HeyMilo

HeyMilo is an AI recruiter for high-volume hiring. It interviews candidates by phone, video, text or a web form. HeyMilo publishes no price. You pay a monthly plan plus interviews you buy up front. Someone on your team can switch on rules that act on a score you set. HeyMilo can then move a candidate forward in six systems. It can also reject them in Workday, Bullhorn and Avionté.

HeyMilo screens at volume, and can act alone in six systems

In one line

HeyMilo is an AI recruiter for high-volume phone and video screening. Once your team turns this on, it can move a candidate forward alone in six systems. It can also reject one alone in Workday, Bullhorn and Avionté.

Buy it if

Your recruiters get more applications than they can screen by phone. HeyMilo is built for that volume. It sends a score, a transcript and the reasoning into most tracking systems.

Do not buy it if

You want a price you can confirm before you call anyone. You want an uptime promise written into the contract. Or your lawyers will not accept a contract that caps what you can recover at six months of fees. That contract also asks you to defend HeyMilo, not just yourself.

Price

HeyMilo does not publish a price for the interviews. You buy a monthly plan and a batch of interviews, résumé screens and texts up front. You use the batch as you go. The figure only shows once your account is open.

A typical interview runs 10 to 15 minutes, and every answer is scored

HeyMilo reaches a candidate by phone, browser voice, on-camera video, text message or a web form. It holds a real conversation and follows up on what the candidate says, rather than reading out a fixed script. A typical screening interview runs 10 to 15 minutes, by HeyMilo’s own guide for recruiters. It runs longer when the AI has more to ask.

Your recruiting team decides what the interview tests. That includes the eligibility rules, the skills it checks and how much weight each one gets. If a job description sits in your tracking system, HeyMilo can read it and draft an interview from it. Your team edits that draft before it goes live. Every finished interview produces a recording and a full transcript. It also gives a score for each question, with the reasoning behind it. The candidate’s own words are quoted and time-stamped. All of this lands on the candidate’s file the moment the interview ends. Nobody has to type any of it in.

Your own team can build rules that watch the score and act on it, with nobody opening the file first. In Workday, a score you set decides whether a candidate moves on or gets archived. Archiving takes them out of the running. In Bullhorn and Avionté, a separate settings tool does the same job. HeyMilo describes it as “Auto-advance top scorers to the next stage. Auto-route low scorers to a rejected pipeline.” In iCIMS, SAP SuccessFactors and SmartRecruiters, a score can only move a candidate to the next stage. It cannot reject or archive them in those three systems. Your team can also mark a structured question as a dealbreaker. A wrong answer on that question disqualifies a candidate automatically. HeyMilo’s UKG Pro connection works differently. It sends notes and a report, not a score, and a recruiter decides whether to move anyone forward.

HeyMilo’s responsible-AI page and its setup guides describe two different things. The responsible-AI page says every score is subject to human review, and that recruiters make the final call. The setup guides for all six systems describe something else. In Workday, Bullhorn and Avionté, a score can move or archive a candidate with nobody looking first. In iCIMS, SAP SuccessFactors and SmartRecruiters, a score can move them forward the same way. Your settings decide which one applies. Request to see those settings on the demo.

What HeyMilo reads, and where it sends results, depends on which system you connect. HeyMilo names nine main tracking systems today. They are Workday, Greenhouse, Salesforce, iCIMS, SAP SuccessFactors, Bullhorn, Ashby, SmartRecruiters and Avionté. Its integrations page lists more than twenty tracking systems in total, among them Teamtailor, Lever, JobDiva, Workable and Zoho Recruit.

HeyMilo also checks for cheating. It compares a candidate’s voice across interviews, to catch a different person answering later on. On video, it watches for eyes leaving the screen, or a second voice in the room. It also flags an answer that looks generated in real time by a chatbot. HeyMilo combines these checks into one “trust score” that goes into every review. On camera, it also scores a candidate’s presence and delivery, including how confident their eye contact looks. Judging a candidate’s mood from their tone or expression has been banned in the EU since 2 February 2025. If you hire in Europe, get HeyMilo’s written view on this scoring before you turn on a camera interview. A separate product, HeyMilo Red, scans a finished recording for a deepfake, a scripted answer or a swapped identity.

Our AI interview agent guide names the other tools with this same setting.

Results arrive ready to read, with a monthly bias audit and logged consent

The score and transcript land in your tracking system

Once an interview ends, a hiring manager can read the candidate’s file without waiting for a recruiter’s notes. The reasoning is plain, and the report is ready to share.

A bias audit is published every month

HeyMilo pays an outside firm, Warden AI, to audit its scoring for bias every month. It publishes the results each time. The most recent audit sampled 22,914 interviews. It rated every one of fifteen protected categories “Clear,” including disability, sex, age and criminal history. It also checks that reporting against New York City’s Local Law 144 and the EU AI Act. The same check covers rules in Colorado and California.

Candidates are told plainly, and can stop anytime

HeyMilo tells every candidate that an AI is interviewing them. Consent is logged with a time stamp, and a candidate can take it back at any point. If a candidate says stop, HeyMilo says “the interaction ends.”

It holds SOC 2 and names a data protection officer

HeyMilo holds SOC 2 Type I and Type II. These are independent audits of its security controls. It also says it follows GDPR, Europe’s privacy law, and the matching privacy and anti-spam laws in Canada and Quebec. HeyMilo names a data protection officer who reports straight to its board. That officer trains HeyMilo’s staff on the AI’s risks and limits. HeyMilo also commits to telling you within 48 hours of a confirmed security incident. Request the certificates themselves from HeyMilo, rather than just taking its word for them.

The contract caps what you can recover at six months of fees

HeyMilo AI is the trading name of Redsnack Technologies Inc. It is privately held, venture-backed, and based in New York. Redsnack was founded in 2023. It reports $2.2m in seed funding, led by Canaan Partners in March 2025. It reports $6m in total funding, most recently in a round led by Category Ventures in June 2026. No acquisition, redundancy or lawsuit naming the company has been reported.

HeyMilo’s cap is whatever you paid in the six months before the claim. Those same terms rule out any claim for lost profit, lost revenue or lost data on top of that cap. They also ask you to cover HeyMilo’s own legal costs. That applies if a third party brings a claim over your use of the service. Disputes go to a private arbitrator under Delaware law, one customer at a time, not as a class action. You get one year from when a dispute starts to bring a claim at all.

If a candidate brings a claim over how they were screened, get in writing who pays to defend it. Then decide whether six months of fees is enough of a ceiling for your risk.

You choose which rules act without a person

Nothing outside your own change records shows which of these rules are switched on. Keep a written list of which rules are live, and who approved each one.

The contract makes no promise about results or uptime

HeyMilo’s terms say it does not guarantee the result. That covers the accuracy, completeness and reliability of any candidate information or interview result it gives you. Hiring decisions stay your responsibility. The same terms give you the service as is. HeyMilo makes no promise that it will run without error or interruption. It can change, suspend or stop the service at any time, without notice. It takes no blame for the downtime that follows. If HeyMilo is a candidate’s first contact with you, get your own contract terms. Set an availability figure, a support window and a remedy, because none of those come from HeyMilo’s own terms.

What you buy cannot be returned

Under HeyMilo’s terms, every purchase is non-refundable. That covers the plan itself, and the interviews, résumé screens and texts you draw down against it. You can cancel the subscription at any time, from your own account. But if you buy a batch for a hiring push that never happens, you have still paid for it.

Candidates get no right to ask for a person instead

A candidate cannot ask for a human interviewer in place of HeyMilo’s AI. They also get no way to adjust the interview for a disability. If your hiring policy promises either of those things, you provide it yourself.

It fits high-volume hiring, from one recruiter to a national team

If you hire at volume across many sites

Wilson, a national staffing and recruitment outsourcing firm, put HeyMilo at the front of its hiring funnel. Wilson now reports four times as many placements. It also reports a time-to-hire cut of 82%. Wilson also reports a candidate satisfaction score of 4.7 out of 5. Neo Financial runs HeyMilo across 47 Canadian locations. Voice screening starts the moment someone applies. Inergroup used HeyMilo to screen and schedule around 10,000 candidates in a single quarter. Inergroup now saves more than 80 hours of recruiter time a week. It says that equals two full-time recruiters.

If you are a staffing firm judged against other firms

TRG Staffing Solutions runs about 3,000 interviews a month through HeyMilo. TRG says that after it started using HeyMilo, it beat every other staffing firm on the same client account. It won on each thing that client tracks, including order fulfilment, staff turnover, candidate quality and attendance.

If one or two people carry all of the screening

Alpine Home Air is an 11 to 50 person company. With HeyMilo and a single HR person, Alpine now handles more than 3,000 applicants in three days. Alpine reports screening time down 70%. Care Dynamics has 2 to 10 employees. Each month, the candidates it can put forward tripled, from 10 to 29. Care Dynamics also spends 90% less time interviewing. PMO Partners also has 1 to 10 employees. It now replies to all of its overflow candidates, the ones it used to lose. That is after 18 months on HeyMilo.

If you hire at enterprise scale, corporate and frontline both

Intershop is a large e-commerce company. It reports interviewing 300 times as many candidates as before. Intershop also cut a hiring manager’s daily screening time to under ten minutes, down from three hours. Randstad and Christiana Care are named as live customers too, alongside Wilson and Neo Financial. Across all of them, HeyMilo’s own count puts candidates screened through the platform at more than a million.

No price before sign-up, and deletion within 10 days of leaving

You cannot confirm HeyMilo’s price before you talk to anyone. The plan price only shows up once your account is open. Managing or cancelling that plan later runs through Stripe’s own customer portal, not through HeyMilo directly.

The one number HeyMilo does publish belongs to HeyMilo Red, which is sold separately. HeyMilo Red has a free tier, covering about 300 minutes of scanning a month. Its next tier costs $59 a month and covers about 3,000 minutes. It comes with a 14-day trial. A custom-priced enterprise tier sits on top of that. None of this tells you what the interviews themselves will cost.

HeyMilo’s terms and its data agreement set no minimum company size, and no minimum contract value. HeyMilo says the platform suits high-volume frontline and hourly roles, such as warehouse, retail, healthcare and call-centre work. It also suits corporate roles, such as sales, account management and IT project work. Its smallest customers are one-person HR teams with a few thousand applicants a year. Its largest run dozens of locations. Bring your own hiring volume to the conversation.

You can ask HeyMilo to delete a single candidate’s data while you are still a customer. By default, it waits 60 days after you confirm the request. You can set that wait anywhere from 30 to 180 days. You can also cancel the request inside that window. After the contract ends, HeyMilo must delete every copy of your data within 10 business days. It must also certify that in writing, inside those same 10 days. Put the export format, and the export window, in your order form.

You could also build a screen, an interview and a debrief on your own tracking system. We have mapped what that looks like. See it as an agent

What to ask before you sign

  1. Name the live rules in Workday, iCIMS, SAP SuccessFactors, SmartRecruiters, Bullhorn and Avionté. Which move a candidate forward without a recruiter opening the file? Which also reject one? Good answer: A written list of the live rules, and which are switched on the day our account opens.
  2. In iCIMS, SAP SuccessFactors and SmartRecruiters, can a score ever reject or archive a candidate instead of moving them forward? Good answer: A direct no, confirmed in writing for each system.
  3. Which of our structured questions can we mark as a dealbreaker, and who on our side can do that? Good answer: A named role, not any admin who happens to be signed in.
  4. In UKG Pro, a recruiter decides before anything moves. If we change tracking systems during the contract, does that protection travel with us? Good answer: Yes, written into the order form.
  5. Your contract caps what we can recover at six months of fees. It also asks us to defend you, as well as ourselves. What would you add in writing for a company our size? Good answer: A higher cap, or cover for the cost of defending a claim.
  6. Your terms give us the service as is, with no uptime promise. What uptime figure, support window and penalty are you willing to put in our contract? Good answer: A number, a window and a penalty, all written into the order form.
  7. Your phone and text pages state 14 or more languages. Your homepage states 20 or more. Which is true for a live voice interview today? Good answer: One figure, tied to voice interviews specifically, not text or the homepage count.
  8. Your fraud check compares a candidate’s voice across interviews, and watches for a second voice or eyes leaving the screen. Who inside your company can listen to that recording after the interview ends? Good answer: A named team, with a reason each one has access.

Apriora, Ribbon, Humanly, Maki Mochi or Employment Hero, or buy nothing

Five other tools compete with HeyMilo for this kind of high-volume hiring. They are Apriora, Ribbon, Humanly, Maki Mochi and Employment Hero. Apriora, Ribbon and Humanly are recruiting tools, like HeyMilo itself. Maki Mochi comes at the same job from assessment software, and it sells mostly across Europe. Employment Hero is the one that comes bundled. It sells its interviewer inside the HR and payroll system some companies run already. Weigh buying nothing against all five too.

Ribbon publishes its price. It starts at $499 a month, and that buys 100 interviews. You do not have to open an account to see that figure. Ribbon does not move candidates by itself. A HeyMilo account set up that way can. The choice is between a price you can see today and a setting that can act without a person.

On some Employment Hero HR plans, its interviewer is included with no new contract. Bought alone, it costs A$199 a month for 50 interviews.

Buying nothing is a real option too. HeyMilo helps most when many people apply. That is where recruiters turn away qualified people for lack of hours. If that is not happening yet, it is unlikely to pay for itself soon. In New York City, the bias audit and the candidate notices fall on the employer, not the vendor. Our market guide lays out the case for waiting a year.

Sources and method Everything said about HeyMilo here comes from HeyMilo’s own website: its product pages, integration setup guides, technical documentation, responsible-AI page, terms of service, privacy policy, data processing agreement, funding announcements and customer stories. It also comes from its bias auditor’s own dashboard, and from the separately branded HeyMilo Red site. What HeyMilo publishes about its own product is taken as its description of that product. Every source was read on 19 September 2026, and quotations are word for word. Where two of HeyMilo’s own pages give different figures for the same thing, the lower figure is used here, and the difference is put to the vendor as a question instead. For example, the language count here is 14 or more, matching HeyMilo’s dedicated phone and text pages rather than its homepage. Direct queries to the United States federal award database, and to the public court-records service, returned nothing under HeyMilo’s name or Redsnack Technologies’.
