Axonify
Axonify is training software for staff who work shifts, not at a desk. Employees answer a few short questions each day on a phone, tablet or shared screen. Managers see who knows what. Axonify quotes its price on request. Under its North America terms, orders renew automatically and fees are non-cancellable, with limited exceptions.
A frontline training platform that quizzes workers daily and gives managers a live view of readiness.
Your staff work shifts on phones, tablets or kiosks. You want to check what people know every day. You are happy to sign terms governed by Ontario law, if you sign the North America terms.
You need more than 30 days to collect your content under the North America terms. You cannot accept fees that are non-cancellable and non-refundable, with limited exceptions.
Axonify quotes from team size, locations and the features you need. Its team replies within 1 business day to a quote request. It then sends an estimate.
Axonify asks shift workers a few questions a day and shows managers who is ready
Axonify calls itself an AI-powered frontline enablement platform. It sets out to close the gap between what staff learn and what they do on the job. The main tool is a short daily set of questions. The questions adapt to each worker’s progress. A refresher takes under five minutes per shift and depends on how each person performed. Core, Pro and Premium all include training paths and certifications.
Staff reach it on the device they have. The same experience runs on mobile, tablet, kiosk and desktop. Charcoal Group staff train on their own phones or on devices in the restaurants. Training and communications also run on Zebra devices. Axonify embeds inside Microsoft Teams. Archrock reports that technicians in areas without internet access can download documents.
Managers get a live view of readiness. Axonify tracks knowledge scores, confidence data and coaching signals. Manager observations become measurable signals. At goeasy, an algorithm puts compliance training first so leaders know staff are getting it. The same platform also sells task management, checklists, announcements, channels, two-way messaging and pulse reporting. It adds points, leaderboards and rewards.
AI runs through the product. Max Assistant answers staff questions in 60+ languages. It can pull answers from existing content such as SharePoint procedures and policies. Axonify’s AI agents surface gaps and recommend actions. With Max Coach, an admin builds a practice scenario. The admin adds it to a training path and assigns it to a group. Each employee practises alone and gets a scored evaluation. Co-Creator turns procedures, policies and manuals into takeaways and quiz questions, with built-in tools to review and edit them.
Content Studio is powered by Vyond. It turns prompts into scripted training videos. It also localises training into 70+ languages with automated voiceovers and captions.
Axonify offers a connector for outside AI assistants. Axonify calls it an MCP server. From a chat, an admin can ask about the frontline, assign training, set tasks and send messages. The user reviews a drafted message before it is sent. The assistant sees only what the signed-in person may see. Axonify keeps a record of each request.
Axonify also sits beside the HR and learning systems you may already run. Workday data is synchronised into Axonify. A SAP SuccessFactors training completion triggers a refresher in Axonify. Integrations can sync compliance certifications and onboarding completion rates. They can also share participation, frequency and knowledge data. Custom connections are built with Axonify’s open APIs, which are the standard way for software to exchange data. The Workday integration is a paid add-on.
Customers report high take-up on phones and shared screens
Each result belongs to the customer named. Axonify publishes each figure itself.
Floor & Decor reports 95% participation from the start
Floor & Decor sends broadcast messages through Axonify. They reach all 14,000 associates. It broke 200 e-learning courses from its old LMS into five-minute lessons. It ran a four-week pilot in ten stores first.
Charcoal Group reports 97% participation on staff phones
It reports 97% participation and 12 sessions a month. Staff train on their own phones or on devices in the restaurants. The group has 1,200 team members. Its vice president estimates paper tests cost $45,000 a year in manager time. New team members pass a knowledge check in Axonify before they work alone.
Sleep Country reports 75% participation about 12 times a month
Sleep Country has frontline employees without company email addresses. It reports that Axonify flags it to supervisors when someone struggles with a topic. Axonify trained its admins and helped build its first lessons.
Marriott International and Walmart use it at large scale
Marriott International used Axonify with over 800,000 associates. They work across 9,000 locations and 38 languages. It reached 95% platform participation in 70 days. More than 75,000 Walmart associates in 150+ US distribution centres use Axonify. They can see their own progress and how they compare with peers.
The base price is not the whole product, and the terms put AI checking on you
Max Coach, the newest AI feature, is in Pro and Premium
Max Assistant is included in every package. Max Coach is part of Coaching & Development in Pro and Premium. Axonify announced Max Coach on 2 September 2026. An invitation-only pilot came first. The package table marks Conversational analytics as Beta. Ask to see each feature you want working before you pay for its tier.
Several features are paid add-ons
Axonify sells several capabilities as standalone add-ons across any tier. Content Studio is one. The Workday integration is another. So are advanced data connectivity and expanded AI coaching usage. Third-party content is bought through a separate order. If you stop subscribing to Content Studio, your access to the videos you edited ends.
Under the North America terms, checking the AI’s work falls to you
Under the North America terms, customers should evaluate AI output, including by human review. AI output may be incorrect. The AI components are provided as is. Axonify has no liability from customers’ use of them. Plan for a person to read every quiz question first.
Axonify owns the usage figures it derives
Under the North America terms, Axonify may collect and derive aggregated and anonymous data. That data covers the use, results and performance of the platform. Axonify owns these figures. Customers must not upload personal financial or medical details. The same goes for other non-public personal details that the law could treat as private or sensitive.
Standard support keeps office hours in Eastern Time
Under the North America terms, standard support answers tickets 9 am to 5 pm Eastern Time, Monday to Friday. For critical outages, Axonify gives a first response within one business hour, with 24x7 coverage. If your admins work outside those hours, ask who answers them. SmartStart Advantage is an optional package. It adds premium support and help to run the platform.
Where your data sits depends on which terms you sign. The North America terms host it in the USA, on Google Cloud Platform or AWS, unless the order says otherwise. Under those terms Axonify may switch between Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform. It needs no written approval from the customer. The Europe terms host it on Google Cloud Platform in Belgium. Back-up sits in the Netherlands, unless the order says otherwise. Customers choose US or EU storage at account set-up.
Others besides your own team can reach your data. Axonify staff may access the data from other locations. Under the North America terms, you authorise Axonify to share your content with your own vendors for integrations.
Axonify makes promises about your data. Customer data is never used to train external models. Axonify reports SOC 2 Type II and GDPR alignment. It also reports accessibility compliance and a choice of hosting region. The customer is the data controller. Axonify is the processor for platform data. Its AI uses third-party technology, including Google’s Vertex AI.
Axonify quotes a price, and its North America terms tie you to renewals and fee rises
Axonify quotes a price from your team size, locations and the features you need. Its team replies within 1 business day to a quote request. It then sends an estimate. The packages are Core, Pro and Premium. Most customers are live in as little as 8 weeks. Every customer gets a Customer Success Manager after go-live.
Under its North America terms, you are tied in from the start. Each order renews automatically for a period equal to the original term. Either party can stop that with written notice at least 60 days before the term ends. Fees are non-cancellable and non-refundable, with limited exceptions. If you end an order for Axonify’s material breach, Axonify repays unearned prepaid fees.
Axonify reserves the right to raise subscription fees. It also reserves the right to amend the agreement and the website terms at any time. Suppose you exceed your usage rights. You then have 30 days from notice to fix it. If you do not, Axonify may charge its then-current usage fees. Unpaid invoices carry a 1.5% monthly finance charge. This does not apply to invoices in written good-faith dispute. You pay in US dollars unless the order agrees another currency. Disputes are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
The same terms also set what you get if it fails or ends. Neither party is liable for amounts above the fees paid in the preceding 12 months. Some exceptions apply. They include gross negligence and wilful misconduct. The service level is 99.9% access. It is measured as an average over a rolling six months. The service-level table covers business hours. It gives no allowance at 99.9% or above. Below that, it allows 5% to 30% against fees. Downtime from a Google Cloud Platform outage is left out of the calculation.
On request within 30 days of termination, you may access the platform to retrieve a file of your content. Axonify has no duty to keep that content. It may irretrievably delete it 30 days after termination. Data entered into a trial feature may not be kept after the trial ends.
You could also run training steps with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map
What to ask Axonify before you sign
- What will we pay for our headcount and sites? Please price the Workday integration, Content Studio and extra AI coaching as their own lines. Good answer: One written figure, with each add-on as a separate line.
- Which tier holds each AI feature we want, and which of them are still in beta? Good answer: A list by tier, with Conversational analytics marked Beta.
- Will you cap the rise in subscription fees at renewal? Good answer: A capped percentage written into the order.
- Which terms would we sign outside North America, and how do they differ? Good answer: A named set of terms and a list of the differences.
- How long after the contract ends can we export our training records, and in what file? Good answer: Longer than 30 days, with the file type named.
- Which region will our data sit in, and can it move without our written approval? Good answer: A named region in the order, and no move without our approval.
- Do we keep our compliance records in Axonify, or does Axonify feed them to our HR system? Good answer: A clear answer for each type of course. Axonify’s own pages call it both an LMS and not one.
- How do staff with no company email sign in? Good answer: A named method, shown to us with a customer in a similar position.
- If our admins work outside 9 am to 5 pm Eastern Time, who answers them? Good answer: Support hours in the contract that match our admins.
Alternatives to Axonify, including the system you already own
If Axonify is not the right fit, look at Schoox, Docebo, YOOBIC and Confirm. You can also keep the learning system you already own.
Schoox manages instructors, rooms and materials for classroom and virtual courses. It combines online material with in-person on-the-job observation and tracks the progress in one platform. A Schoox learner counts as compliant as long as the certificate is active, even if the course was completed earlier. A certificate can carry an expiry period in months. Look at it if you need those kinds of training and their records in one place. Its customers include Five Guys, with 51,000 employees and 1,700 locations.
If you want managers to review staff practice sessions, look at Docebo. Max Coach, Axonify’s practice tool, is part of Pro and Premium. Docebo gives managers an AI roleplay tab for reviewing the roleplay submissions assigned to them. It also gives them a Skills Overview tab for the skills in their team. Docebo is often considered too complex or expensive for businesses with fewer than 100 users.
If you want to trace every AI answer back to a document, look at YOOBIC. Axonify’s North America terms warn that AI output may be incorrect. YOOBIC’s AI Assistant answers only from documentation the customer has authorised. Every answer links to its source document. The assistant indicates when it has no answer. Axonify’s Max Assistant also draws on a company’s own content. Ask both vendors how you can check an answer.
Confirm sells Learn:Go as its frontline learning platform. It tracks competency and keeps compliance visible across sites, shifts and roles. Learn:Go has a Users table with name, group, start date, due date, required, status, expire and progress. Ask whether that table could be your official record. Learn:Go starts at $16 or £12 per user per year, billed annually, based on a 5,000 person company.
Keeping your current system is a real option, because Axonify can sit beside it. A SAP SuccessFactors training completion triggers a refresher in Axonify. Integrations can sync compliance certifications and onboarding completion rates. Ask Axonify what it would replace in your setup and what it would leave running. Our market guide sets every option side by side.
