You need to store protected health data or special category personal data in it. You plan to count on the AI features before you have seen which plan carries them.

It re-enrols learners on your schedule, and a new AI layer sits on top

LearnUpon assigns courses and proves they were finished. It re-enrols learners at intervals the admin sets, so they can keep their certification. Managers see the current progress of learners in their groups. A manager can send a reminder by course status.

LearnUpon supports SCORM and xAPI course files only. SCORM is the standard file format for online courses. xAPI is a standard for sending learning records between systems. Go1 content appears in your portal as ready-made SCORM courses. Go1 gives access to 100,000 or more courses from 250 or more content providers. LearnUpon also connects to LinkedIn Learning.

Live training works differently since 14 April 2026. Instructor-led sessions can no longer be managed within portals. Live Learning holds in-person and online sessions in events. LearnUpon connects to Zoom and Microsoft Teams for live meetings.

LearnUpon’s AI features include Create+, which drafts a course from your files. Ask Lia is a chat assistant where learners find what to learn next. The Reporting Agent takes requests for data and returns insights. An MCP server is a link that lets outside AI chat tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini pull reports. It can run and export reports but cannot create, change or delete anything in the portal. Admins can also map skills to job titles and courses.

Its completion proof and its included consultant stand out

You can show an auditor who finished what, and learners can show it too

Admins can pull training history records to prove completions. Learners can open their own history and download it as a PDF or a spreadsheet. Audit Trails record who did what on a portal, which is your LearnUpon site, and when. An admin can download them as a spreadsheet. LearnUpon can also add an electronic signature to a course for compliance training.

It connects to HR systems, and staff log in with their work account

In October 2024 LearnUpon announced ten new HR system links, among them HiBob, Workday, Deel, ADP, Gusto and SuccessFactors. It also connects to Paylocity, Paycor, Dayforce and BambooHR. The BambooHR link depends on the plan. Staff can log in with their work account. Some customers use identity providers such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID and OneLogin. They can have users added and removed automatically from the company directory.

Create+ builds a first draft of a course from the files you upload

Create+ turns uploaded videos, PDFs, PowerPoint files and web links into a first draft. A creator can review the draft for accuracy and publish it. Create+ translates content into more than 120 languages and adds AI narration. LearnUpon announced the purchase of Courseau on 19 November 2025, and Create+ was previously Courseau. LearnUpon puts the saving at courses built 90% faster, at 10% of the cost. Ask for a customer who measured that.

Every plan includes an implementation consultant and support at any hour

All plans come with an Implementation Consultant to help set up, connect and launch. Every plan also includes technical support from real people, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Learners can train on a phone, even without a connection

The iOS and Android app serves learners, instructors, managers and admins. Progress and enrolment history sync across devices while online. If you let learners download content, they can use it offline.

The security papers are in place

LearnUpon holds ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2019 certificates and is SOC 2 and GDPR compliant. Its hosting runs on Amazon Web Services. LearnUpon puts its uptime at 99.99% or better. The learner experience has met WCAG 2.2 AA, an accessibility standard for disabled users, since June 2026. A few keyboard-navigation exceptions appear in its accessibility report.

It starts at 100 users, and large employers use it

LearnUpon for Employees starts from 100 users. LearnUpon for Associations starts from 150 users. LearnUpon for Customer Education starts from 300 users. LearnUpon will not be a fit for companies that want a solution for fewer than 100 users. It will also not be a fit for an on-premise solution.

Large employers use it, including for compliance

Adecco Group delivers an Integrity and Compliance program to over 35,000 employees with LearnUpon. Premium Retail Services connects its 10,000+ employees to training. Gusto uses LearnUpon for 1,500 employees and 10,000+ partners. Edrington provided 2,500 employees with learning opportunities using LearnUpon and Degreed. LearnUpon partners with Degreed.

Two customers report results on completion and onboarding

MIDFLORIDA Credit Union reports 100% completion across its 1,400+ employees. It also hit its goal of 100% completion for all assigned compliance training. It delivered 17,500 courses in the first quarter, up from 6,480 a year earlier. GTreasury reports a 90% reduction in costs for support team onboarding. In a GTreasury quote, new support hires took 6 to 9 months to become productive. They are down to almost 3 to 4 weeks. These are LearnUpon’s customer stories.

The AI you see may not be in your plan, and the terms put its risk on you

The AI in the demo may not be in your plan, or may not be live yet

Create+, Ask Lia, the MCP server and Skills depend on your plan. Ask Lia and the MCP server are on new LearnUpon pricing plans only. A Customer Success Manager must turn Create+ on for your portal. The Journey Agent is in beta. Several features are coming soon, including scenario-based role-plays and programs built from skill gaps. A due date does not lock anyone out

A due date is advisory. Learners can still open the course after it passes. Managers can send a reminder by course status, including past-due enrolments. If your policy needs more than a reminder, ask how LearnUpon handles a late learner.

Learners’ names, emails and your files go to outside companies when you use the AI

Adjektiv Inc. handles AI course authoring in the United States. It processes first name, last name, email address and the content you upload. Azure processes data you input or upload in the EU. The AI tools access only data you explicitly provide, and you decide when to use them. Azure OpenAI Service does not use submitted content to train its models. It stores content up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. LearnUpon’s generative AI features rely on technology from partners such as AWS. Under the data processing agreement, you can object in writing to a new or replacement outside provider. You have ten days from notice. Extra terms apply to some of its outside providers, and you may opt in or out of those. Ask which ones.

Under the terms, you answer for what the AI produces

Under LearnUpon’s terms, the customer is solely responsible for all AI output, including accuracy and legality. AI tools and their output may not meet your desired results, so you must use discretion. The customer must also promise that it will not use AI tools for any bias or profiling of individuals. LearnUpon recommends always reviewing and editing generated questions. You must review each AI question and answer to confirm accuracy.

Some data cannot go in, and the data location has conditions

Under LearnUpon’s terms, you may not store or send three kinds of data on the platform. These are special category personal data, protected health data and payment card data. Customer data is stored in the EU, the US or Australia, depending on your residency needs. A location outside the EU is for new customers only, depending on the plan. Data may be processed outside your region to offer 24x7 support.

Training history must be exported when the contract ends

On expiry or termination, the customer must export each learner’s training history. LearnUpon may delete all your content 30 days afterwards. If fees are 30 days overdue, LearnUpon may delete the top-level portal, its sub-portals and courses. Sub-portals are separate areas for a business unit or client. Permanent account deletion for a user also deletes their training history.

LearnUpon prices through sales, and the contract renews every year

One public figure comes from a contract award. RTÉ invited submissions to implement a cloud-based learning management system for all its employees. LearnUpon Limited won it. The award was published on 15 May 2026. Its result value is EUR 207,780. The estimated value was EUR 250,000 over 60 months. Treat it as one public figure, not as your quote.

Under LearnUpon’s Supplemental Services Terms, Create+ is an extra product. LearnUpon may offer a library of pre-built training assets as a paid extra called Content Foundations. Go1 content is licensed for internal training during the term. Ask for each extra as its own line.

Each order has a one-year term. It renews automatically for 12 months unless either party gives 30 days’ written notice of non-renewal. Fees for plans and extras may change on thirty days’ notice and apply from renewal. A customer may end the contract on 30 days’ written notice. Payment for the current term is non-refundable.

Under its terms, LearnUpon’s total liability is capped at the subscription payments paid or payable in the preceding twelve months. That cap is the ceiling on what LearnUpon owes you in total. New York law governs the terms, with disputes in New York courts. You are responsible for staying within your plan’s limits.

What to ask before you sign

Which plan carries Ask Lia, the MCP server, Create+, skills and AI assessments? Good answer: A written plan row for each one.
Which AI features are live today, and which are in beta or coming soon? Good answer: A date for each one that is not live.
What is the price for my number of users, with Create+ and Content Foundations as separate lines? Good answer: One written figure for each line.
How do you handle a learner who misses a due date? Good answer: A setting you can see in a demo.
Which completion data goes back to my HR system? Good answer: A written list of fields in each direction.
Which outside companies handle our learners’ details for AI, and can we opt out of each? Good answer: A named list with an opt-out in the order form.
Where is our data stored, and where can support staff reach it? Good answer: One named region in the contract, plus the support locations.
How do we export full training history before the term ends? Good answer: A tested export before the 30-day deletion window.

Alternatives to LearnUpon

Three products answer the places where LearnUpon stops. Docebo, Absorb and TalentLMS differ from LearnUpon on team size, HR system links or how the AI is sold.

LearnUpon will not be a fit for companies that want a solution for fewer than 100 users. TalentLMS has a free plan for up to 5 users and 10 courses. Its Core plan covers 1 to 40 users at $119 a month.

LearnUpon’s Workday and BambooHR links send user details to LearnUpon in one direction. TalentLMS’s BambooHR link also syncs completed training into BambooHR. Docebo’s Namely connector syncs learning history back into Namely.

LearnUpon ties its newest AI features to your plan. Docebo uses an AI credit system to track the use of selected AI features. Absorb’s Aura uses credits for certain AI features. Every Absorb client gets an initial pool and can buy more. With credits, the AI bill can change with use. Ask each vendor for the allowance in writing.
