You need compliance courses such as harassment prevention, with content for each jurisdiction. You want prices you can read before a sales call. Some of your staff have no work email. You want AI to turn your own policies into courses.
You want help by phone. You may need to leave in the middle of a term. You want to keep AI-built courses if you switch vendors.
Pay Per Course costs $24.95 per course per learner per year, with a 10-course minimum. Core costs $59.95 and Ultimate $89.95 per user per year, with a 10-user minimum. There is no free trial. EasyLlama offers demos.
A library of compliance courses with a tracking system attached
EasyLlama offers compliance and security training powered by AI. It helps over 8,000 organisations. The training sits in one learning platform. The platform assigns courses and shows who is trained and who is overdue.
The course count depends on the page you read. The pricing page sells Pay Per Course as access to 500+ legally vetted courses. The help centre puts the Pay Per Course library at 450+ and the Compliance and Workplace Training library at 400+. Ask for the list that comes with your plan.
What each person sees depends on their role. A learner’s training profile shows activity, assignments, recertification dates and completion history. Leaders see only the learners in their own location, department or team. Anonymous reports are visible only to administrators with full access. EasyLlama includes an Anonymous Reporting Tool at no extra charge in the three current plans.
EasyLlama also sells a phishing simulator. Its Core plan summary gives 13 languages for phishing simulations. Its feature table gives 35+. The AI Reporting Assistant, covered below, does not yet cover Phishing Simulator results.
The platform pulls employee details from a connected HR or payroll system, and the records sync on a schedule. The home page puts the number of payroll and HR system connections at 40+. The pricing FAQ puts it at 50+. Training status can sync to Vanta and Drata. Every plan includes a data connection for developers, called an API. Staff can log in with their work account through Okta, Microsoft Entra or JumpCloud. EasyLlama also prices single sign-on by scope as a custom service, with white-labelling and custom course development. Ask whether work-account login is in your plan.
EasyLlama’s HR Compliance Tools are add-on services in the customer plan, including a smart chatbot, employee handbooks and document signature. The Compliance Hub, powered by VirgilHR, helps HR professionals stay up to date with US employment and labour laws. Its AI chatbot answers questions about federal, state and local legal requirements for HR tasks. EasyLlama provides these tools as an authorised reseller of VirgilHR.

Where it earns its price in reach, reminders and AI course building
Courses reach staff who have no work email
A Kiosk Link is one shareable link for learners without a work email or on a shared device. Classroom Mode and use on several devices come with every plan. In Classroom Mode, a facilitator presents a course to a group and tracks each learner’s completion.
Set-up, reminders and repeat training run with little admin time
Admins assign courses by role, department, location or custom field. Automatic recertification assigns training again at set intervals. Reminders go by email, SMS and Slack, and they escalate as due dates get closer. At Adams Fairacre Farms, a one-minute HR-system sync and magic links replaced manual work. New hires finish courses in under a week, and trainers got four weeks back.
The AI builder starts from your own policies
The authoring tool drafts a course from an uploaded PDF, handbook or procedure, or from a topic you describe. The AI writes chapters, slides, knowledge checks, images and narration. The author can review, edit and add to the draft. The Ultimate plan includes it. Natural Retreats used it to adapt courses by department, role, state and company policy.
Practice conversations and plain-language reports
AI Scenarios are chat-style practice conversations where the AI replies to the learner. Admins set the AI’s role, tone, limits and company policies. Each scenario ends with strengths, areas to improve and next steps. Pay Per Course, Core and Ultimate all include them. The Reporting Assistant answers admins’ plain-language questions about assignments, completions, due dates and learner progress. Every admin can use it, on any plan.
Machine translation costs nothing extra
EasyLlama delivers training in several languages at no additional cost, including its Compliance courses. Its LMS page puts the count at 100+ languages. Its help centre puts AI Translations at 30+. Its AI Translations page puts them at 35+. Ask for the language list for your courses. Admins can compare a translation side by side with the original before they publish it. The machine translation carries a note that recommends a review for accuracy.
Who it fits, by size of team and kind of workforce
Teams with 10 users can start at about $600 a year
Core and Ultimate have a 10-user minimum, so a team of 10 pays from about $600 a year on Core. Pay Per Course has a 10-course minimum. GLAAD has 47 employees and Tiger Pistol has over 40. Tiger Pistol’s SVP of Operations calls the company relatively small and in start-up mode.
Staff in many states need content that matches their state
EasyLlama updates its own harassment prevention courses yearly with content for each jurisdiction. Compliance Advisor checks an organisation against 800+ lawyer-curated mandates. It takes employee locations from learner records. Pipl has 150 remote employees across 15 states. Natural Retreats has over 350 employees in 22 states, with six people in HR and one learning leader.
Frontline staff are reached by link and by classroom
Staff without a work email need another way in. Kiosk Links and Classroom Mode, described above, are EasyLlama’s way. Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut has 1,080 employees. It looked at a variety of vendors for harassment prevention training and chose EasyLlama. Shake Shack uses its harassment prevention training to teach 12,000+ team members what they should not do in the workplace.
Companies that already run a learning platform
You may not need a second platform. EasyLlama supplies its courses as course files for another platform. The file format is SCORM, the standard for e-learning courses. Tracking stays inside EasyLlama. Contact sales for the price of this SCORM plan.
Where it stops on legal cover, AI ownership and phone help
A certificate records attendance, not compliance
Under EasyLlama’s terms, a certificate only confirms that a learner finished the course. It gives no warranty that a legal or compliance requirement is met. Compliance Advisor is not legal advice. If a question goes unanswered, it fills in the AI recommendation. It defaults to Yes where no recommendation exists. Ask your lawyer to check those answers.
Customised courses go stale unless you update them
EasyLlama does not update customised courses on its own when compliance rules change. Under its terms, you are responsible for assigning users to updated course content. Name one person on your team to own both jobs.
You do not own what the AI builds
Under EasyLlama’s terms, EasyLlama owns the output of the Course Authoring Tools. You may not export it for use outside the subscription. Your access to it ends immediately when your agreement ends or expires. Under its terms, you check the AI output for accuracy. EasyLlama provides the AI as is and at your sole risk. Other users may get similar content.
Two answers on where your learners’ data goes
Under its privacy policy, EasyLlama uses AI services from OpenAI and Anthropic. These services may process personal data. EasyLlama does not use personal data to train or improve its AI models. Under two AI Scenarios help articles, EasyLlama does not share client data with any outside AI tool. Ask which statement covers your learners.
Your data sits in the United States
EasyLlama keeps data within the United States. It processes, transfers and stores it there. A data processing agreement applies. It includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and UK and Swiss addenda. EasyLlama is SOC 2 Type II certified. It is GDPR and CCPA compliant. It encrypts data in transit and at rest. It also keeps de-identified data it makes from personal data. It keeps anonymised and pseudo-anonymised data for as long as it judges the data commercially necessary.
Phone support is not offered
EasyLlama offers no phone support. Accounts with 50 or more seats get offered a dedicated customer success manager. Accounts with 100 or more seats get offered dedicated onboarding.
What it costs, and what the contract ties you to
Pay Per Course costs $24.95 per course per learner per year. It has a 10-course minimum, sold in increments of 5. The courses do not roll over to the next year. Core costs $59.95 per user per year and Ultimate costs $89.95. Both have a 10-user minimum, sold in increments of 5. Fifty users on Core cost $2,997.50 a year. Fifty on Ultimate cost $4,497.50. Ultimate includes prompt-based AI course creation. An AI Course Authoring subscription also covers it.
Some extras cost more. Human verification of a translation costs $250 per course per language. Dubbing costs $100 per video per language. EasyLlama stopped new sales of its older plans after 1 June 2026.
The seat rules decide the bill. A seat ties to a learner once an assigned course is more than 50% complete. Archiving a learner does not free a used seat. The subscription rests on peak seat use during the term. Seats expire each year on the anniversary and do not carry over. Seat counts cannot go below 10. Core and Ultimate include Reusable Seats, and Pay Per Course does not. Assigning seats beyond the plan moves you to the next plan tier. EasyLlama issues no refunds for unused seats or courses.
Organisations with 100+ seats on Core or Ultimate get Post-Pay by default, with a valid card on file. Prorating applies. They may opt out. Seats used beyond the subscription are totalled monthly and rounded up to a multiple of 5. EasyLlama charges them on the first of the next month.
It renews on its own, and the notice date matters
Plans renew for the same term. Renewal is avoided only if written notice of non-renewal is given at least 60 days before the term ends. Under its help centre, all subscriptions renew automatically each year. Customers may cancel up to 60 days before renewal unless they signed a multi-year contract. There is no refund if you miss it. EasyLlama notifies you of a renewal fee increase before the term ends. You pay the fees in effect at renewal unless you give notice.
Leaving early means paying the rest
If the customer ends the agreement early, a fee of 100% of the remaining fees is due within ten days. Fees are not prorated or refunded on early termination. Invoices are payable Net 30. EasyLlama may suspend or terminate the service for invoices more than 30 days past due, after ten days’ written notice. Past due payments accrue interest at the lesser of 1.5% a month or the highest rate the law allows.
Your records can be exported for 60 days after you leave, if you have paid in full
Completion data is made available to export if the account is paid in full. You must ask in writing within 60 days after the agreement ends. After 60 days, EasyLlama may delete all customer data and completion data without further notice. EasyLlama offers bulk certificate export. Use it before the term ends.
Liability, disputes and your logo
Liability is capped at the fees you paid in the prior twelve months. Claims go to individual binding arbitration under Delaware law. EasyLlama may use your name and logo in its marketing until you give written notice to stop.

- Is logging in with our work account included in our plan? Good answer: Yes, in writing. EasyLlama prices single sign-on by scope as a custom service.
- Which statement covers our learners’ data, the privacy policy or the AI Scenarios articles? Good answer: One written answer that covers every outside AI company that sees our data.
- Can we keep the courses the AI built for us if we leave? Good answer: Yes, in writing. Under the terms, your access ends on termination.
- Can we cut seats during the term? Good answer: A written answer. The terms allow downgrades at renewal with 60 days’ notice. The pricing FAQ allows them at any time, taking effect at the end of the billing cycle.
- What will the renewal price be, and when will you send it? Good answer: A written figure well before the 60-day notice date.
- Who updates our customised courses, and who tells us what changed? Good answer: A named owner on both sides and a written change notice.
- Which languages are in the translation of our courses? Good answer: A language list for each course. EasyLlama’s pages give 100+, 35+ and 30+.
- What does a Reusable Seat let us do when someone leaves? Good answer: A plain answer in writing, with an example.
- How do we get our completion records out before the term ends? Good answer: A bulk export we run ourselves, with the steps in writing.
Alternatives to EasyLlama
Two learning platforms to look at are TalentLMS and Litmos. If you already run a learning platform, you can keep it and buy only EasyLlama’s courses (see Who it fits).
EasyLlama needs an LMS package subscription before you can upload your own content. TalentLMS sells a bundle of EasyLlama courses, 13 core compliance topics in 74 localised or role-based versions. That puts these courses inside TalentLMS’s own platform. Core costs $119 a month for 1 to 40 users.
Litmos has a library of more than 17,700 courses. Foundation starts at $8K a year and Platinum at $15K. Litmos offers a free trial. It re-enrols people when a certificate nears expiry.
EasyLlama’s AI Scenarios are chat-style practice conversations inside a course. Managers who want to practise hard conversations away from a course have another option. Merlin is Risely’s AI coach. In roleplay, it plays the other person, such as a defensive direct report or a sceptical VP. The manager practises the approach before the real conversation. Merlin also works through scenarios, such as a team member saying they are thinking about quitting. It is a practice partner, not a course library.
