Cloud Assess is training that ends with an assessor signing the worker off

Cloud Assess trains workers and then records proof that they can do the job. A worker completes the training. An assessor reviews their evidence and signs them off. Support runs Monday to Friday during business hours. Pricing is a flat fee based on the number of employees trained.

In one line

A platform where workers train and an assessor signs each one off, with the evidence kept on record.

Buy it if

Your workers must prove they can do a task. Sign-off needs a photo, a video or a location stamp. Some workers have no signal. Certificates expire, and you want workers tested again before they lapse.

Do not buy it if

You want a price before a sales call.

Price

A flat fee based on the number of employees trained. Employer pricing sits behind a Request Pricing button. The RTO edition for training providers starts from $600 a month, with no currency given.

It trains workers, then an assessor signs each one off

In the vendor’s view, older learning platforms are built to deliver e-learning. Cloud Assess is built to prove competency instead. Workers train and get assessed online, offline or in person.

A worker opens a to-do list. It holds the assessments they owe and how many forms and units are left, with any due dates set. The competency workflow collects photo, video and location-stamped evidence. The assessor signs it off.

Every submission, signature and assessor decision gets a timestamp. All of it stays stored and searchable. An assessment can carry a limit on attempts. New attempts can be granted automatically, and every retry is recorded.

Managers get role-based dashboards of team completions, outstanding assessments and expiring credentials. They can be limited by org structure, job role or direct reports. A skills matrix tracks each worker’s status for each skill. Completing linked training awards the skill. Cloud Assess also imports SCORM files, the standard format for e-learning courses. See where it sits in the learning management systems guide.

The assessor keeps the final say, and credentials do not lapse unnoticed

The assessor makes every final marking decision

The AI Marking Assistant reads each learner response against your criteria. It recommends an outcome and gives its reasoning. The assessor reviews, adjusts and awards the result. The assistant never grades on its own. It runs on an activity when that activity has it turned on.

Identifiable evidence does not train AI

Photos, videos and audio of workers are sensitive. Platform features may use responses and uploaded evidence. They may suggest an outcome, highlight evidence or flag items for an assessor. Cloud Assess does not use identifiable evidence to train AI or machine-learning models. That covers submissions, photos, audio and video. It uses no facial recognition or other biometric matching. The customer makes the final decisions. Those cover competency, qualifications, credentials or employment.

Assessments start from documents you already hold

Upload a Word file, PDF or text document and the product builds a structured assessment. You can also describe what you want in plain English. The questions come back as multiple choice. One instruction refines a single question. Assessors review and approve AI material before it is published.

Expiring certificates get flagged early

Any certificate or credential can expire. Cloud Assess tracks if a credential is still in date, not only if training was completed. An expired credential counts as a live gap. Alerts flag skills near expiry. They escalate from worker to manager to HR. Automated workflows can trigger reassessment and reissue when a credential nears expiry.

Workers can finish assessments with no signal, once offline is set up

Learners check out assessments, complete them without internet access and sync when back in range. They must check out each assessment while online before they go offline. Offline use is available if it is set up for the organisation. The product runs on personal, shared and kiosk devices. Ask which of your assessments workers can check out in advance. Test one on a real device before you sign.

It suits teams that sign workers off, feed an HR system and want the vendor to set it up

If your work needs frontline competency checks

Queensland Rail, Macmahon, Veolia and Lion run frontline competency on Cloud Assess. It reports over 1 million learners and 20 million assessments completed. You may need to prove a sign-off fast. 13Cabs reports that reaching crucial records is 99.98% faster. The wait fell from a week to 2 minutes.

If you run an HR, rostering or safety system

Competency and expiry records sync both ways with HR, rostering, safety and compliance platforms. It can integrate with Humanforce, Employment Hero, SAP SuccessFactors, Cornerstone on Demand and Workday. The SuccessFactors link syncs employee profiles, skills data, training records, assessment outcomes and performance metrics. It is a paid add-on. Staff can sign in with the company’s existing login, such as Azure Active Directory, Okta or Google Workspace.

If contractors need the same sign-off as staff

Cloud Assess brings contractors and casual workers into the same compliance rules as the core team. Support for employees, contractors and casual workers is included for onboarding and inductions.

If you have no team free to set it up

Most organisations are up and running within two to four weeks. The vendor’s team handles data migration, content setup, content digitisation and user training. Onboarding has four phases. It can take as little as one day for simple set-ups. The vendor also converts your training content into digital courses and quotes a price on request. Ask whether that is part of set-up.

Support keeps office hours, data sits in several countries and the skills features are new

Support keeps office hours

Its Australian and UK based support team is available Monday to Friday during business hours. If your teams work nights or weekends, ask what support covers them. Ask whether a custom enterprise package for large or complex organisations covers your hours.

Its own pages give different data locations

Hosting is ISO 27001 certified. Its Core page puts all data in Australia and the United Kingdom, on Amazon Web Services. Its privacy policy puts core platform data in Australia. The policy adds that limited personal information may go to service providers outside Australia, including in the US. That covers email, customer support and communications. Its UK and EEA notice gives four countries for infrastructure and providers. They are Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the US. Ask which country holds your workers’ records, and name it in the contract.

The skills features are the newest part

Cloud Assess launched its AI in 2025 and Workforce Skills in 2026. The skills matrix includes AI gap analysis, which identifies gaps and triggers re-training before credentials lapse. Ask for a customer who uses the skills matrix today, and speak to them before you sign.

You have 30 days to ask for your records

When a subscription ends, the customer may request its records within 30 days. After that, Cloud Assess generally deletes or de-identifies the account’s personal information. Backups and legally required records can remain. Data can be exported in PDF, CSV or Excel format. Export what you need before the contract ends.

A flat fee by employees trained, with two connections sold as extras

Cloud Assess charges a flat fee based on the number of employees trained. Employer pricing sits behind a Request Pricing button. Large or complex organisations can ask for a custom enterprise package. It adds dedicated support, SLAs and bespoke integrations. An SLA is a written promise on how the service performs.

The RTO edition is for training providers. It starts from $600 a month, a flat fee based on learners or students trained. No currency is given. That edition bundles a learning system with a student management system.

Its pricing page puts every feature in the flat fee. It includes native integrations with SAP, Oracle, Workday and more. Its SuccessFactors page calls that connection a paid add-on, priced by contacting sales. Its ELMO page calls the ELMO connection a paid add-on too, priced by contacting sales. All AI tools are built in with no add-ons required. Ask for a written list of everything outside the flat fee.

Cloud Assess sells paid premium courses through an enquiry form with no price on it. The courses are ready-made, and you can assign and bulk enrol them. Content digitisation is quoted on request. A free course and resource library is part of the included features.

You could also run training steps with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map

What to ask before you sign

  1. What will we pay each year, in which currency, and how do you count employees trained? Good answer: One written figure in one currency, and a clear rule for who counts.
  2. Which connections cost extra? Good answer: A written list with a price for each, SuccessFactors and ELMO included.
  3. Which country holds our records, and which outside providers see personal data? Good answer: One named country in the contract, and a list of providers.
  4. Is offline use set up on our account, and which assessments must we check out first? Good answer: Yes, and shown working on one of our own devices.
  5. Which support hours and response times apply to us, and will you put a service promise in writing? Good answer: Hours that cover the times our people work, and a written SLA.
  6. Which customer uses the skills matrix and AI gap analysis today? Good answer: A named customer we can call.
  7. How do we get our records out when the contract ends? Good answer: A full export in CSV or Excel, and a written deletion date.
  8. How do workers without a work account sign in? Good answer: A method that works for every worker, shown in a trial.
  9. Is converting our existing courses part of set-up, or quoted separately? Good answer: A written answer, with a price if it is separate.

Alternatives to Cloud Assess, including buying nothing

If Cloud Assess does not fit, look at Schoox and Absorb. Buying nothing is a third route.

Cloud Assess launched Workforce Skills in 2026. Schoox AI maps roles to skills and finds proficiency gaps through micro-assessments. Schoox also connects goals and skills to performance reviews. Performance Reviews is not enabled in every Schoox academy, which is a customer’s own site. The customer asks support to turn it on. Look at Schoox if you want skills tied to performance reviews. Ask both vendors for a customer using that today.

Offline is a trade-off. On Schoox, offline download covers lectures only, not exams, polls, on-the-job training or events. On Cloud Assess, a worker can check out an assessment and finish it with no signal. That works once offline is set up for your organisation.

Absorb observation checklists record on-the-job reviews by a peer, supervisor, manager or third party. Look at Absorb if peers, supervisors or third parties will review the work. Ask Cloud Assess who can act as an assessor.

Buying nothing is a real choice. If your assessors already sign workers off in a record system you trust, ask what Cloud Assess would add. The extra would be evidence capture, expiry alerts and AI marking.
