Rippling Learning Management
Rippling Learning Management turns the employee record into a training plan. Location, department or role decides who takes which course. Admins see who is overdue without building a report.
Mandatory training that follows the HR record. Rippling sells it alongside its required core platform.
Your mandatory courses depend on where staff work or what they do. You want the HR record to decide who takes what. Overdue training should show without extra reports.
You need learning without Rippling’s core platform. Your rules say staff data must be held outside the US.
Rippling prices by custom quote. Across its products, most cost a set amount per employee per month, and some add a monthly base fee.
It assigns training from the employee record and tracks who finishes
Rippling assigns live and online courses from employee details. Enrolment can follow location, department or role, so staff in different places can get different courses. One record feeds HR and training, and learning outcomes connect back to the employee record.
An admin can see who is overdue without building anything. Built-in analytics track course completions and overdue training. Enrolment reports are pre-built, and they can be combined with other Rippling data. Quiz results show inside each course. Reminders go out by email or push notification. Rippling’s reports are always audit-ready.
The Go1 course library is built into the product. Customers also build their own courses with video, images and quizzes. They can upload SCORM packages, which are the standard file format for e-learning courses.
The AI stays under admin control. Admins can switch AI features on or off. AI actions need human confirmation. Usage data is not used to train AI models. Rippling holds an ISO 42001 certificate for managing AI. Rippling AI reads live Rippling data and Help Centre content. One customer asks it for a report of overdue training.
See our market guide for the other learning products.
Retraining, US compliance courses and any device are built in
Yearly retraining and certificates are built in
With one click, an admin can enrol employees and managers in courses. They can be re-enrolled every year if needed. Certification enforcement is built in.
US compliance courses arrive ready to assign
The ready-to-use compliance bundles come with location-based enrolment. They include sexual harassment training in all 50 US states. AI search over the Go1 library takes plain-language prompts.
Staff can learn on any device
The whole course library works on desktop, mobile and tablet. Employees can enrol themselves in a course.
It suits courses that depend on where staff work or what they do
It suits a company whose mandatory courses follow where staff work or what they do. Sibros grew from 20 to 100 employees and uses it for mandatory training. Rippling issues the courses, tracks completions and schedules sessions. Sibros also runs a monthly workflow that flags overdue training.
Sibros reports time saved and compliance, without figures. That is one customer at one size.
It depends on Rippling’s data, and its course and language counts differ
Training is only as good as the data inside Rippling
Rippling’s HR products share a single data source. The learning product runs on the employee data inside it. Rippling’s product page counts 650 or more integrations. Its integrations blog counts 600 or more third-party apps. Ask which of your systems link to the learning product, and whether data kept outside Rippling can assign training.
Rippling gives two course counts
Rippling’s launch blog puts the Go1 library at over 70,000 courses. Its product page puts it at 80,000 or more. Its Go1 partnership blog counts over 250 providers. Go1’s Premium Pro and Premium Essentials plans count over 300. Ask for the numbers that match your plan.
Rippling gives two language counts
Rippling’s product page gives 15 or more languages. Its Go1 partnership blog puts courses in over 40 languages. Ask which languages your staff will see in the app, and which languages each course you need comes in.
Staff data sits in US data centres
Rippling houses data in US-based AWS data centres. If your staff work outside the US, check what your data rules require. Rippling also holds a SOC 2 Type 2 report, so ask to see it.
Shared channels can show an AI answer to everyone
Rippling AI answers based on the permissions of whoever asks. The same question can get different answers for different people. If you ask in a channel or group message, everyone there can see the response. Rippling AI does not check who is in the channel first. Ask whether training data can appear that way.
Ask for the learning product on its own line
Rippling prices by custom quote, and bills most products per employee per month. It sells each product separately, but alongside the required core platform. Compare quotes on the learning product alone, so the two costs stay apart.
Course content can add to the bill. A customer can choose the US course catalogue or the global catalogue. Buying both costs an additional fee.
Rippling publishes Learning Management Services Terms for training and course management and for content on the learning system. Read them before you sign. Ask which terms cover the Go1 courses.
You could also run training steps with agents built on your own systems. We have mapped what that looks like. The HR Agent Map
What to ask Rippling before you sign
- What does the learning product cost on its own line, at our headcount? Good answer: One written quote, with the core platform on a separate line.
- Which course catalogue is in the quote, the US one, the global one or both? Good answer: The catalogue named in writing, with the fee for the other.
- How many courses and languages come with our plan? Good answer: A written count for our plan, in the languages our staff use.
- Which terms cover the Go1 courses, Rippling’s Learning Management Services Terms or Go1’s own? Good answer: A named document, with the courses it covers.
- Which of our systems link to the learning product? Good answer: A written list, with what each link sends.
- Which of our data does Rippling process as our data processor, and which does it not? Good answer: A written list taken from the data agreement.
- Can training data appear in a Rippling AI answer in a shared channel? Good answer: A setting that our admins control.
- Which customer near our headcount will talk to us about mandatory training? Good answer: A named customer who can give figures for time saved.
Alternatives to Rippling, including buying nothing
If Rippling’s learning product does not fit, look at Go1, SkyPrep and Schoox. You can also buy no learning product.
Go1 sells the library that Rippling builds in. Rippling’s own pages give two course counts and a provider count below Go1’s. Buying from Go1 tells you what a named plan holds. Premium Pro and Premium Essentials cover over 80,000 courses from over 300 providers in 120 or more languages. Rippling is one of Go1’s integration partners.
Rippling bills most products per employee per month. SkyPrep counts active users, meaning people who log in. A repeat login does not count again. Going over the active-user limit costs an extra fee unless you upgrade. The help centre puts it at $5 per user on an annual plan. That changes the bill if not every employee takes training. SkyPrep supports Rippling among its native HR system connections. Once authorised, it reads user data from the connected HR system.
Rippling’s learning product runs on Rippling’s own data. Schoox connects to Rippling and to ADP, Oracle, Paylocity, SAP, UKG and Workday. Learning then does not depend on one HR platform. Schoox prices by entitlements such as authorised users.
Buying no learning product is a real option when your courses do not depend on location, department or role. Assigning courses that way is Rippling’s strength, as in its 50-state harassment bundles. Check what you would gain from the link between the HR record and training before you pay for it. Our guide for companies whose HR system has its own learning product covers that choice in general.
