Mitti Training
Mitti Training is a phone-first course tool for teams that work away from a desk. It was called EdApp, then SC Training. SafetyCulture renamed itself Mitti on 11 August 2026. An admin can build short lessons from a file they already have and assign them by rule. Mitti tracks who has finished each one. Training has a free plan for teams of up to 10 users.
A mobile course builder from Mitti for teams that work away from a desk. It creates, assigns and tracks short lessons.
Your staff learn on their phones. You train your own people. You want to build courses from your own PDF, PowerPoint or Word files. You want to try it on the free plan first, which covers up to 10 users.
You train people outside your organisation. Mitti itself says a dedicated learning management system (LMS) may be a better fit for them. Or you need scores from your own SCORM courses to count toward course scores.
Free for teams of up to 10 users. Premium costs $24 a seat a month with annual billing, or $29 billed monthly, before tax. Enterprise has a custom price.
It turns your documents into short phone lessons and keeps the records
Training now sits inside the Mitti platform. SafetyCulture announced that it had bought EdApp on 14 September 2020. Mitti asks former EdApp customers who did not move across to contact support.
An admin can build a course from a file they already have. They upload a PDF, PowerPoint or Word file, and AI turns it into a structured course. The admin can also describe a course and let AI draft the lessons. The admin edits the draft and then publishes it. A PowerPoint file can be up to 40 MB. On the mobile app, a course can start from up to six photos of materials or from a text prompt.
AI can also write quiz questions and rewrite lesson text. It can translate a course into more than 100 languages in one click and add voice narration. Narration and translation need the Premium or Enterprise plan. A scenario is a practice conversation with an AI character. The AI checks the worker against your criteria and gives feedback. Workers can start a scenario only through onboarding.
Assignment runs on rules. Mitti assigns a course to named users, groups, sites or everyone. A rule on user fields adds people who join or change role. A recurring course repeats on a schedule, so people must complete it again. A due date triggers reminders and overdue notices.
Lessons are short and built for phones. A worker can download most lessons first. They can finish the course with no connection, and progress goes back when the phone is online again. Some content needs an internet connection and will not work offline. Admins can also set up quizzes, practical assessments and assignments.
AI comes in every plan, and the records are easy to pull
AI is in every plan, and building a course with AI in Training uses no AI credits
AI is included in every Mitti plan. Building a course with AI in Training does not use AI credits. Credits are the usage allowance for the AI Assistant chat helper and for tasks an AI agent runs. The Free plan gets up to 300 AI credits a seat a month. Premium starts at 500 and Enterprise starts at 800.
An admin can prove who completed what, and when a credential runs out
The training matrix tells an admin at a glance who is completing courses and who still needs to catch up. The data exports as a CSV file. Mitti can issue a completion certificate for each course a team member completes. Each credential carries an issue date, an expiry date, an approval status and a version history. Users can set a reminder for when their credential is about to expire.
Mitti reports completion rates of 80% to 96% at its customers
THISBOWL reports that over 90% of its 850 people finish training on time. The Wonderful Company reached a 96% completion rate after it moved from in-person sessions to mobile training. Black Rhino Group reached 80% completion on critical training across more than 1,000 employees. These results belong to those customers and not to every buyer.
You can start from ready-made courses or have Mitti’s designers build yours
Mitti offers more than 1,000 free courses you can edit. Its instructional designers will also turn your own content into short lessons. They review the course with you and make changes at no extra cost.
It suits teams that train their own staff on phones
The Grounds delivers training on smartphones across 7 venues and over 350 staff
The Grounds has 7 venues and over 350 staff. It reports that Mitti’s integration with Deputy saves time on onboarding, scheduling and staff management.
Staff can start a course from a link, and contractors can be trained before day one
An enrolment link lets a worker start a course without an admin assigning each person. Mitti can also walk contractors through required training before they start work.
Training can also happen in a room
Group Training lets a facilitator present a course as a slideshow and records attendance as complete. A meeting lesson brings a team together in person or online.
Buyers who need to know where data sits
Mitti is ISO 27001:2022 certified. Customer data is hosted on Amazon Web Services. Data at rest is stored in data centres in the US, the EU (Ireland) and Australia. User identity data and product analytics data are stored in the US wherever the rest is stored. If the region matters to you, put it to Mitti before you sign.
Where it stops, from course files to plan changes
Mitti Training is built for a narrower job than a full LMS. Most of what follows matters if you already own courses. It also matters if you want your HR system linked, or plan to use the AI Assistant a lot.
SCORM files import as slides, and their scores do not count toward course scores
SCORM is the standard file format for e-learning courses. Mitti imports a SCORM package as lesson slides. SCORM scoring is not recorded as part of course scoring. Exporting a lesson as a SCORM package is only available on the Enterprise plan.
Six features moved from Premium to Enterprise on 12 August 2026
Mitti moved six features from the Premium plan to the Enterprise plan on 12 August 2026. Organisations already on Premium keep access until their first renewal on or after 1 December 2026. Ask which six they are before you pick a plan.
Linking your HR system needs Premium and at least 100 seats
Mitti connects to 11 HR systems, including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, BambooHR and HiBob. New starters appear and leavers are deactivated automatically, on a daily sync at a time you choose. The link needs Premium or Enterprise and at least 100 full or lite seats. For other HR systems, Mitti asks buyers to check with its account team.
Automatic user set-up from your login system needs Enterprise
Staff can log in with their work account on Premium and Enterprise. Adding and removing users automatically from your login system needs the Enterprise plan. This is separate from the HR system link.
The current training matrix covers mandatory courses only, with no date range
Only mandatory courses appear in the training matrix. No date range or historical view is available in the current version. By default a team manager sees data only for the groups and sites they manage. The Training Administration permission lets an admin see all users.
AI use can run out, and some of it costs extra
Lite seats get no AI credit allocation. AI Assistant use on a lite seat counts as extra from the first request. Once a plan’s monthly AI credits run out, the AI Assistant is unavailable until they reset the next month. Under Mitti’s terms, Mitti may also disable or degrade the service until you buy more usage or the limit resets.
AI output and library content need your own check
Mitti has not verified the accuracy of AI output. It recommends that you review an AI translation. A converted document may not match the original one to one. Under Mitti’s terms, the content library may contain sponsored content provided by industry leaders.
Once you sign, the seat count and the term are fixed
Mitti prices by the seat or by the location. Location-based pricing is a fixed cost per location with unlimited users included. On seat pricing, the seat count sets your bill. Mitti’s help centre counts three seat types, which are full, lite and guest. Its pricing FAQ counts two on Premium and Enterprise, full and guest. A lite seat has full access to Training. A guest seat costs nothing extra and does not include Training.
After you sign, the contract holds you to that count. Under Mitti’s terms, you cannot decrease the quantities you bought during the subscription term. Each term renews on its own, for a period equal to the first term, at the rates then in force. Either side can stop that with 30 days’ written notice. Fees are non-refundable and non-cancellable unless the agreement provides otherwise. You may end a service at any time, but you get no credit or refund. Premium and Enterprise carry a 99.9% monthly uptime promise for core services.
Leaving needs planning too. You must export your data before the term ends, because you have no access afterwards. Mitti keeps personal information for as long as it needs to provide the service.
You could also run training steps with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map
Nine questions for Mitti’s sales team
- Which six features moved from Premium to Enterprise, and which do we use today? Good answer: A written list, and the date each one stops on our plan.
- What does Enterprise cost for our seat count? Good answer: One written price for our seats, with the features that need Enterprise named.
- Which seat types do our staff need, and what does each cost? Good answer: A price for every seat type, in writing.
- How many AI credits will our admins and learners use in a month, and what happens when they run out? Good answer: A monthly figure for our seats, and a written limit on extra charges.
- Which outside companies process our staff data for AI, and where? Good answer: A named list of companies and regions, and the switch that turns the AI Assistant off.
- Which lessons need an internet connection, and how do we tell them from the rest? Good answer: A list of lesson types, tested on our own phones.
- How do we keep scores from courses we already own as SCORM files? Good answer: A written method that keeps the scores, or a plan to rebuild the courses.
- How do we see training history from a past date? Good answer: A view or export we can test before we sign.
- Can we cap the fee at renewal, and when can we change the seat count? Good answer: A capped rate in the order form, and a dated window to change quantities.
Alternatives to Mitti Training, including buying nothing
If Mitti Training does not fit, look at Axonify, YOOBIC, TalentLMS and Trainual. Keeping your current setup is a fifth option.
Mitti’s training matrix covers mandatory courses only and has no date range. Axonify tracks knowledge scores, confidence data and coaching signals. It gives managers and leaders a live view of readiness. YOOBIC ties training to the work. Its rules trigger training when task scores show a team needs support. Its integrations update compliance status and collect e-signatures when a mandatory course is completed.
Mitti itself says a dedicated LMS may be a better fit for people outside your organisation. TalentLMS suits training of both internal and external audiences. For your own staff on phones, TalentCards is the closer like-for-like. It is TalentLMS’s mobile training platform for teams away from a desk. Standard costs $0.80 a user a month and Premium costs $1.20. Both are sold in blocks of 50 users from 50. Mitti Premium costs $24 a seat a month with annual billing. Check what each one includes before you compare them.
Mitti aims Training at frontline and operational staff, not as a general corporate LMS. Trainual combines training, knowledge and operations in one platform. That suits training that also needs the company’s own how-to documents. Trainual is best suited to companies of 25 to 1,000 employees, and some companies use it with thousands of people.
Keeping your current setup makes sense if you own SCORM courses whose scores you must keep. Mitti imports them as slides, and SCORM scores do not count toward its course scores.
