI sourcing and screening covers what the rest of the market offers.
